does this make the game harder or easier?

-Unofficial Patch is replaced by its submods until it gets fixed

Was it ever fixed or is it still better to use separate mods?

FUCK WRONG ENHANCED MOD
AVE 22 Feb, 2023 @ 3:59pm
Does the extra slot for gun batteries affect strongholds of the samurai? I didn't see any changes on the maps with the towers.
DeeDrick 17 Nov, 2022 @ 7:42pm
Not sure if this is good or bad cai, but after annihilating the daimyo and his general, the Ito were hurting for years and have not attacked me since. I'm now forcing their army to sally out to fight me from their last settlement and they got double the men haha! Time to show them why Shimazu samurai are the best (:
DeeDrick 17 Nov, 2022 @ 11:56am
Bruh, the daimyo dismounted and started climbing the walls! Im ded XD
DeeDrick 17 Nov, 2022 @ 11:08am
Also, I burnt one gate and now they're all open? Is that how it is in vanilla?
DeeDrick 17 Nov, 2022 @ 11:06am
It's actually a half stack but still pretty cool that they consolidated their forces, and I think they only chose to attack because of the broken gate
DeeDrick 17 Nov, 2022 @ 10:15am
incredible ai! I love many of the changes brought by this mod + units module, but it really blew my mind that the turn after taking Osumi (as the Shimazu), I get hit with a full stack Ito army! I spent many turns before wondering where the Ito army was (they're usually by the border) and ig they were building a secret army haha

Weird how they chose to attack same turn. Are they that confident that their full stack could beat my full stack (with garrison)? I think ima tear em to shreds and pummel their daimyo to deaf
diessa 30 Oct, 2022 @ 4:26pm
Thanks for this mod. It's a good combination of things without being too much or too buggy, which afflicts a lot of Shogun mods. I've been playing around with combining it with the Expanded Map, specifically the Wiid update. I imagine the diplomacy will be buggy, but I'm curious to see how it goes overall. Anyway, thanks for this mod!
Baracko Barmer 28 Oct, 2022 @ 7:32am
Hey, thanks for this! I was wondering about the installation. Do I just click "subscribe" here or do I have to download and activate each submod individually?
nobubblegums  [author] 25 Oct, 2022 @ 7:36am
Only Sengoku. I also have FotS Enhanced, and you can find smaller mods for FoTS and RoTS in my workshop
Kosmonawt 19 Oct, 2022 @ 2:18am
Quick Question: Is this only meant for the Sengoku Campaign, or is it for all three campaigns (Sengoku and Rise/Fall of the Samurai)?
Matthew39 18 Oct, 2022 @ 12:48am
Thank you for your reply! Good to hear, I’m adding mostly bugfixes and QoL on top of your mod, but there are so many things that haven’t been fixed by CA to this day and among them are even some things that directly affect balance, so I have to be careful to not mess any of it while using even the lightest of overhauls.

Thanks again!
nobubblegums  [author] 17 Oct, 2022 @ 4:18pm
Hi, thank you for kind remarks. It's been quite sometime but I believe I made only a few stat changes, mostly fixing obvious errors. Even the units module changes very little, so that mod should be safe to be used with S2E
Matthew39 16 Oct, 2022 @ 1:21pm
Hi, firstly thanks for your mod! I did a test Oda campaign run with it and my mod collection and the whole game felt so much better without AI cheating or brain-dead moments.

I just wanted to ask if your mod changes some unit stats? I noticed that you fixed the Hattori and Tokugawa Kisho Ninjas so that they don't suck, which I really like since I don't have to use dedicated fix for it. But anyway, I'm asking since i wanted to add "Sengoku Stationary Artillery Fix" to my collection, a mod which changes accuracy of Fire Projecting Mangonels and European Cannons, but I'm not sure if It won't mess up any balance of your mod.

The mod I'm talking about:

To all, I noticed that the links in the credits&thanks section are removed, idk maybe Steam started to use some auto-link remover. In any case, all the mentioned mods can be found on twcenter .
To the spammer, while I don't work on Shogun 2 anymore, I still appreciate feedback and bug reports. I will not, however, allow the mod to be smeared by false comments while it works fine for hundreds of people. Go ahead and spam all my mods, I'm here ALL DAY.
nobubblegums  [author] 14 Jul, 2022 @ 4:08pm
It doesn't, stop spreading nonsense
Cryptic 14 Jul, 2022 @ 3:02pm
So this gives a bug with archers. You deleted my comment though. Thanks
rajwarrior 11 Apr, 2022 @ 3:58pm
Started a game with this mod. Really like it so far. Hit Realm Divide and the counter seems to be stuck at -30 and no longer going down. Has anyone else experienced an issue like this? Only have this mod and soundfix for arrows installed.
not_first 18 Nov, 2021 @ 5:58pm
I like the mod, but why AI is so weak? WH feels like easy.
Rome 7 Nov, 2021 @ 2:47pm
I'll live with it for now, thank you for being so helpful and writing all these details. Have a great day!
nobubblegums  [author] 7 Nov, 2021 @ 11:23am
I tested it now (with Chosakabe like in the screenshots) and haven't had any issues. Some mods (mostly those not on the Workshop) have files that don't show up in the mod manager, so even if you uncheck them they can still have files running in the background and possibly conflict with S2E, you have to manually delete them to be safe. When unmodded, your data folder should only have the following .pack files: bp_orig, boot, data, models, models2, movies, shaders, movies2, sound, terrain, manifest, local_en and movies_fots, data_fots with FotS expansion, you can delete everything else. If that still doesn't fix the issue, I think a clean re-install - unsubscribing from all mods, uninstalling on Steam, deleting the game folder if it still remains, and deleting the whole Shogun2 folder under AppData - is sadly the only remaining option. Hope this helps.
Rome 5 Nov, 2021 @ 3:55am
Welp, it helped with SOME panels, but others are still corrupted. Guess it's back to square one.
Rome 5 Nov, 2021 @ 3:42am
I deleted these files and am now re-validating the game's files (I assumed this needs to be done after deletion).

I tried unsubscribing to the mod and test it but the problem did not occur, but I can't possibly stand going back to vanilla!! This mod makes the game so much better while still keeping differences to a minimum and not completely altering the experience, which means most mechanics don't have to be re-learned.
nobubblegums  [author] 4 Nov, 2021 @ 6:26pm
Hi Rome, thanks a lot for your kind words and detailed feedback. I didn't encounter that issue with S2E, but I've seen that happen when UI keys (usually buildings) are improperly assigned, I will reinstall S2 and take a look at that at this weekend. In the meantime, have you tried removing the cache? You can find it under C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Shogun2 deleting fx_cache, ui_cache and scripts may help.
Rome 3 Nov, 2021 @ 3:33am
Check these images to see what it looks like.

After turning off/unsubscribing some of the other mods I have, this mod is the most probable source of this bug. How do I fix this?
Rome 2 Nov, 2021 @ 11:27am
This is such an awesome mod, thank you! A well-deserved thumbs-up and award had been granted.
I wonder if it's the issue, because I don't have tons of mods and this one is fairly comprehensive - my UI is clipping for some UI panels, such as several (but not all) building descriptions. The text just sticks to the top of the screen and the semi-transparent background is gone, making most buildings descriptions and effects hard to read. Units are maybe unaffected, but I haven't tested them all, only Chokosabe units so far.

I'm trying to debug myself now but i'm pretty inefficient at it lol
Lunsen402 13 Jul, 2021 @ 6:17am
where just as plesently suprised
nobubblegums  [author] 13 Jul, 2021 @ 4:55am
Wow, I really didn't expect it to work, glad to hear that. Have fun
Lunsen402 13 Jul, 2021 @ 12:45am
tried to remove the user.script file now and it worked. So now we know and thanks for taking the time to ansvare my question. it really helped
Lunsen402 13 Jul, 2021 @ 12:26am
yes it sadly does. when i upgrade my markets and stuff it does remove food from my food counter. sorry to ansvare this late btw. and i will try to delete user script file to see if that helps then. overall though the mod is perfectly playable is literly only this part with the food that has been an issue and it wasn´t like that at first it came around later.
nobubblegums  [author] 12 Jul, 2021 @ 2:35pm
Does the global food counter at the bottom right reflect your issue, for example when you upgrade a market to the second tier, do you see one food deduced from your global food? Sometimes (though I never witnessed this in markets) building descriptions can get broken, but changes still apply as intended. And also just to be sure, you don't use any other mods, and other parts of this mod still work for you, right? Honestly this is the first time I'm hearing something like that. You may try to delete user.script file in AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Shogun2\scripts , it may help if the whole mod is disabled, but if only the market part is broken, this probably won't fix it.
Lunsen402 11 Jul, 2021 @ 6:50am
just a question it seems the whole "markets don´t cost food" thing has been disabled for me, wondered if there was a fix for if anyone knows. tried to redwonload the mod as well as verifying the files.
Seyren 'D' Windsor 26 Jun, 2021 @ 5:55pm
Thank you for the clarification.
nobubblegums  [author] 26 Jun, 2021 @ 8:47am
Hi, it would be best to disable. For RotS you can an AI mod here https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2243596240 , for FotS there's also FotS enhanced
Seyren 'D' Windsor 24 Jun, 2021 @ 8:13pm
Hello there, may I check to see if you need to disable this mod when playing RotS / FotS? Or is this a universal mod?
nobubblegums  [author] 20 Jun, 2021 @ 1:44pm
Thanks a lot guys, it really means a lot. Really glad to see people enjoying it
drahz94 19 Jun, 2021 @ 7:24am
Hey nobubblegums these are great mods for shogun 2, love the idea of vanilla+ kinds of mods. The 4 star thing has to do with the absolute number of likes and not ratio of like/dislike for this situation. Once you pass a number of likes threshold you get 5 stars. It's no way of measure of ratings/quality!

Hope you continue updating/adding to this mod.
Sheph 17 Jun, 2021 @ 9:53pm
Thanks for keeping up this great game! I notice that none of my mods got above 2 start in the Attila forums despite constantly introducing groundbreaking mechanics at each release. Steam seems to base the stars on popularity and downloads.
nobubblegums  [author] 12 May, 2021 @ 9:20am
So anyway, I added seasons to SJ&RotS. May include them into S2E after a few tweaks, you can get it here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2485027921
nobubblegums  [author] 5 May, 2021 @ 4:54am
I'm gonna rant a bit, have 550 subscribers, 66 favorites, 25 ratings - all positive, but somehow the mod used to get 4 out of 5, and I'm just realizing it's now down to 3, which gives a bad impression. There are mods which are literally broken with higher scores. I honestly thought someone was negative bombing, but nope, all ratings are still positive. Have no idea wth is going on, but I'd really appreciate if people who enjoy the mod can rate it. It's not like there are any material benefits for modders, it just motivates me, petty I know.
nobubblegums  [author] 31 Jan, 2021 @ 11:56am
Hi, that's a general issue with modding Shogun 2, hopefully this should fix it:

Sjchamor 30 Jan, 2021 @ 6:01pm
Hi, im having a sound bug with the Ikko Ikki faction, their archers have rifle sound instead of arrow sounds, idk if im the only one or there's a fix already.
horselats 23 Dec, 2020 @ 10:49am
I like where most of these changes are going, but alliances are still too secure for my taste. I changed that as well buffing major clans start position.
nobubblegums  [author] 15 Oct, 2020 @ 4:55pm
While I agree that archers are kinda op in the base game, the changes I made do not make that much worse, at the most they can get an additional volley out before the engagement. I think archers become OP when the AI goes braindead in some situations (like sieges) and just sits there while you're shooting at them, other than that, they rarely play an important role in battles. Anyway, even though they (slightly imho) change the vanilla balance, I included the movement changes since it was a popular request but changes to ranges wasn't really demanded and left out. If you worry about archers getting OP but you don't want to install the second part, you can just use the Minimal Tweaks for Longer Battles with the this part, that'll reduce the ranges without adding any other changes from the second part.
BobDaveson 6 Oct, 2020 @ 4:53am
oh well, but thanks for the quick answer.
nobubblegums  [author] 6 Oct, 2020 @ 4:52am
Yes, currently there's no other way to use Better Ambush Deployment without making Hattori worse in ambushes.
BobDaveson 6 Oct, 2020 @ 4:42am
so does the Hatori fix mean the units dont have the closer start position in normal battles?
nobubblegums  [author] 4 Oct, 2020 @ 12:18am
Hey, it is compatible with Expanded Japan, not compatible with DarthMod or any other total overhauls.
