Hi, I think this deletes the boat crane, and ground tug and trailer at the starter island...

What i do when i start on the starter island is that i just have a boat with a crane and take the small stuff close enough by hand and pull it on to the boat with the crane. (stuff ends up in the water sometimes lol) and if you edit or use one of the mods that increases the size of the spawn boxes you can spawn a small forklift on land and do that as well.

The smaller cargo pieces can be carried by hand using the handles.

Usually you can start with one of the train shed outposts, which allows you to spawn land vehicles and trains. Sawyer North terminal has a train shed workbench as well as ship workbench close by, it's a decent starting location.

If you plan on a career run you can start with a small boat and hunt for lootcrates (instant money and research) and do easy missions until you can afford a better outpost.

My friend and I were very excited to find this mod, exactly what we were looking for. However I am confused how to get started.

How are you supposed to move the cargo onto a ship when there are no land vehicle workbenches? For example, we're at the Sawyer Freight South Terminal and we only have the ships workbench.

I think you forgot to add it to the cargo terminals, such as on line 15 of playlist.xml.

Might work if you refer to fixing old saves.

For new saves the cargo types already have the biome=main tag, as Zizo hinted towards on comments page #2.

I managed the get the items to spawn by adding the biome=main tag to the objects with the tag type=cargo_terminal in playlist.xml. I think you could fix an old save by editing the save's scene.xml with this.

There must have been some undocumented changes with the cargo trailer update 1.13.2 causing this.

Just started a new save, a lot of the locations that used to have items spawn, no longer do like in some old saves I played. Looking at Brainz trainyard, but also some of the airbases too. Have I done something wrong?

I've also run into issues with deliveries to the added delivery locations (I tried Brainz train yard and Cargo Harbor) not recognizing that the cargo was delivered. Sorry I don't know enough to help troubleshoot, but I hope the data point might be helpful in tracking down the issues.

Indeed, started 4-5 new games, couldn't get any cargo to spawn on the creative island. Can't put my finger on what's causing it, since the spawn zones haven't changed.

First of all: great addon,
I've encountered pipe deliveries to Clare Airfield and South Donkk Rail Freight Terminal for which no location markers exist on the map, neither Clarke Airfield nor Spycakes would work either. I also failed to deliver an Item to TT Outpost. It just wouldn't trigger the delivery

Hello @GrumpyOldMan, since the trailers cargo update, all spawn and delivery points for cargo objects that are not containers need to have a biome tag. Adding "biome=main" to all fixes this.

This is due to a new constraint added in the Default Cargo Missions script line 333:

if selected_cargo_package.cargo_type == "container" or
(selected_cargo_package.cargo_type ~= "container" and
cargo_terminal.biome ~= nil and
cargo_terminal.biome == cargo_terminal_object.biome) then
is_type_match = true

I drove to the arctic mainland outpost thats a pickup in your desc. and didnt see anything other than a cargo sign. I must be missing something or its an update change. you said you got ri of cargo zones?

Thanks for letting me know, gonna fix it in the next few days though I think the sign posts are deliberately set as vehicles, otherwise the sign wouldn't flap in the wind, at least last time I checked. Didn't launch SW for roughly 3 months now. Gonna mess with the new missions/pot fishing once released.

The cargo sign at Chris Farm (Arid) has fallen over. Since I can move it around I'd assume you forgot to set it to be a static object.

Btw great addon. I came back after 2 years not playing and happy to see this is still functional and updated :)

Performance issues should be fixed now, fault was with the crab cages, hence I removed the crab cages, buoys and related cargo terminals in the arctic and sawyer island.

Cargo can bug out and cease to spawn, try making a new game and make sure to select the addOn in the options when creating the new game.

Does this mod still work as of the rod update? I'm seeing delivery locations and their posts but i'm not seeing any actual cargo anywhere.

ah, kk. I haven't played stormworks in a while. I didn't know if it was a issue or not so sorry for bringing it up.
Honestly though just knowing that this mod is working again makes me want to boot up the game again, I really did enjoy making boats and helicopters to transport all the different cargoes that this mod offers.

I can recall a brief period where stuff wouldn't spawn properly, was most dominant for the crab cages not spawning at all, then it fixed itself after some update without any doing on my part.

Currently there aren't any spawn issues I'm aware of.

I had large amounts of lag the last time i used this mod because the cargo was partly spawning in the ground, it might have been another mod affecting the spawns though.

It's very physics intense due to the high cargo spawn amount.

Never had any performance issues on my previous rig, which was an i7 4770K from 2013 and a GTX 1080 from 2016. Even less so on my current, more recent rig.
