You're very welcome!
Haven't played CS properly for a while, but for what I can tell by running around a little, it seems to be compatible still. There is however a bunch of new icons that is yet to be textured in this pack and a few ore blocks that needs a fix. =)
Thank you! That's incredibly kind of you.
The server errors out and cannot be joined as a result. I can confirm that the mod works great client side. If you ever need help testing I will be glad to help out. For now you are right and the best solution is simply to let users install this client side if they want it. It would be really neat if a server side texture mod existed.
Thanks for all the hard work you've put into the mod. I wish you the best.
Seems like alot of unintended stuff happening there..
Thanks for the feedback. I'll take a look at it. =)
Sorry for the late reply, didn't see what to do about it & then just never got around to actually replying..
I tried to make a server myself and got the same error / red text in the console.. but seemed to work regardless?
Did your server work? if so. It seems the errors aren't game breaking atleast. and should be fine.
Otherwise maybe make everyone individually on your server install the mod instead of installing on the server. wouldn't that work too?
- Cobblestone has stolen the texture for the stone bricks (normal cobble is wearing the texture for the normal stone bricks, black is wearing the texture for black stone bricks, etc.);
- The lanterns are wearing the berry bush textures (orange lanterns appear as orange-tinted berry bushes, blue lanterns as blue-tinted berry bushes, etc.)
- I'm not sure the water has picked up the mod's textures at all
This is the only mod I have installed for CS, and am on the current live version.
Great info! I'll fix in next update when I get the time.
Thanks for the helpful info as always! (I had no idea)
Should be an "easy" fix hopefully. I'll try to fix it with the icons in the next update of this pack.
There's an issue with quarter blocks when they are loaded/placed. It seems like the blocks (when placed) aren't being placed in their proper position. If I place a quarter block against a full block for stairs, there is an invisible gap because the placement animation is wrong. This can be seen when unloading the mod. If you place a quarter block properly without the mod it looks fine. When reloading the mod those blocks are visually loaded in the opposite position of what you had placed, but they are actually in their correct physical position. You can tell that it's wrong because you can no longer go up the stairs without falling into the invisible gaps between the quarter and full blocks.
Thanks for letting me know. (I don't play the game much lately myself)
I'll take a look into it when I get time. =)
I finally got some energy & spare time to get it to work with the new 9.0 version.
Was hard to test everything properly, so let me know if you find anything odd / broken.
Thanks!
You are not wrong. I'll definetely take a look sometime next week to see what I can do to salvage as much as possible. Without redoing all of it. =)
& thank you! Means alot.
I kept getting busy with other stuff and forgetting that I hadn't updated you all of the situation yet. But just wrote it in a temporary note for later when I had proper time and energy.. juust to then forget it again. heh..
Now the description has finally been properly updated!
Also thanks for the reminder @[SL]DastyHacker
No, unfortunately the new 9.0 update have change too many things to make it easily compatible for now. So it'll only work if you revert back to the previous versions.
I'll update the description soon enough with further info.
If you make it a thing, then a seperate Mod would be indeed better. If the game itself changes something about the colonists, and how they behave, then your texture Mod is save from it. In the long run thats the way i would do it.
Yeah the results differ much. At the end we are just a small community. ;)
Thanks for your feedback. Always much appreciated!
Seems like there's not much interest in it/ very spread opinions so far. ^^
I have however had another thought.. It might be doable to just make a "addon"/seperate texture mod, that only changes the colonists textures. So one can choose whether they want it or not.
Think that is the way it's gonna happen, if I'll make it a thing.
I voted as desired. As you said yourself, i think you should skip on them.
Have a nice day full of sunlight.
Unfortunately when you try to create realistic textures for a human, it can easily become uncanny/eerie quite quick.
So I didn't dare to try + I thought that the standard texture for them is/was detailed enough for me to skip them.. Seemed like the safer way.
I could however give it a try if more people want it to happen.. ?
But I think some small tweaks to them like changes to skin and clothes would probably be enough, what do you think @everyone?
Let me know in this poll:

Thanks! =)
I guess they do have the same layout indeed.
Sounds like alot of potential then. 0v0
Of cause it was. Anytime!
Yeah they are planning to overhaul quite a lot of mechanics. Reasearch, Workflow and so on. It sounded like a lot of (maybe) new possibiilites for textures *hint hint*
I hope the donut was for me, because, well...he`s gone anyway. Thanks i guess. ;)
Still new stuff coming? I had no idea, but sounds exciting.
I sure don't have any plans to abandon this project if I can help it. =)
Also, I appreciate all the kind words as always, it does help one wanting to keep it going. Thank you.
i am happy you are still active. Personaly, i am looking forward for the big changes in "Colony Survival", coming in the future. So i was asking myself, if (who knows) the future patches are coming with new workers, jobs and changed tools, are you thinking about to expand your Texture Mod? I cant think about to play this game anymore WITHOUT your Texture Mod. I am counting on you. :)
I don't speak russian, but from what I could gather from google translate, I appreciate it alot and glad you like the textures! Thank you.
