Well anyway, thanks for the answer
IIRC I have also added safety measures so that specials that spawn can't use their ability ( not sure, been a long time ) do let me know if you have any more question and suggestion.
generally you would want to host your own server with mods to play with friends by letting the ones with the best internet and PC to be the host, select MUTATION > RAGEVIRUS > play with friends > create lobby > set server to LOCAL SERVER
Also if you and your mates have lots of skins and mods, it's also advisable to type "sv_consistency 0" in the console before playing together (all need to type that)
that should help with the issues
I'm also working on a big update for this mutation to be released in the near future so if your problem still persist do let me know again so that I can put a fix in the next update

Firstly, I actually wanted to thank you for bringing Suicide Blitz 2 to my mind, out of curiosity I tried it with RAGE VIRUS and I gotta say I had a blast, it felt like I was really trying to survive zombie apocalypse from a densely populated city.
Secondly, I see you have a keen interest on RAGE VIRUS and after reading your comment I can better understand the issue you're having while playing on custom campaign.
I will update the description with a link for a toned down version, stay tuned.
would be very nice if you could do the alternative versions, since you just have to delete 1-2 things. great mutation, maybe the best (for me) on the workshop.

for the official ones it works pretty good (having a blast playing it - should be a base game mutation) but for most custom ones it depends (obvisiously) on how the map was created (paths, spawn points,ammo, molotov etc.) so my suggestion after some testing :
could you make like 2 alternative version for the custom maps ?
Rage Virus (slow) - like regular RV but the Zds have normal speed as in base game.
Rage Virus (Bodyshot/ Slow) - like above and Zds can be bodyshotted again like in vanilla

@ShowerFlower you can try disabling heavy addons while using this mod (such as dynamic light, heavy sized campaign, high detailed texture, high poly models, etc) and also verify game cache

1) CI spawn rate is the same as before, I just change the CI limit
2) No I didn't, I was thinking of changing the finale CI waves limit but since the TANK will also spawn I decided not to
I tested this mutation on almost every Valve original campaign with advance difficulty and bots AI and so far I'm pretty satisfied with the results, right now I have no intention to tone down the CI in this release.
If you really want a toned down version I can help you with that, just add me , state your business in my profile and we can discuss more about the changes in DM (make sure to remind me so that I won't forget about it).
PS: Yeah I remember playing Suicide Blitz, the finale was already intense even without this mutation, you have some serious balls playing that campaign with RAGE VIRUS haha.

2 quick questions :
have you altered the spawn rates of the CI or just the limit ?
have you changed the limit of CI for waves ?
also, can we get an alternate (a bit toned down) version without the headshot ? because without edits, i constantly run out of ammo, especially on custom maps like suicide blitz2 etc - was almost impossible to beat, even on easy difficulty. - so guess either just make them bodyshot or tone them down a bit. i dont know if this ws just a feelingbut after some map testing i think waves are always a bit too hard.
