Thank you very much!
I couldn't find detailed references on the Japanese site...
It was very helpful.

Sorry, I have a question. Where in your local files when making your mod did you change the cost of influence needed to claim enemy star systems? I would like to make a mod that removes only the cost of territorial claims.

I seem to have mistaken how the game treats percentage calculations. I'll make a standalone mod that doesn't make influence completely trivia. It'll just be the 50% claim reduction and no influence gain boost. Shouldn't be too long to upload, as it's basically just changing a couple of numbers on this one.

Yeah, that's pretty much what it boils down to. The accessibility is incredibly good, the documentation just needs to be better. Somebody should fix up that wiki. :/

Also, uhhhh...
Holy fuck this is insanely broken if you take perks that reduce claim cost. You can claim an entire empire for 0 influence and just grab their entire country. That's a little bit insane.
Maybe reduce it down to 50%...?

That is true. The problem is that there's no real documentation. The wiki is fairly incomplete and largely outdated, so a lot of the modding process is trial and error to see what Paradox did, why it worked, and how you can manipulate it.

@Maritisa But you gotta give it to Paradox - not many games allow for such modification of the game. And once you got the basics of Stellaris modding, it's quite simple.

Stellaris modding is a strange beast, largely because it's... it's all text files? (always has been)

On one hand it means you really don't need any special tools to make a stellaris mod (unless you want to make animated portraits in which case FECK YOUUUUUU) but it does mean that accomplishing the thing you want to do is... not very clear, because you don't have a dev environment to give you context for anything. (Which to be fair most game mods suffer from the same issue, no context cause no dev env)
