Can we have an option to adjust the light kevlar health modifier to -1, so that medium kevlar can be configured to grant no health bonus instead, to balance it to a vanilla difficulty standard?

I love the idea of having a light version with a mobility and doge bonus instead of HP. Perfect for those early missions, especially the ones with aggressive timers.

Starting campaigns ····the first mission is a very hard mission and Need luck ,and we can‘t have these good stuff on first 4··· unfortunately

@LightenedDark Both Steam and AML don't check DLC dependencies (Unless its WotC) IIRC, so be sure to pay-attention to mod requirements.

Uh, no actually. I didn't want the Legacy Op, Skirmish, Challenges, maps photoboth or soundtrack ... but now I see there was some armor in that DLC. That's odd that AML and steam didn't warn me.

I got invisible dudes. Deleting the second "Heavy" in each line now only makes the body invisible. It's playable, I guess. I also have the default missing img: text. I already checked integrity. Thoughts?

@PreConceptor I only added the utility slot option for Heavy Kevlar Armor, so yeah, you'd have to use the Armor & Vest Config mod.

And mods would have to specifically add their cosmetics to the light and heavy armors, so probably not. Though you might be able to add the cosmetics yourself w/ some .ini work.

Seconded on medium armor getting utility slot, it fits better with the armor class theme (mobility vs utility vs defense of light/medium/heavy).

Is Armor & Vest Config needed to add a utility slot to the armor and change HP bonuses or can it be done in this mod's config? Also, do mod-added cosmetics that work on vanilla kevlar work on the light and heavy armors?

It's new and i've spotted this recently using a different mod. So, I know it's not your's that is the issue. Just wondering how to solve this. The mod "Modular x-Com Hero Suits" does mesh collisions when i have light or heavy equipped and try to change just the torso. It then throws all it's parts into the fray. I've tried using invisible parts mods and can't seem to get that to solve it. Though it doesn't give me the option to select them. Just a heads up. Not a game changer or breaks the game. Just a lot of mesh overlap. Wondering if there's an easy fix I can possibly do? It's just a cosmetic mod. So if it can't be helped. I'll just remove. But makes the shinobis look more acceptable with the hero style armor. But that's just me, Other than that. Love the mod, works like a charm.

@Snow Thanks for confirming compatibility, that's good to hear. As for higher tier variants, they already exist in the in form of the Spider/Wraith and EXO/WAR Suits, which have their own investment costs and advantages/disadvantages.

Also, you should be able to use the Armor & Vest Config mod I linked in the description to customise the armors to your liking. Thanks for the feedback!

Can confirm for anyone, this plays absolutely fine with both RPGO and gains the bonuses from Iridar's Armor Overhaul.

Love the sort of armor variety this gives. Lets you specialize units or allow them to make up for faults in their builds or stats (if using Not Created Equal).

Also, a point of consideration for adding utility slots to heavy armors: The armor might be heavier, but it also wraps around the user better to allow for a more balanced weight distribution. There's a whole area of study and product development that allows people to carry more just by distributing the weight of what they're carrying. Personally, I'm fine without it, and think the medium should get the utility slot, so you choose between slot, speed/dodge, or armor.

Question: Any plan to bring these to higher tier armors?

Hi again, could you make a non wotc version, so be compatible with long war? Could use the "old world hero" as heavy armor.
Also, can i replace the +1 HP of medium kevlar with the extra utility slot from heavy kevlar? A utility slot feel more balanced than extra HP.

@Zoinho1 I'll probably make another mod at point that removes the TLP items. And you change the appearance of the Heavy Kevlar Armor through this mod's "XComContent.ini" file, just gotta know the Archetype Names for the parts you want.

Yes, the invisible torsos are fixed but couldn't you hide those "improvised field armors" since they don't grand any bonus?
Also, would you do similar work with others cosmetics/amors mods? As, EW Covert Operatives Outfits , Classic XCOM Armor , Chosen Armor

Chimera Classes was the reason why TLP armors were available to every soldier, kinda make sense since disable the normal classes.
But i tried with only your mod and still have a TLP armor with invisible body and no stat boost to soldiers, this time was only one TLP armor showing (one that match the soldier class, ranger - TLP ranger armor) instead with Chimera Classes where i could put any TLP armor to any soldier.

@Zoinho1 Looking through it, I'm not sure what could be causing the issue here. Only suggestion I can recommend atm is to quickly start a new save w/ your Chimera mods off to see if they're the root of the problem.

@Zoinho1 You might have a mod that's overriding the stats of the default armors, not sure what could be causing the invisible Torsos though. Maybe drop a modlist using PasteBin?

Is not compatible with Chimera class? All soldiers (minus rookies) can use any tlp armors.
I can equip any tlp armor on any soldier, like the faction heroes and i can give their armors to other classes, but these armors don't grant bonus and make the soldier body invisible.
Your heavy and light armor are on the bottom of the armor list and work as intended.

I do, but It's ok I'm pretty happy with the mod even without the light kevlar, I guess I could just duplicate an armor and change it's value in order to replicate the light kevlar but I'm fine, one armor early doesn't seem much but it's pretty important even if it cost 2 in speed.
Do note that I play LWOTC with multiple mods, none that affect armor aside your mod so maybe people that play Vanilla LWOTC will get the light kevlar. So I thank you for the mod.

Tested with LWOTC: +1 HP bonus for Kevlar work, heavy kevlar is here, the light version is not here, but hey it's better than not working at all.

I tried it just now and only the heavy kevlar was immediately available, but it didn't show up, as in the character body became invisible.
Is this cause I need to start a new game for it to work or am I missing something ?

Just released an update that gives Light Kevlar Armor +15 Dodge, to make it a tad more appealing, and the option to give Heavy Kevlar Armor an additional Utility Slot through the .ini file.

Does anyone know how nice this plays with Iridar's Defensive Item Overhaul? I'm cool with only the medium armor getting the extra slot from the upgrade (since that's in line with the other tiers), but will the changes to medium kevlar from this overwrite or conflict with that mod's changes?
