I think the sword the cohort has is pretty much a spatha which while it took until the later mpire to gain popularity is what the Romans did use. Plus I agree with the author, it is less boring.

ahahahha totally forgot about that. Well I was annoyed all roman units have the same fucking boring gladious and wanted to bring some variation ;)
