Does this work differently than the TK from more mental mutations? That one was split into three separate abilities.

Well I'm enjoying hurling bullets like a gun, I'm dissapointed that when you telekinetically hurl an HE missile, boomrose arrow, or grenade it does not explode

From a bit of mild high-ego testing, I feel like it's a little too hard to just *fling* someone as is shown in your mod thumbnail- even as a 50+ ego raw esper I was struggling to move some of the starter chars in joppa.

It shouldn't be that tough, but being able to just throw people around so easily might be too OP-

Have you considered making a channeled "dueling" skill, like sunder?

I.e. "you grasp x with psionic force and begin dragging them away!" and it's a focus effect where they're moved over multiple turns
Enemies would be able to resist out based on some fortitude-related save each turn, meaning that it'd still be difficult to move more powerful chars- they would just automatically resist and aggro you

Your ego would effect your strength against the save, the amount they're moved to their destination per turn, and the amount of damage they take from being slammed against other creatures or things like walls

it would be really cool if you could force choke, crush the brain/heart, or just push an enemy into to the ground until they turn into paste

I noticed that the special enemy is using EncounterTables to attempt to spawn it still, and I think because of that they aren't spawning at all (at a glance that was the case).

atm you can hurl owned chests out of villages to loot them without angering anyone
i doubt this is intended behaviour, though as fun as putting buckets on NPC's heads in skyrim

@Fruit snoot that's actually a great idea and they could just make the walls take a littile bit of damage because you're taking off a chunk of it.

Just a small suggestion if you'd ever be so inclined, The combat with this feels great though its a bit of a drag to have to carry around a bunch of disposable objects like stones to use as ammo since hurling objects from the ground seems to damage them very quickly, My suggest would be to simply allow the player to use telekinesis on the ground or walls to loose a stone from the environment for the purposes of easily acquiring disposable projectiles, I think it'd add a lot! thanks again for the cool mod c:

I have a mod with a Telekinesis power that has "lift or place creature" "throw" and "take" activated abilities. That appears in my mutation screen at character creation and in mutation buy choices. But if I wish for Mutation: Telekinesis, what I get is a different one with one Telekinesis activated ability, one "Telekinetic Throwing" toggle, context sensitive "hurl" and ""move" commands in menus with a description of what hurl and move mean in the context, and that bug where if you select a remote tile with the active Telekinesis ability sometimes you get your entire inventory list..

That second one, the one from the wish, sounds like yours. It's not causing me any problems of course, so from my perspective it's just a minor curiosity, but I worried it meant someone is plagiarising your code or something :)

Does this appear in another mod somewhere? I'm pretty sure this is the telekinesis power I have in my game but I can't figure out where it came from because I am not subscribed to this

Sometimes when selecting things on the ground it will show your whole inventory, looking for the thing on the ground is hard with this happening.

Oh! new damage tweaks work great from what I can tell, In testing I discovered a small little bug seemingly however where you are given the option to move things telekentically through your inventory, doing this seems to just straight up delete the item :o great update tho!

As of last night's update, the math for how much damage collisions do has been turned up. You'll still need strong telekinesis to move things around hard enough to hurt, but the hurt potential is higher. (Wish up a Psychotic Psychokinetic for a hostile demo.)

Cannot fathom the point of this mutation given that it cant really do any damage, execution and function is great otherwise but I don't see why id want if if i cant huck boulders at things to do my dirty work

I like the concept, but as a damage dealing mechanism, it simply doesn't work.

I tested by wishing myself to level 102 with 52 Telekinesis, which has "Telekinetic Strength: 208"

Hurling small boulders at things does nothing. The log gets spammed with "[Item] collides with [Item]" - hurling a boulder into a wall a single time will generate 5+ messages about hitting the wall. But no damage.

Hurling creatures works, rarely. If you can hurl them into a wall, sometimes they take 3-5ish damage. Over 90% of the time there's no effect, I can't figure out what triggers the damage. Terrible damage when it works, rarely works.

At level 102, this skill is utterly failing to kill level 1 snapjaws. Overall it's a non-combat utility skill that I would hesitate to spend 1 point on, on par with Telepathy, and it costs 4 points. I like the idea but something's gone very wrong with the implementation.

How would you feel about a more direct application of telekinesis for damage, like using it to telekinetically crush something at a distance? perhaps like a physical damage version of sunder mind

Throwing creatures doesn't tend to help very much- I'd assumed with the Hurl action you could throw creatures into eachother, or into walls to deal damage, but it deals no damage at all, even with a crazy high level character and mutation.

Any chance you could make it so that having Telekinesis also lets you equip things like torches in your Floating Nearby slot, thereby freeing up your hands without needing a floating glowsphere? I think it'd be a neat touch

Very cool mod
