To everybody around here, this map was upgraded to accomodate the suggestions and feedback provided by a particular member.
He knows who I'm talking about. He should check the map and see whether it's better or not now. :)

I use a program called Direct MIDI to MP3 Converter (I have the paid version, the free version only converts 30 seconds) and I either use the default soundfont that comes with windows or a close to SC-55 soundfont. I usually choose which one sounds better since the SC-55 soundfont is far from perfect.

To Lunick, I would like to convert all music from my levels to OGG for Megaton compatibility, but did you record that MID with MS wavesynth, or using a SC-55 soundfont (or maybe even a real SC-55)? Since I'm out of home until wednesday, I won't be able to download the file, altough I would like to get the best interpretation of the music for my bundle. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for your feedback, Micky. It is always welcome to see experts in the field comment and give opinions and tips about how to make a much more pleasant experience for players.

The fact about this map is that this one, just like it's original game counterpart, is just an example of what the game has to offer, a showcase map and a small DM map of its own. Since it was actually my first true DM map, of course it wouldn't be favorable to everyone who plays it, as my expertise of DM balancing was null at that time. I really never ever expected this map to become popular, in some way or another.

So, in the end, it will remain like this, and changing the map today would be a shock to the people who played and knew the map when it was originally released many years ago. Although I am really considering some of your tips indeed for my bonus DukeMatch episode I'm making.

Unfortunately this is a very poorly balanced map. Too many powerful items all within a few seconds' reach of each other, and absolutely nothing in the rest of the map. Not to mention it's virtually imposslbe to get to the raised section after respawning when your opponent is armed with powerful weapons like the devestator and RPG.

If you're going to update it, put in some extra health and lower-tier weapons in the surrounding hallways, and maybe a few nooks and crannies to provide cover. I'd also recommend more ways to get to the raised platform with the goodies for the reason mentioned above. Possibly some ventilation shafts? Because right now this map heavily favours the person who gets the first kill, until the other guy is lucky enough to get even for a moment.

Hey there, thanks for uploading your maps, it is really cool to see old authors release their maps on the workshop. I noticed this map has custom music but Megaton doesn't support Midi playback. If you want, https://www.dropbox.com/s/xg7wa2ma3q6i3vb/USERMAP.ogg you can add this to your folder and update and the music should play properly :)

Lo he jugado hace años, y me gustó.
