Getting the arkship back and a design is why I will play this agin it would be cool if we can do the same thing to the citadel in the original mod I can't upgrade to the citadel.

I'm working on it. Unfortunately, work is slow due to a lack of both time and motivation. Additionally, the loss of my old files has led to a rewrite. This takes more time, but also lets me make the mod better. The new version will have most of the old features, as well as a few new ones that I shan't spoil.

Absolutely love the mod, but i have one teeny thing, when i made and colonized the phenomonal ringworld as the stellarborne, all of them switched to phenomonal gaia worlds. know why this may have happened?

I looked at it a bit, myself. Now ‘ascending’ as the Champion gives you the same country type as the OE, and gives you events to research their techs. At a glance, what I can see is notably missing is the ability to build their megastructures and the changes you made to the OE jobs (specifically allowing pops with the Champion trait to have them).

Probably not. I've yet to check exactly what the update adds, but the bulk of this mod is definitely not needed anymore. I may make an update for CR later that removes everything now obtainable by base SOFE while leaving stuff like the megastructures.

Okay, so the fix I expected to work for base SOFE is NOT working for base SOFE. I will keep working and will hopefully come up with something that DOES soon, but I expect it to take a while.

Right, sorry about the delay. I was trying to get the base SOFE issue fixed as well, but that messed up the OE like you would not believe. Will try and fix it in a bit, no ETA yet.

Okay, I have confirmed that yes, it is indeed what I thought it was. I can also tell you that yes, it's the result of Paradox being dumb and letting the FEs build ships they don't have the techs for. The upside of this is that I can easily fix that. The update should be out in about half an hour, assuming the testing goes well. The downside is that the FEs get four of the OE ships from base SOFE as well. I have notified Chiru but can't fix it myself without overriding another file from base SOFE.

The only mod that lets you play an FE I know is Twink's Playable Fallen Empires (a mod I help out with occasionally). Ascended Empires and Lost Empires from ZOFE, for example, don't count.

Honestly, given the lore behind SOFE, actual FEs shouldn't have access to this tech anyway. Although I guess if you're playing as a Fallen Empire with Twink's PFEs, it IS technically possible to 'redeem' yourself and become the Champion if you actually win despite the deck being completely stacked against you from the Omega Empire's inherent damage bonus against FEs and AFEs.

They shouldn't get stuff from my mod because they shouldn't have the required flag. I can check if it's possible to explicitly prevent them from getting it, but that'd also apply to player-controlled FEs.

Would it be possible to bar Fallen Empires and Awakened Fallen Empires from getting access to these techs? Since FEs and AFEs gain all techs at the start of every game, they do gain access to the techs. Normally this doesn't matter since they build all their ships from events, anyway, but some mods add custom FEs that can indeed build their own ships, and I've seen them using OE ships due to this mod.

Okay, so giving FL tech to others is out because it doesn't fit SOFE's lore. Assuming I can find a method of doing it, I will let Champions give the dirty, filthy pleb scum SL tech and maybe the buildings.

There are no plans to change the communications thing on my end. You'd have to ask Chiru, the author of ACOT and SOFE about that. I considered letting the Champion give Static Light tech and maybe eventually Flowing Light tech to others, but have not figured out a good method of doing so. We'll see what the future brings.

Oh, also, are there any plans to add new things to the mod like more options to the Stellar Communications tab, like destroying specific empires all at once or creating new species and randomly generated empires? Or become something of the OE yourself, granting gifts to pleb empires. Really enjoying this mod btw, finally getting a chance to use the Stellarborne in a way that can still actively be diplomatic to the Galaxy, something I always saw as a flaw with the god species mods.

You should get both the Arkship event and the event that gives you the Champion civics, but they don't occur at the same time. You will usually get both within a decade or two.

Are the events I get after beating the OE supposed to be randomized? Half the time I get the event to get The Arkship (Lesson 5). This is before I ever get the event to actually study Flowing Light Weaponry (Lesson 1)
