By power dampener I'm assuming you may be referring to the battery in the junction compartment? Its purpose is for example if you throttle the engine fully from a standstill. Normally this introduces a big power fluctuation in the grid that the reactor can't compensate for on time, leading to power outages. The whole purpose of the battery is to compensate for said fluctuation until the reactor can adjust itself accordingly.

Okay so I believe this submarine never actually updated properly, which deeply saddens me because that means for roughly an entire month nothing was actually updated. Hopefully this should be updated now, because I made sure to test that it was updated. I also tossed in some other things, go check it out in the change log if you'd like.

I'd like to say that I've updated this sub, come check out the change log and see if anything catches your eye. I'm also sorry for my inactivity, I took a bit of a break from this game and I'll start by remastering some of my old submarines like the Phalanx or Leviathan. You should possible see these released hopefully sometime this month.

First off let me say thanks so much for making this if i may humbly ask for permission to post my own variant of your sub with four additional mods made her more like a true U-boat added twin machine guns to the wintergarden a coil deck gun and a railgun torpedo launcher with homing torpedos as well as decoys she's a true wolf of steel now

This sub is state of the art, so many little details and functions, and they fit together very well. Perfect for stealth mission for 3-4 players, it makes every monster encounter a challenge even at low difficulty, but it makes you appreciate everything you have. I mean it, every knife counts! Playing it is a lot of fun, highly recommended.

Fix the Phalanx sub, its a great design but it doesn't work correctly.

yeah, it needs some serious work alright and i think i'll consider trying to fix it since it's so hard to get through.

something small that would improve the submarine would be to make the compartment with the supercapacitors and batteries large enough to walk through by just crouching

i know but it would've been difficult to repair if the ballast were in the stern

might consider removing the grenades from the officers cabinet, i'm having second thoughts since the submarine is naturally cramped as is

Admittedly it isn't that great, and that's what the discharge coil on the bottom seeks to try and remedy. The truth is this sub wasn't made to be as effective as my other subs, which I'll be releasing once I update them to look aesthetically relevant.

it'd be great if it had more coil guns for coverage, but the lack of coverage makes it impractical to use, we where getting shredded on the bell and nothing we could do about it,
