How's RL treating you?

RL first mate, I hope you do get time, but you have to look after yourself as a priority. It's not like we pay you after all!

Any news on making this work?
Viper  [author] 12 Aug, 2021 @ 10:06pm
yea the water mod no longer allows vent to depressurize under water and the thrusters used to release from the tanks no longer working not sure exactly why. Real life has got me real busy so this may take a bit for me to get working again.

Can confirm, mod doesn't work. Hopefully an update is in site?

Unfortunately, it doesn't work anymore.

setting the collectors to depressurize means they suck up any air in the enviroment
you need to set them to pressurize to stop them from filling your tanks, they are just repurposed air vents.

Update, large grid setup also does not work.

I'm having the opposite problem to skittlz, I cannot get the tank to drain no matter what. I have 6 small ballast tanks setup with 10 collectors and 3 release valves, but even with stockpile off on the tanks, depressurize on on the collectors, and the valves pointing up (I've also tried pointing down and pointing back), the tanks will not drain. I've tried on both creative and survival, and nothing will drain the tanks.

i even had the issue with the example blueprint. It's probably another mod interacting. I'll have to spend some time taking mods out to figure out where the clash is.
Antharann Fireblade  [author] 29 Sep, 2020 @ 12:13am
i usually set them up so that they point down but are in a group and only enable them when i want to drain the tanks.
Viper  [author] 28 Sep, 2020 @ 6:09pm
@skittz
hmm i usally orient them pointing up so all i have to do is hit c to drain and dive witch just feels natural to me. also make sure that system is seperate from any other system on the sub.
if your still haveing problems send me a world save so i can see whats going on. I've been using them since i made them and have not had that problems yet.

Seems like if a release valve is attached, it drains the tanks no matter what, whether i am "firing" them or not, the only way i can fill the ballast tanks is to not have any release valves at all....am I missing something?

so basically a mod for draining tanks so you don't need thrusters to dive
neat.
(spend 30+ minutes looking for something like this)
Viper  [author] 1 Sep, 2020 @ 12:06am
should be 0 damage already and flame yea i will shortly just left that in until i'm sure it's all good. i'll double check damage also.
Корсар 30 Aug, 2020 @ 7:58pm
Will it be possible to completely remove the damage and flame color of thrusters?
Viper  [author] 30 Aug, 2020 @ 1:48pm
Also keep in mind weight plays into balancing out the sub. you may also require a leveling script once under the water to keep it straight. whips aliagnment script works perfect for this.
Viper  [author] 30 Aug, 2020 @ 1:03pm
ok just make sure to keep your ballast system seperate from the main conveyor system on your sub. also using the autolcd script to display the tanks fill on a lcd will make it easier as well
SourceStick 30 Aug, 2020 @ 11:17am
ah ok. i hope i understand now what you mean. gonna try and see in game how it works
Viper  [author] 30 Aug, 2020 @ 10:54am
I may also try to throw together a example ship to better show how it works with the water mod.
Viper  [author] 30 Aug, 2020 @ 10:45am
Basicly it can fill the tanks quickly and empty them quickly to dive and not dive your sub without thrusters.
SourceStick 30 Aug, 2020 @ 3:06am
Hi. I'm still a little bit confused by how to make submarines. How does his help?
