and i know im a bit late with this but if you do upspecial but then aim it fully down you do an explosive jump thats how you recover and while aiming with the gun you can b hop

Very good! Only complaint I have is that he lacks a recovery move, his double jump is only really good at moving horizontally.

Will say that some B-Hop mechanic would be cool, No clue how that would be implemented

it would be nice if the hev suits energy could recharge as well. Gordon's practically a glass cannon by this point. i think he needs a bit more of a defensive buff.

id also change the gravity gun where you can choose which object to throw so you wont have to just stand still for a very long time to deploy a mine or throw a saw blade

i love him he is very unique and i want him to be better, i want to main him. the problem is when he has no armor he is as light as a fether and i think its imposible to survive for 5 minutes with a compitent player with that ammount, his weapons are kinda weak, i blew someone up with the c4 when they were 100% and they managed to survive that, same for up heavy, the seems to have no speacil strong move, so id make him a bit more heavier without armor, like a regular light class, and make his heavies and some of his speacils more powerful

I love what you're doing with the character. He really seems to struggle with securing kills, though, as none of his moves are effective kill moves. His up smash struggles to kill at 130 percent and his f-smash barely does knockback. I'm a big fan of the project, and I hope this feedback helps some. Keep up the good work!

A minor decrease in move speed and jump height, with a minuscule increase in weight to keep it from being an obvious choice for the Freeman player to always keep on the opponent. However, the weight change is negligible, the affected player surviving for just a few percent (5?) more, and isn't outweighed by the agility debuffing effects. The scientist would also deal damage over time. A maximum of 40% might seem like a lot, but that's over forty seconds, and the amount of time the scientist stays on someone decreases the more they move around, though the amount of time will always be at least eight seconds.

I really love this character, and other than the scientist, he's probably my favorite workshop character that exists outside of Rivals.

I've seen scientist appear when using the down special. The appearance seems to be luck based, but whenever he appears I feel less like I found a cool Easter egg and instead feel like I just drew the short straw, as he appears to have zero offensive application. Negligible damage, minimal kb, no special effects, and on top of all that he seems to only appear after cycling through the entire list of items to pull, making him seem even less worth it. The only combat advantage you earn by using him is the admittedly hilarious bloodcurdling scream he lets out which could possibly disorient your opponent, which hardly counts. I would try to buff him by moving the scientist a bit back to between the health pack and mine, maybe between mine and saw, removing the rng, and giving him some more offensive capabilities. I was thinking an effect halfway between the metal box from smash bros and olimar's pikmin.

The shotgun's alright. The strongs are mostly ok (except U-Strong, it just doesn't have any situation where it is viable due to low speed) but apart from the durability issue, i know that in half life you aren't supposed to be using the crowbar 24/7 but his jab and tilts just don't have enough range to be effective. Still, I can see how much effort you're putting into this guy, and I have to applaud you for it.

thanks for the crtique, I do agree on the dps issue, since he has many long range weapons i do think its difficult to balance him, I can likely change his shotgun for example to have much more damage and knock back at close range

That being said, good effort. I should also probably mention just how loose but confined it feels to play him. Really slippery, and the attacks have no "ommph".

I just want to comment on how gordon insta-dies when near depletion and the NECESSITY of parrying to live beyond 80%. Gordon just is slow and squishy. His dps isn't even that great. Replace the healing taunt with the HEV charger. maybe use the healing gimmick on the parry.

I think when you're using the smg, the reload/cancel buttons (C and S iirc) should be switched. I've been KO'd one too many times because I tried dodging attacks only to watch as Gordon reloads...

i feel like dash attack could be like, the hivehand maybe? like he runs in and punches with the big hivehand arm, or he grabs and throws you with the hivehand because of how bulky it is
