Hey @Bran5623! Currently the mod gives me an error message and Im working to fix it.It still functions but it annoys me. Will update ASAP, but the 1.3 versions should also work with 1.4 without any major problems. Sorry for the delay

Hey @< blank >! I noticed the weapons never showing up in shops or missions. I have no idea why, since I barely understand how the game engine works, the weapons are just copy pasted Assault Rifle and Sniper rifle with some stats modified and custom textures. that was in 1.1, It worked back then, now it doesn't and I don't know how to fix it.
I never intended to make the weapons craftable since archotech stuff are never craftable.
If you know how to fix the mod, feel free to post your own based on this (actually creating the mods is not that hard), and I update this one with a link to your. I know this sounds like "if you have a problem, fix it yourself", but as I said, if I'd know how to fix it I'd do it.

Great mod, thanks for having created it. I found out that the rifles wont fire as they seem to have no ammo. Also, there is none to purchase or craft, could you check into that? Thanks a lot in advance.

Updated it, although it was just literally adding one line to the about file. Also, both rifles should be a bit quieter. Should had done it 10 months ago. Also for some reason my mod has 1400 subscribers and 4 stars. How the f... Anyway, Thanks All for the patience :cozydarkseer:

I think it's more an issue of the pitch of the sound rather than pure volume, it really stands out among other guns except the anti mech rifle which is annoyingly loud on a whole different level. :P

@VonArens I halved the sound already so not sure why it's the case, but if nothing else helps, you can edit the files in \Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\2205480522\Defs\ThingDefs_Misc\Weapons\ArchoRifle.xml by adjusting <VolumeRange> values. It's already relatively close to the assult rifle so it shouldn't be that loud...

Finally got around to start a new 'high tech' playthrough and was lucky enough to find the rifle early on from a trader, and I have to agree on the sound volume. It's just too loud and really sticks out compared to any other gun, with exception of the 'anti mech gun' or whatever it's called which is also way too loud. Otherwise I still really like having some end game weaponry :)

I second the volume! For some reason its super loud now! i have various deff editors but they cant really edit the volume of the gun firing! please if you could lower it that would be much apreciated

@[FDG]Lillith The new sound for the archotech rifle is quite loud and jarring compared to what it used to be, would it be possible to at least lower its volume by a lot so it is on par with other guns in the game please?

I honestly would not add qualities to these weapons, they are already so powerfull that they really do not need to be legendary. I also think that, at some point, these weapons are so technologically advanced that you simply cannot make them any better than they already are and any less, they would blow up in your hands, failling to contain their power source.

That's my grain of salt anyway, feel free to make you mod as you want but i personnaly like it as it is right now.

Sorry for my late response :) Was trying to get some picture proof but am still waiting for a new quest which offers these guns, as well as showing my issue with the lacking quality rating. :)

I do however understand your comment regarding the game sometimes just not giving a rating to items (and sometimes it gives a rating to items which apparently are not suposed to have a rating). Example being the medic bag as well as the grenade belts from Vanilla Expanded.

@VonArens it does have quality modifiers. Rimworld sometimes doesn't give quality modifiers to weapons (and maybe apparel, though never seen that personally). It can happen with any gun regardless of being part of a mod or native. Try it by spawning some in Dev mode. :steamhappy:

oh my fucking goodness. wow. first off, thank you for NOT trying to do something you can not comprehensivly do, you kept it fucking simple, and didnt go overboard. You didnt add 4 different versions of the same op gun. you made 2 very nice additions that fill a niche quite nicely. ffs these are the kinds of mods we need, there are too many gun mods that add a fuckton of unedded things thats just serve to clutter the game. thank you.

i remember when i first added orassans and calistans to my game, and they had vey long range snipers 50+ i think, so this will be good
