Hey WebKnight - great mod! I have noticed that sometimes I get locked into sprinting animations. I am playing with a few other mods such as Enhanced Movement Rework. is this something you have seen/heard about before?

If possible, could you add an exit to this to prevent it getting abused while in any of the medic animations. At the minute players can start moving while still treating another player (They move while still in the medic animation kneeling/prone, but it's the mod that allows them to do so)

I have been using this mod extensively in nearly all of my mod packs. I just now encountered my first incompatibility issue. You cannot use alternative sprinting while using MJOLNIR armor from Operation Trebuchet, but you can adjust the speed your characters moves in the suit. So it isn't much of an issue at the end of the day. Thanks for this awesome mod.

Disabling the animation by pressing right click should have been the way to go my friend. It would have made the transition to aiming much more fluent.

This seems to bypass the ACE medical setting preventing running when you've put a splint on a broken leg. So, I've had to simply let splints allow running again to make things consistent.

Hey, using this and the animated grenade mod can cause a crash if you try alternate sprint (or accidentally alternate sprint) while holding a grenade in your hand. Anyway to fix this or make them compatible?

Hi, in combination with "Adjustable Walking Speed", there is a way to speedup running animation to crazy-fast.. well, it's fun, but immersion braking as hell. Please, would you mind to look at that case ? To try that bug, just run with double shift and chage speed with ctrl + middle mouse. Thank You

@Bud Liteyear; Only when specifically told to do so with scripts.

playmovenow is the scripting command.

@Bosnian Bodybuilder; I actually have a script that does exactly that - makes the AI use it under specific instructions. I use it to simulate AI fleeing an area that enemies have overrun. It's very fun to shoot them in the back as they flee a trenchline for instance, just like the Brecourt scene in Band of Brothers.

Hope one day you'll be able to add this tool to AI, like VCOM has enhanced movement! I've seen plenty times when AI could've used this just as much as we could, it would be cool!

Will there eventually be an alternate animation for steep inclines? At current it seems to ignore terrain unless its water.

@Kiwik [GR]: My suggestion. Leave stamina on. Turning off stamina encourages people to play stupid, in my experience.

*But* if you have ACE, make stamina recovery much faster so players have less down time. That's what I do for my unit. Stamina still exists but it's only a factor if you're constantly running. Not usually just hauling gear, unless you have a stupendous amount of gear like over 100 pounds.

If you're only using vanilla, you can change the weight coefficient too. This isn't as flexible but you can now carry more stuff at less stamina cost.

@WebKnight Unfortunately our unit plays with stamina off, so they would be able to abuse it :S

We're still gonna give it a shot and trust our players not to run everywhere like this.
I was hoping there would be a quick fix, but I wouldn't want to ask you to work extra just for our sake

Dumb question: is there any way to limit for how long you can double sprint? Kind of like in MW

This mod is awesome to allow for a short burst of speed in combat, but if we can't limit for how long you can use it at once, all of our players end up abusing it to zoom around the map :S

Idk if that would be doable, but it would be amazing to have a setting to tweak the maximum sprint time

I tried using this mod but for some reason it glitches if you for example misclick the binoculars making you stuck in the animation, sometimes it bugs out when you saving the saves from singleplayer or custom multiplayer coop missions.

@WebKnight, I'm talking about the animation update for running with the gun up. Found nothing in the addon setting to revert the animation to the previous one. The one from the initial release was better (for me) in first person, it felt personalized and a bit more realistic :). In first person view the new one looks weird, left hand is way to low to keep balance (in the old one its whipping high as it should), the gun hand also seems low and bouncy and the barrel is way to much up front (would kill the wrist from the weight). I keep it in a steeper angle a bit higher, and the gun hand motion is more stable "back to front" as it's more of a push movement when running with a gun. Never commented so much... feel like I'm bitching...

@ WebKnight Damn... I preferred the old weapon up animation (looks exactly how I sprint playing paintball :P). Moving the keybind selection from configure addons to controls took away the possibility for more complex binds like SHIFT+ALT+W (I play on a small and weird gaming keyboard and that's how my bind is for this mod). Stopping to crouch and prone are most welcome. Would it work somehow changing the anim for the "weapon up" manually in the pbo (just for my personal SP use)? Anyway, that's my feedback. You are still the god of arma moding :)

Do you know if any other mods interfere with this? For some reason it stopped working. I am not sure why? I repaired it, uninstalled it, reinstalled it, and still not working :(((

Hey WebKnight, when you are in the Zeus camera and press the keybind for Alternative Running it's start running while you are in the Zeus camera. I hope it can be fixed, thank you in advance :D

If you use this with Binos out, it causes an infinite run glitch. Only real bug with this mod that can be quite annoying. Not sure what causes it.

Why the hell would it be bundled in with regular controls? Thats like throwing PBO'S Into the 'Arma3 Addons" folder. The mod should be sorted better. Also calling it "alternative" running is misleading. Its not an alternative,its an extra method of running,it doesnt replace running.

Some uniform methods and clarity is always appreciated when releasing mods.

No keybind option menu exists when load mod
