Thank you. The constant tool tips in the middle of the screen were driving me crazy.

Doubling "Top Left" option. Is that possible? Tryed editing widgetanchor to top|left but that didn't help. Any advice is appriciated.

i usually like the tooltip,,,but at the moment it bugged out and is showing constantly in my newest game so i guess i have to give it a try and thanks :) for having that option

Placing the tooltip in the top left would be a nice alternative!

I also tried to use it but quickly got annoyed af due to it blocking important info.
Agreed on centre screen bottom, dunno why blocking battle stats would be a problem but maybe that will make me annoyed too eventualyl :D. Maybe a bit above it then?

Sorry for the delay in getting an alternative position out, been pretty busy lately. I want to find a good middle ground I'm happy with. Will be trying out these position suggestions too!

Bottom right/center, just to the left of the time line.

I tried to use it and got pissed in a few hours. In the bottom right corner, there is a very important information I am always following (wars). Is it possible to make those tooltips manually controlled with a middle mouse button? Right now it is hardly better then original variant...

Still working on what I think would be the best alternative to not cover the war icons and such. But in the meantime if anyone would rather just disable these terrain tooltips outright I have an alternative here .

I put the location at position = { -700 -250 } which puts it dead center in your width, but high enough to clear the battle screen.

Actually top left is no go- because of character sheet fills that. I tried... :/

Well the bottom right wouldn't be bad, if it was raised above the war icons. It's just covering that icon, and the top where people most likely have the mod that brings back alert icons, are two very bad locations.

Could also try what @Andi422 suggested, and make it button press active. Have the Tooltips hidden till you hold a button. Maybe even make it configerable to both change the button and change if it's hold or toggled in the decision menu. If that's possible to be modded.

Gonna try some other locations and see what works best, like some that Dizzy mentioned. Top left does seem like a good spot but I kinda wanted one more open area on the UI. Will give it a try though and see for sure.

@Zeeking64 Got to agree. If there was a way in game to change the location, this would be better, but it covering the war icons was making it very hard for me to play for a while and had to constantly take the mouse off onto the UI so I could see what % of the war I was at.

Is it possible to create a mod that will make appear toolstips only when holding the shift-key? Tooltips in this game make my eyes bleed :(

This is great- I would just suggest a bottom center placement if possible as there are still buttons beneath. However, this is better than vanilla already!
