Glad you like it beans_man_mcgee.png :)
If you are into podracers I highly recommend you check out the one made by user M.E.G.

Great Work!

My suggestion is you need to install a few RCS thrusters on the front arm.

I tested the new version. The turning and the speed has improved which is great. But when turning, the ship leans to the false direction hinders mobility. You might have to fix it via changing the leaning angle. The air brake is there but not strong enough. The arm still flexes a lot. I recon you might want to change the travel amount of the shock to make it more rigid. Anyway, there is still a lot to improve.

Feels like you have a fair bit more control, still a little wide on turning for my liking but far better than the previous which didn't really want to turn. Love it, I'll keep it and do some little tweaks to for my preferences.

@Ownedpilot

Just finished looking at most of this stuff- I have adjusted the geometry of the front suspension so it is much more rigid (Also lowered the dampening by 1/2 and increased the spring force 2x) which helps the pads push against the ground/lift the cockpit less.

I also changed everything except for the airbrakes to "Light Plastic" instead of Aeroplastic (If you have suggestion for better material I'm open!)

Per /u/Leiywen on reddit I have adjusted some stuff in the programming menu that helps the craft handle differently as well. Would love to know what you think of these changes!

Ownedpilot I'll look at all of this!

Except for the moving front pods :P My reference art made it look like this Mirage ship (Wip3out Fury HD) in particular had suspension arms, which is why I added them. (ships like Piranha, Harimau, AG, etc. will omit the suspension seen on this build)

I had wanted mesh material for everything originally, but when painted white it turns gray.

Where should the airbrake be? I couldn't remember exactly so I went with the largest panel so that it could create the most drag. Pretty sure I remember it being just some square flaps at the rear for AG, with some other ship classes having them at the front.

Really appreciate the feedback, I'm going to make some changes to it today! :)

The third thing I noticed is your ship is too slow. I checked the material of the panels and noticed that nearly all the bright colored panels are made of aeroplastic. Aeroplastic should only be used when you need lift (for example, on a wing of a plane). This material produces tons of drag and should be avoided when lift is not necessary.

Finally, the airbrake is not installed at the right location. This can be easily fixed. What I am proposing is that a RCS thruster should be mounter near the airbrake so a reverse thrust can be provided when airbrake opens.

Also, you should bind jet engine to W.

The first thing I noticed when playing your creation is that the front pods move when driving. The mechanics is surely aesthetically pleasing but it would greatly hinders your ability to control it. Ships in Wip3out are perfectly rigid so you should make yours rigid as well.

The second thing I noticed when driving your vehicle is you only used the steering from the hover pad. The steering power from hover pads is not enough. RCS thrusters should be your choice of steering because it is powerful and it offer the ship the ability to steer when stationary which is a feature that is seen in some Wip3out trailers. Also, counter spin should always be on as well as fix rotation.

Thanks Ownedpilot! AG is next on my list, I always preferred racing them ;)

I'm not so great with the programming, do you have any ideas for a good control system? I'd be down to credit you if I could put an authentic handling on the vehicles I create!

Even though I am a AG systems fanboy, I immediately downloaded this simply because it is too good to ignore. What I hope is you should try to recreate the signature driving dynamics of Wip3out which would make this creation perfect.
