This isn't historically accurate. Historically Wu was yellow. There's strong evidence for it from Sun Quan's Sanguozhi biography, and the Zizhi Tongjian (ZZTJ) which states "Wu changed reign title to Huangwu, also following the evolution of Five Elements, succeeding the Han as the Earth Element."

According to Dr. Yang of Denison University, Wu using green (and thus a wood phase) is a modern folk theory that has no support in any historical sources.

Wei was also using yellow for the same reason as Wu, as they succeeded Han's red and fire phase. There is textual evidence for Wei using majority yellow and the earth element from the era names; Cao Pi's very first era name was 黃初 (yellow beginning).

Shu-Han most likely used predominantly red, because they claimed continuation of the Han, but there are no historical texts which state which colour and element they used unlike with Wu and Wei.

@细花&肥欣 曹魏就是以黄色为正色的，曹丕的文帝纪里面一大半的篇幅都在说曹家可土可黄了，第一个年号是黄初。

染料挺贵的，那时候小兵穿的衣服。。。应该大多都材料本身的天然色吧

啊，总算找到这种mod了，就说最近进游戏玩感觉不对劲，后面才发现是御三家颜色改了

三国志玩惯了，感觉还是按光荣的颜色玩更顺眼

I guess as an extra suggestion, maybe the curls in the border could be changed from black to white to help them pop out against the dark red border? I'm not so sure how that would look, and I'll leave that up to you :) Thanks again!

@E_L_2 Yes, you are right. The yellow background is a bit too dark. I'll try to make it brighter.

@Toshin I like this mod a lot - great job! I have one small request though: would it be possible to make the yellow background of Liu Bei's flag slightly brighter (almost like the yellow of the Cao character on Cao Cao's flag)? I think it would help the flag stand out more and still look great. It would also mesh well with the other nonmodded flags as those colors seem to have generally become brighter.

我自己调好了，就是直接在你的mod里改的 里面除了孙坚不是还有孙策和孙权吗，我把他们的rgb复制成你调好的孙坚的 进游戏就好了

@远坂凛 调了半天，好像衣甲调色的DB不对孙策起作用，可能又是游戏自带的BUG

Oh, thanks! And yeah I should do that - I usually do for my mods but as my PC's been getting older I've been more worried about how the screenshots look. I'll snap some to update my description though and see if that helps.

@sEcOnDbOuToFiNsAnItY You've done a great job making your MODs! And many thanks for sharing the DBs of colours.
I suggest that you add some screenshots of in-game modded flags and uniforms in your MOD pages. Some players would've clicked in your MODs without subscribing because they didn't know that your MODs work so well.
And I'll add some links of your MODs in my description.

Clearly I have a marketing flaw given my pre-patch recolours aren't getting a fraction of the traffic. ;)

Nice work! I might throw up the exported DBs of the old faction colours for you to use (I nabbed them from the old game version but this'll save you reverting versions just to get them). Oh and if you're feeling lazy feel free to swipe my Liu Biao one to merge into yours if you want - or even the Sun Jian one if you end up liking it more.

I hope you expand this mod to all other major factions. there are too many blue and Yellow factions and the colors are too bright. love this mod
