my little brother loves your mod but we cant play it together because every time he selects tenru the game crashes. only with tenru btw deffo this character's problem

a really solid character, but i don't like how awful is his wavedash and airdodge, also i don't like that the uspecial is not able to grab walls when he used to

Probably the best workshop character made so far. I've been playing Rivals for about 3 years now and never really had a true main in the workshop community til now. Also "monke flip"

Me and my friend were going through playing characters on the workshop, when we discovered Tenru and tried out a tag team of us both both of us playing him... We had so much fun with how insane every match was getting even without knowing how to play em' at all. Good job on making a blast of a character.

Hey, I really enjoy this character, unique forms of movement are truly what make characters enjoyable in platform fighters, especially ones that interact with platforms. I have two small suggestions though, his down tilt has really large range compared to ranno/maypul and is also fairly disjointed, this would not be a huge issue but the animation is much shorter than the hitbox. the only other thing is his back air: it cant be hit canceled at any hit like other multihit moves in the game, making it feel odd sometimes.

Finally, I love how you've added mechanics into specific situations that, while not being a true gimmick, add a bit more depth and flexibility in Tenru's gameplay. Things like getting your doublejump back with a dair, or shorterhops, or canceling grounded down-b into other moves are great for adding a touch more complexity to a character who would otherwise be a little on the simple side. The way you've implemented these is also really good for freeing up player expression and allowing them to play the way they want to play (I especially like the dair jump). This is a fantastic design all around, and it really shows how much time and effort went into this character.

This character really stands out as being very similar in design to a Rivals character, mainly due to how you've treated the "gimmick" of the character. Pretty much all of the Rivals main cast (outside of shovel knight and elliana) has a gimmick that while important for their character's strength, isn't necessarily overly focused on or required to even play the character. Things like Ori's wisp, or Zetter's fire, these mechanics are subtle gimmicks that enhance the character while not *being* the character. You've recreated this style fantastically, with Tenru using the grab mechanic as an important part of his kit, but not a necessary one to function as a character (outside of recovery, which works well with his character). I really enjoy this type of character, since there's usually so much more creativity in play due to not requiring a specific pattern to function.

As of the current date, I am subscribed to about 400 different workshop characters, with a vast majority (90+%) being serious designs with thoughtful and unique movesets. Out of all of those characters, Tenru stands out as being one of the three characters that I judged to be very close to a dev-created Rivals character, and one of the best designs I've seen to date. This character feels great just to move around with, they have diverse and interesting options, and just as importantly, they feel fun to fight against (incredibly rare in the workshop, and honestly in Smash-type games in general).

this character is extremely fun! However, his recovery is quite frustrating. It's obvious that his recovery has near to no horizontal coverage as a way to balance him however, his recovery often goes through the stage and doesn't work, and this coupled with how low you have to go for it to connect in the first place results in a not so fun time. I would suggest focusing on fixing his recovery before tweaking anything else. Also, if you cannot fix this problem you could allow the player to angle the move, slightly increasing the horizontal coverage of his recovery.
