Luciferium Rain (Continued)

Since the Luciferium hediff is applied independently from (and before?) the Luciferium Need hediff, it's very possible through moderate rain exposure to get all the benefits of luciferium with none of the downsides.

Brilliant thanks :) sounds like fun

@CobaltEclipse117 No, its a buildup similar as toxic rain
Daphne Blake 7 Oct, 2023 @ 7:43am
Im considering adding this however just to check, is the effect instant? I dont wanna have half my colony addicted because I couldn't get them inside before it occurred etc, or is there a slight warning before it starts kicking in
Mlie  [author] 9 Jul, 2023 @ 11:53am
@crimemaker Should work better now, the changes with toxic sensitivity in Biotech caused the calculations to become inverted.
Archy 8 Jul, 2023 @ 12:53am
animal in the map seems to be the same, it just pawns that got the problem
Archy 8 Jul, 2023 @ 12:51am
used to work fine, then after biotech, now pawns just die right away shortly after exposing under the rain from too much luciferium building up. they even wore the gear to combat toxic environment that used too work with the last time before biotech

Thanks :)

@Kopp Should be fixed now, thanks for the report!

Hey Mlie,
while the event is happening i am getting a red error.
Happens with only this mod loaded and can be reproduced by just starting the incident per dev mode.

From my testing everything seems to work. Thought I will report it anyway.
Greetings!

@Butterbox Cant really answer for the decisions of the original author on that one.
Butterbox 16 Aug, 2020 @ 4:50am
Shouldn't it effect the need for them? That would only make sense.
Mlie  [author] 15 Aug, 2020 @ 11:34am
@Butterbox The rain functions as the Toxic fallout. When a colonist is in the rain they have a chance of getting affected and each time they get affected the amount of nanites in the body increases. If the rain is short or the colonist gets under a roof in time the effect will wear off, the same as with toxic fallout.
If a colonist is exposed to the rain too long they will get the second level of the effect and during this time they have a chance of getting luciferium addiction. If they get that the original effect is removed. The rain itself does not affect the need for Luciferium if they already have a need for it.
Butterbox 15 Aug, 2020 @ 10:45am
Luciferium rain doesn't effect Luciferium need when it is raining onto a colonist.
Butterbox 15 Aug, 2020 @ 10:44am
Hey I have been trying to play a run with Luciferium rain forever. The rain seems to only effect each colonist once and does not apply the second dose. So, you need to actually find Luciferium for your colonists after it wears off and being in the rain doesn't do anything. Please fix.

@Butterbox Thank you for the infromation!
Butterbox 11 Aug, 2020 @ 9:57am
@trollersauce yes just go to scenario editor and select "set permanent game condition". Then change the default one to luciferium rain.
Mlie  [author] 10 Aug, 2020 @ 9:47pm
@trollersauce Not sure, you might need a patch for it
trollersauce 10 Aug, 2020 @ 4:38pm
so like, is there a way to make it where lucy rain is just active all the time for a playthrough <.<
