No, ms19901205, they are hostile to the player as well as to the worms. They are there for a bit of combat variety and scenery.
ms19901205 27 Jul @ 6:55am
I encountered two NPCs fighting worms in the Tomb of Tides.
Are they characters that can be saved?
Bofrab 29 Jun @ 8:33am
Hmmm true.
Prominence  [author] 28 Jun @ 2:07pm
Bofrab, while that is something that could feasibly be done going forward (like when dojos and class trainers get checked off for ports in the base game), it's not something that I could easily add to existing saves. In my latest playthrough, I've been using the X feature that the game has built in. It's simple, but effective. Honestly, it's a little therapeutic gradually populating the map with X's.
Bofrab 28 Jun @ 1:45pm
I have a request please. Would it be possible to add an indication on the map to show if you've completed any of the dungeons in this mod? With how many there it can be confusing when coming back to the game and being like "I'll do this dungeon! Oh it's already been completed." I know I could just mark it off on the map with the X or something but I feel like that just being in the mod could help just in case I forget to do that.

thank you!! You were totally right! I was making it harder on myself than I needed to LMAO. There were so many unlit braziers I just assumed!
Prominence  [author] 22 Jun @ 10:03am
There is no brazier lighting puzzle in that tomb, or any that I can immediately recall. You're probably missing a secret passage, which will be on the right side of the map somewhere, DxGGG | Megalomancer.
DxGGG | Megalomancer 22 Jun @ 9:46am
I've lit every brazier in the Tomb of Ash (Or at least, I THINK I have) and I think there must be more to the puzzle than that, but I can't figure out what. I don't think I found a keystone yet.

What am I looking to do? Is it something to do with smithing?
DxGGG | Megalomancer 21 Jun @ 8:31pm
I am a fool; as soon as I asked I realized my mistake. COOL reward, too! :)
DxGGG | Megalomancer 21 Jun @ 8:29pm
I am scratching my head over the puzzle with the Tomb of Rituals, and having looked through the comments on this post and elsewhere I have been unable to find what I'm supposed to be doing to get this done. I've tried matching the elements but it seems that's not it?
DxGGG | Megalomancer 19 Jun @ 5:15am
that DOES help, thank you so much! and thank you as well for the quick response!
Prominence  [author] 19 Jun @ 3:43am
Not exactly. Each tomb has a key crystal and then another, more recently added piece of randomly generated loot created just for this mod. This new loot is typically hidden behind a secret passage and a mechanically locked chest. It would take a lot of base game knowledge to be able to spot what’s new, though. The journal entries for these newer items reference a certain emperor of a long dead civilization, if that helps.
DxGGG | Megalomancer 18 Jun @ 11:54pm
I've been having a blast with these so far! Silly question, is there a way to know for certain you've cleared a tomb out? Is there a specific item to be looking for in each, is there a dialogue that will play when it's done, that sort of thing?
Prominence  [author] 28 May @ 12:51pm
aileen, the secret sepulchers are from my Tetragram mod. You’ll need to recruit Muse and follow her questline to unlock them.
aileen 28 May @ 10:09am
I've found three secret sepulchers,There are four elemental stones in front of each door. but I don't know how to enter the sepulcher. Could you please tell me how to get inside?
Kalamata 28 Jan @ 2:48pm
No problem, I actually went ahead but left a save for before I entered just in case. It works now, thanks for taking the time to fix it!
Prominence  [author] 27 Jan @ 2:02pm
Kalamata, thanks to your report, I was able to spot the issue. It looks like I must have accidentally chopped out Bijou's lines at some point. I wrote some new ones and updated the mod. Hopefully it's all fixed now!
Prominence  [author] 27 Jan @ 2:58am
Thank you, Kalamata. I’ll check to see if there’s an error in the dialog.
Kalamata 26 Jan @ 7:40pm
Yep, Angus said his typical line, just no reply whatsoever.
Prominence  [author] 26 Jan @ 6:56pm
Was it your first time in the tomb?
Kalamata 26 Jan @ 6:43pm
I did, yes. Player character, Reeve, Haggar, Angus, Bijou, and Rook . I used the 6th party member mod, if that helps.
Prominence  [author] 26 Jan @ 5:01pm
Kalamata, do you also have Angus in your party? He's necessary for any and all of the dialog.
Kalamata 26 Jan @ 4:57pm
So it seems when I go to Tomb of Secrets, having Bijou and Rook around doesn't trigger any unique dialogue when entering. I haven't touched Shallow Graves in a while so I cannot recall if there is any further dialogue in there beyond entering, but I doubt it.
Prominence  [author] 20 Jan @ 4:44pm
If memory serves, you only need 4 to 6 of them to unlock everything (Tomb of Apocrypha and Hushwater Portal) .
fishsicles 20 Jan @ 4:14pm
Well I suppose that's the one that went in the drink then. Hopefully I don't need to score 100% of them to open up everything in your modpack...
Prominence  [author] 20 Jan @ 2:54pm
The key crystal in the Tomb of Elements is carried by the Swashbuckler Tomb Guardian .
fishsicles 20 Jan @ 2:13pm
Exiting Tomb of Elements seems to place you north of the island, a few map squares away from the tomb. I also couldn't find a Key Crystal in there - I assume there's meant to be one in every tomb? It doesn't look like I've missed anything; does roping the automata into the water potentially void it?
Prominence  [author] 10 Jan @ 1:49pm
ShineOmega, when I launch Horizon's Gate with Shallow Graves installed, I don't receive this error message. It's possible that it's one of your 180 other mods that are causing this issue. I suggest checking the discord (which has a link on the Steam discussion page) for support. I'm sorry your game is crashing though.

Odukia, if you're talking about the two right beside each other below the starting area, one of them is opened by using a button hidden behind one of the pillars, but the other one is broken and will need explosives to open . There's another one above the starting area, which is also opened by pressing a button hidden behind a pillar . If you're talking about the one near the top right of the area, the button to open it is buried in the dirt nearby .

I hope this helps!
Odukla 21 Dec, 2024 @ 7:52pm
Trying to figure how to open the two sealed chests in tomb of menace, I got through the other ones but i was stumped for like an hour ngl. Any hints you can give me?
Prominence  [author] 5 Oct, 2024 @ 11:38am
Thank you, Verdacy! I'm so happy to hear that my mods have contributed to your enjoyment of the game.
Verdacy 5 Oct, 2024 @ 11:11am
I just purchased this game this week, and went straight to the workshop before even running the game. After a very short browse, I saw and installed your modpack, and then started the game. After about 20hrs of gameplay, I couldn't tell what was base game and what was modded, so I looked into it, and it turns out, all of my favorite things about this game were parts of your mods.

All this is to say, thanks for the incredible work you've done expanding and improving this game! I'm now 54hrs in, with no signs of slowing down, and it's in no small part because of you. <3
Prominence  [author] 5 Oct, 2024 @ 9:59am
If you're not trying to beat the game to unlock the XP multiplier, you can now subscribe to this mod and then load one of your existing saves to do so.
Prominence  [author] 4 Oct, 2024 @ 4:20am
Additionally, I recommend that players experience what the base game has to offer before trying my mods. I know that not everyone plays that way, but a lot of puzzles I’ve put in my mods are significantly more challenging or even frustrating if you don’t have any experience in the base game.
Prominence  [author] 4 Oct, 2024 @ 4:19am
When I first created this mod, I had recently beaten the game twice and was looking for more to do. So I created some dungeons and it expanded from there. Now, many updates later, the end of the base game no longer ends your save. You can keep playing. All of this is to say that you can play the game as normal, engage with some mods, get to the point where you have a good fleet, decent gear, and builds, and then you can tackle the normal end game dungeon. After that, there’s the post game secret dungeon and many of my other more challenging mods to play.

I’ve been considering going in and lowering the amount of XP you get from my modded areas, but at this point I have created so many that it would be a massive undertaking.
'JJ 4 Oct, 2024 @ 3:17am
but that doesnt change the fact that it makes it way to easy and the first playthrough is always the most important and most fun
Prominence  [author] 3 Oct, 2024 @ 7:33pm
After you beat the game once, you unlock an XP slider. You can use it to tone down the amount of XP you get.
kin 3 Oct, 2024 @ 6:09pm
i played with this mod a long time ago, but the added exp made the vanilla game too easy. There is a way to enjoy ur mod without becoming too OP?
'JJ 16 Sep, 2024 @ 2:07pm
great to see people passionate about something and doing something great
also worked without any problems for me (all of your mods)
Prominence  [author] 14 Sep, 2024 @ 4:40am
Thank you, 'JJ! It has been very enjoyable to add to this fantastic game, and the developer is incredibly supportive of the modding community.
'JJ 12 Sep, 2024 @ 6:01pm
hello i wanna thank you for your work. its not even the biggest game and its a very dedicated mod with much love and i appreciate that since it makes my playtime vastly more enjoyable. and this for free.
Mang 22 Jun, 2024 @ 7:55pm
Ah, thanks for trying though. I looked through the dialog titled files, all of which are found in Content/Data/SystemData/Dialog, but they only seem to contain vanilla dialog. In fact the----

Okay found them. Turns out Steam saves all the workshop content elsewhere! I found all of it, thank you so much :)
Prominence  [author] 22 Jun, 2024 @ 11:44am
Mang, I don’t have access to the file name at this time, but it will likely have “dialog” in the title somewhere. It may say “cafe dialog.” What makes this a bit tricky is that my other mods may add dialog for him as well. For instance, Book of Thieves and Mage Hunter each have cafe dialogs that will occasionally feature Angus if he’s in the party.
Mang 22 Jun, 2024 @ 11:28am
Do you know what file the Angus dialogue is stored in? It's so hard when you get a whole landing part of five, but between Reeve, Haggar? (I never got him), Bloodlock, Muse, Rook, Angus, Edmina, Rivia, Biju, Dane (Still working on him)... I never know when I'm gonna miss dialogue encounters!
Prominence  [author] 30 Dec, 2023 @ 9:12am
Happy to help, CELL! Thanks for playing.
CELL 30 Dec, 2023 @ 9:09am
thank you! got it to work now.
Prominence  [author] 30 Dec, 2023 @ 9:03am
Angus blocks it. Get him on your team, then you should be able to interact with it. You might have to move to be right in front of it.
CELL 30 Dec, 2023 @ 9:02am
Sorry if this is obvious question, but how do I open the tomb of loss ? I can see the switch, but can't seem to interact with it.
Prominence  [author] 11 Sep, 2023 @ 3:00am
Vladmirangel, you can just click on that object. You don’t need to use a shovel on it.
