the easiest way to achive your goals is to just alter the mod files for yourself.
open the following file with any texteditor and change the values to your liking.

Do you have a version or able to make one that doesnt make raw mining turrets super efficient? There is a reason they offer R-mining variants, which are supposed to be the most efficient, and why raw mining / salvage lasers aren't that efficient, as your trading off getting immediate refined ores for lower efficiency, vs getting much higher efficiency with R-miners.

Looking for something that maybe allows raw mining to get up to around 35% or so max, and R miners to get up to around 95%

You only have to make sure that the mod is loaded in your galaxy. Avorion remembers which mods should be loaded for each galaxy - the ones that were active when the galaxy was created. But you can easily change this afterwards by selecting the field "Overwrite galaxy mods" in the galaxy selection in the upper right corner and then start the galaxy.

Hey, I'm reasonably new to Avorion and Modding via workshop.

I have subscribed to this mod, and activated it in the mod menu ingame, however i do not see any changes to the gather ability nor the efficiency rating in stats, i've started a fresh game and have no other mods....is there anything else i need to do to get it working?

Somehow there appears to be some issue with the 2.3 patch on dedicated servers. Our rental server won't start up properly and in the logfiles it states: "2239462543 is problematic: Mod 'optimized Mining Turrets'()s base requirement (1.0 to 2.2.*) doesn't match version 2.3 of the game."

Hope this is fixable without too much work involved for you. :o

I just tried it on my end and all runs fine. No active stations or ships are attacked. I don't see why my mod would cause that either. I change completely different functions in other files.

I can imagine that your turret was aiming at a piece of wreckage behind the station and it was just in the way. That can happen once in a while.

I didn't say anything about Legendary turrets. I'm saying that with the mod active the salvaging turrets that I made at a turret factory don't understand that an active station isn't wreckage. They target stuff that isn't "dead".

I'm sorry but my mod only changes the range, damage and efficiency and only for normal mining and salvaging turrets. Legendary turrets are not changed because it is not possible via mod.

Not sure if this is intended or not, but I have an issue with the new salvaging turrets created not distinguishing between wreckage and active ships. I've gotten in trouble with a couple factions for the turrets salvaging ships that are still "alive" but them ignoring wreckage.

The mod changes the calculation of every new generated turret:
1 - works for the starting turret as well
2 - it increases all three values: range, efficiency and dps depending on tech-level
3 - no - generated turrets will have there stats permanently

Alright so I'm still pretty "new" to the game and I have several questions
1- Do the starting ship turret benefit from this mod when you start a new game? Or it only starts working after you buy one from a equipment dock?
2- Does it increase the yield from the ore, or only the mining speed and range?
3- Disabling the mod disables all the turret upgrades or the generated turrets will have those stats permanently, even if you delete the mod?

Im having problems with this mod too now that u somehow changed something, that broken stations that show stats of turrets and upgrades. Maybe I should disable this until the problem is solved. Sorry :(

The error persists, but now the turrets themselves are all missing their stat blocks in the building menu. Equipment dock have no turrets or items listed in any tab except the sell tab. Do you have a discord or something? I could give screenshots then. maybe that would help

I just started a new game with this mod only and can not see an error in console or serverlog. I changed the lines of my script with the last update so I'm not sure which line of code is the problem now. can you post your new error message please?

I have some mods on and no problems. Also my files only make minor changes which should not conflict with anything. Can you start a file check of your game installation?
