if you're willing to go through a couple of minor extra steps and use lua, neurotrauma is a more-than-worthy replacement for STEM.
i'm just trying to find out how people are getting to my unlisted mods because it's happened more than once and i'm just sorta confused. is there a steam collection somewhere?
and the edit you must make sure all players connecting have made the previous edit. Attempting to host a multiplayer game otherwise will result in the mod not loading for other players and said other players getting kicked for missing entities. If you are playing with friends it probably won't be an issue but it'd be safe to say that using this mod with my edit to make it load is not multiplayer compatible. That may change depending on whether or not this wonderful mod author ever updates the mod. Love the mod, makes wearing a hard-suit all the time actually bearable.
Then locate the file called "sounds.xml".
Remove this line: <ambient file="Content/Sounds/Ambient/Ambient1.ogg" />
Your file should look like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<sounds>
<music file="%ModDir%/thunderdome.ogg" type="menu" continuefromprevioustime="true" />
</sounds>
Save your edit and enjoy the mod once again.
it's the closest thing to turning if zombies directly kill you i can implement and it works great in my testing
i'll be doing a total rework of this mod from the ground up sometime in the far future, hopefully with help from the thalassophobia developer
that's being fixed eventually if things go well
brilliant
this may come as a disappointment to you, but
for the sake of my own sanity, my mods are going on an indefinite hiatus
i'll check back in on them whenever an update releases and maybe add a new feature, but don't expect much activity.
apologies
i have some stuff in progress for this mod still that i want released, so STEM will likely still receive semi-frequent updates
i still somewhat enjoy working on it
it’s an alternative that can be worse or better depending on available supplies
in its current state, it’s a buggy mess, but when it’s in thalassophobia, it will be much more stable and much more fleshed out, with the ability to harvest and replace individual organs, each with their own debuts when removed
there will also be cybernetics
i'll make sure installing both won't cause errors, but the only benefit to having both will be compatibility with other mods of mine probably

i’m just incredibly stressed, and the comments i just left serve as a general message to keep in mind that i do still work on this
even with as simple of a modding platform as xml, it takes time to create sprites and to fix the hundreds of statuseffects involved in surgery itself, which could probably be cut down on following an update to barotrauma itself adding item inheritance
please, just give me time
