I was just looking to have a mod to allow me to wear capes with Marine Armor & allow reasonable doubling up of some mod items like a Ranged shield belt & Ammo bag or Marine Armor + shoulder plates + cape as I use RPG style inventory bur stuff in clearly seperated slots share the same slot or layer if that makes any sense & my Royals are a Royal pain in the arse without their capes even in prestige armors for some reason.

still tinkering, but having spent a bit more time looking through the changes (since ive done alot messing with apparel rendering in other mods), im not sure if its Really nessecary anymore....its hard to say, i dont really get How the rendering controls position/layer in 1.5

guess its time for a ground up remake of the mod for 1.5 sadly cause I LOVE this mod & its sucks when devs do crap that really mucks with the good mods

im afraid a 1.5 version of this mod is looking Extremely unlikely, just no way to do it with the changes to pawnrendering in 1.5

What an impressive mod. Shame about the 1.5 unlikely for a long time, but I might pick this up for a 1.4 playthrough. Was always annoyed I had to choose between very expensive armor or low protection clothing for royal pawns.

unlikely for a long time, the pawn rendering systems been totally overhauled in 1.5, so a total rewrite is required, if its even possible to do, it may be beyond me

This mod worked perfectly fine for quite a long time, until I added more mods into the mix, now I am getting frequent crashes with the logs giving errors regarding to this mod. I'm not entirely sure which mod could be the culprit, but the one I suspect would be Dubs Apparel Tweaks, as that is one of the mods I added and the crashing started to occur. I cannot confirm this though.

Also seem to be crashing with this showing as the last error in the player log although I have a very large mod-list as well so almost definitely is a conflict and I think it might be something to do with a hats with hair mod I have but need to test more.

Just a heads-up guys, on my 300+ modded playthrough, I was getting very frequent and random crashes until I uninstalled this mod. I'm guessing it's incompatible with something else other than CE, which I do not use.

Hey, actually found a fix.
@Jabba
In RIMMSqol you have to check the "Shell Rendered As Clothing" on apparel that you want to be rendered under a cape / ShellEquipment layer
I imagin you'd have to do it for every Shell type apparel, which is pretty tedious

Same thing here, rendering over shell for some reason doesn't work. I'll try making a more detailed bug report soon

I tried to use RIMMSQL to change the capes' layer to ShellEquipment, but the cape still renders below the outer layer..

I did a quick test and set a random helmet to be on the OverheadEquipment and it did render above the Overhead layer, but I haven't got a clue why the shell one isn't working.. Any suggestions?

i have a feeling what your seeing is them wearing a vanilla duster, and an Overshell duster, that can be worn on top of armour etc, as im unable to make them equip two of either, but a pawn can equip one of each

as for the translations, its not that its Not working, its that theres no translations for that added apparel layer def, because sadly i only speak english- and poorly at that.
it should be Totally safe to add or remove midgame

this is bugging.
it ignores translations, so i have colonists wearing multiple dusters at the same time, some layered "außen" and some layered "outer slot".
ffs i hope this is safely removable midgame.....................

ive been attempting to, but hit an impasse, i cant figure out how to target some of the new compiler generated methods in 1.4 that deal with rendering the pawns heads, the way i had been using in 1.3 seems unable to detect the new methods, ive been unable to ascertain why

yeah....its not a fun method to mess with, Very heavily patched by a multitude of mods, and trying to do so in a way that doesnt break other mods is awkward to say the least....but Hopefully this time the changes are lesser than the 1.3 update....

while it Does add extra layers, it doesnt add them to apparel, as noted in the description, this is a modders resource

Should now have got it working pretty much perfectly in vanilla, however HAR still breaks the headgear, been in touch with erdelf about it and hopefully it can be resolved

not a bother, had ALot of RL shit to deal with over the past 6 months or so, partner was in hospital over xmas, for 2 months, nearly died, on the mend now thankfully, but im a little behind/outta the loop in the modding scene
