1, Go to the mod directory. Should be D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\281990\2228244908\gfx\portraits\portraits if you're on windows.
2. Open the .txt file (08 evil portraits or smth like that)
3. On line 54 (using on Notepad++) replace xevil with human and save
4. The portraits will now overwrite (mostly) one of the default human ones in the "Human" category
I've found that this 75% works? Some stock portraits slip through but most of them should be the EvilxHumans ones. Lemme know if this works for anyone else.
I also managed to make them playable for the AI, but for that you'd have to use the humanoid version here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2235507833
Using this mod would resolve this issue and put the portraits under the humanoid phenotype.
It can, however, conflict with other mods that add portraits into the humanoids category, because then they occupy a certain slot, that, if you install another mod that adds humanoid portraits on the same slot, will get overwritten, or vice versa depending on your load order.
If there is an incompatibility issue with the current version of the game, could you briefly describe it to me?
That'd be nice, because then I would know exactly which errors I would have to fix.
I just tried it out and couldn't find any errors myself. D:
If it is only about the version of the mod, then I can reassure you that it works the same as it did before the update.
The Paradox Launcher sees the mod as incompatible solely because I uploaded it in a previous game version and don't keep downloading and re-uploading it after every update without making any changes to it.
Anyway, thanks for the great mod
The reason for this happening is that I put them under it's own phenotype.
I also managed to make them playable for the AI, but for that you'd have to use the humanoid version here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2235507833
This resolves that issue and puts them under the humanoid phenotype.
It can, however, conflict with other mods that add portraits into the humanoids category.
The problem here is that you need to specify where on the row you want your portrait to appear.
If it, let's say, occupies the same slot in the humanoid category like another portrait mod you've installed, it'll overwrite that one, or get overwritten by it (depending on your load order).
So if you want them to appear as an AI empire, you can always go for the humanoid version of the mod. Just be aware that there might be incompatibilities.
If it doesn't update in your playlist i'd try to unsub and then resub to redownload it.
It seems that the hair selection has been replaced by the new mask selection from the new toxoid portraits. D:
The mask was connected to the hair and the hair was well... part of the hair selection.
That's why neither the hair nor the mask shows up. D:
I'll look into it though, and try to find a work around.
please fix
Mind telling me what exactly doesn't work?
I just tested it and couldn't find any issues. D:
Just curious

1) download the mod from any of the sites on the net that have uploaded it.
2) put it into your \Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\mod folder
3) within that folder, under "EvilExHumans\localisation", just add or change the txt files as you please.
I just kinda stopped modding for now. It can be pretty time consuming depending on what you want to make and before you know it, you've spent your whole time off work for it instead of doing anything else. That's ok though if you're in the mood for it but at the moment I'm not.
So I'll update those mods in the case of when any patches break them but as long as they remain playable, I won't add or change anything for the moment.
I mean, aside from not being able to put them in as an AI empire, which didn't work in the first place unfortunately. D:
