@Emo E-boy Twink Unfortunately at the current moment I have mostly given up on modding so it is most likely there won't be any future work on this mod.

Will you be updating this Mod for v3.12? The portrait changes did prevent them from being selectable in the Empire Creation screen. I've made my own fix (as well as I think it can be), but I didn't want to release it if you had something in the works.

@17 I am back. I had to download the mod to look into it but it left me rather confused. Nethertheless I think I have an easy solution for your problem but it requires a more direct approach from your side. Basically you have to modify a file on your own, but don't worry, here is the guide: Go to the place on your hard drive where you have Steam installed and go to the place:

Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\281990\2441507863\common\

There you find only one file '!_xvcv_mdlc_species_classes.txt'. Open it with a regular editor, go to line 39 and add "android" to it so that it looks like this:

playable = { host_has_dlc = "Synthetic Dawn Story Pack" }

I do love these, they are awesome. I am using it with the SE stuff.

I also had another question. If I use the robot/machine expansion mod, it lets me start the game as robots. Is there a way to get this portrait available for the robots starting out?

@17 This so called 'patch' is only important if you use it in combination with 'SE-HUMANOIDS'-mod. Otherwise it is useless for you. I admit, I appearently made a mistake by putting this patch as 'necessary'.

When I click this one to subscribe, it tells me to do anroids extended patch. When I click that, it tells me androids expanded and androids expanded - female, when I click either of those to subscribe, it tells me I must do the extended patch.

I am not sure how to do this, is there a specific load order I should use?

Hairs do not show up because devs replaces hairs section with attachments

I know exactly what you mean because I tried something similar in the past but that isn't possible for me.

I took a look into the mod (the one you mentioned) and tried to recreate its structure but this leads to having gender-options for the entire ROBOT- and MACHINE-phenotype. 'Animated Synthetics' seems to have solved this by creating a series of new phenotypes that are hidden in the initial species selection. These seems to be the ones with access to genders and might be activated by events. I simply lack to ability to creating anything similar.

So, sorry. There is nothing I can do.

Is it possible to have the male and female bodies tied to gender like Animated Synthetics Portraits Expanded: Reborn? As it is now I've seen males with female bodies, female with male, and creation of new synth leaders not having a gender/being tied to the specific gender model (as silly as confining gender to a robot is)

I am not entirely sure what you mean. In "common/species_classes/android_species_classes.txt" in the lines 57 & 168 I have simply called it "android" for regular robot races and machine empires.

Would you happen to have the name of the android portrait file in the 00_species_classes.txt file? Just tryna make it work with that machine empire expanded mod, need to be able to use the robotic trait and all that. Essentially just moving this portrait into the robotic section lol

@Tuor the Tribble Now that is embarrissing. I know exactly what the problem is. I totally forgot to adjust the files according to the new dlc. I had it solved in a few minutes. But currently there are some servers issues. Now I am just waiting that I can log in properly to update the mod on Steam.

It's currently conflicting with the SE-Humanoid mod, causing the Robotic portrait to appear blank.

I actually fixed it by temporarily activating the dynamic UI overhaul mod. I tend not to use it, because it doesn't support my resolution, but it did give me a window big enough to show all the portraits with a scroll bar to find these perfect ones!

@Ratzfatz-Ger I think it will work with the achievement, if one of the preset race are being replaced by your android race. But as I don't know about codding, you would be more accurate about this. Thank you for the response^^

@Sharasharang I am sorry but I think there is nothing I can do. Normaly only mods that touch the balance should be affected but Stellaris is rather strict in that case. Anything that also slightly touches the species-types disables the achievements. My mod doesn't even add any new phenotypes, only a new portrait to an already existing category. As far as I know this goes back to earlier version, where species with the same portrait get relationship bonus. In that case, even adding a new portrait, touches the balance of the game even if the mechanic is now not longer the case.

Just tried it with 2.8.1 [stellaris_test] -- SE Humans is still messed up (lol leader clothes) but the awesome android portrait is back. Thank you!

@doctornull I finally did it. I think I solved the problem. "Androids Expanded" and "SE - Humanoid" should now work together. Appearantly "SE - Humanoid" replaced several so-called "entity"-files in the base game (no idea how they work). So I copied them and added them to the files so that the mod has all it need in place. Testing so far was successfull. Please, try it out and tell me how it works.

@Stranger & @doctornull Are you using "SE - Human - Modest" or any other version of it? I just took a look into it and "SE - Human - Modest" should work fine. It doesn't not have a file that conflicts with my mod (which could only be /common/species_classes/00_species_classes.txt). That was the easy part. The other problem is that "SE - Human - Modest", right now, is in a rather messed up state (no offense to the creator). Female ruler creation is completely bugged. No idea why. I myself used it before but just for a very small time and than all was fine. It looks now like patch 2.8 was a bit more invasive than expected.

Sadly it's no longer compatible with Humans SE. The box shows up, but the portrait is invisible. Works fine if I don't have SE enabled.
