Strange. This mod doesn't edit unit skins at all.

Might not care about this mod anymore but for whatever reason this mod interferes with unit reskins
pivak 19 Jul, 2024 @ 10:04am
Great mod. Just one question, Cohors Evocata have Melee AP only 4, because they are using vetgladius1 sword, which was not edited, like other gladius swords. Was it intentional?
Chrissant  [author] 7 May, 2024 @ 6:07pm
Yes it should.
Gotcha 30 Apr, 2024 @ 9:26am
Does it work with DEI 1.3.3?
Chrissant  [author] 4 Aug, 2023 @ 5:26am
The reforms are built into vanilla DEI.
Chuck Noris on bathsalts 3 Aug, 2023 @ 4:25pm
is this mod have no reforms?
Jaeger 18 Jul, 2023 @ 6:09pm

@Chrissant 짜노

Hello, when DEI has its newest update they just announced, could we get a version of this mod that's Stronger Parthia? If there are any two factions that should get big because it happened IRL, it should be Rome and Parthia.
King of the Castle 2 Dec, 2022 @ 8:57pm
As a filthy casual who is fucking sick of the Carthaginian navy I thank you
Chrissant  [author] 25 Nov, 2022 @ 1:40am
Nope
Primigenia 24 Nov, 2022 @ 9:04am
does this work without DEI enabled?
Chrissant  [author] 22 Nov, 2022 @ 5:51am
Mod updated, due to constant compatibility issues the reforms changes have been removed. People who want faster reforms can now use separate submods which reduce reform turn requirements.
Chrissant  [author] 14 Oct, 2022 @ 4:40pm
I gave their shieds' block chance a 5% buff.
Hugh Mungus 14 Oct, 2022 @ 11:24am
love the mods, have you ever given thought to a mod improving the testudo? seems silly in DEI that a group of slingers at max range decimate my troops in minutes. Its like they have garlic bread for shields...
Chrissant  [author] 5 Jul, 2022 @ 1:37am
There is a lot of mods that "glorify" Rome in vanilla already, I think.. I don't know what the vanilla gameplay is like at all.
oujosh29 4 Jul, 2022 @ 10:06am
Can you make this mod for non DEI campaigns? It looks awesome but I can't get into DEI
Chrissant  [author] 21 May, 2022 @ 3:09am
At the moment I'm focusing on expanding the Persian mod. Honestly making a buff mod like this is really easy, just asking around in the DEI discord might get you somebody willing to make one for you.
NoScope2434 20 May, 2022 @ 11:04pm
Chrissant, i love all ur rome 2 mods. I use mostly all of them. I have a question, would ever be able to make a stronger greek city states mod? something that makes greeks be stronger like rome?
Aristoxenus 22 Apr, 2022 @ 7:14pm
Chrissant is right, the early Polybian Roman units are already OP. Its like the AI already comes with that mod. Lets not forget that each time you defeat a Roman army, another spawns out of thin air
Chrissant  [author] 14 Apr, 2022 @ 5:50pm
Alright.
Devil May Cry 14 Apr, 2022 @ 5:18pm
Maybe just the buffs rather than the stamina than to help them stand against my troops better they tend to get crushed like most other kingdoms for me and no worries, take all the time you need
Chrissant  [author] 14 Apr, 2022 @ 2:27am
I did want to mention though, it's just because they removed the stamina ability icons in a recent update to DEI, all Roman legionary units actually do have pretty high stamina. Out of five levels, with the 5th level reserved for very light skirmisher troops, legionnaries have level 4. The only other heavy infantry that has stamina like Roman legionnaries are only a few thorax sword units, maybe some elite spear units, but that's it. Actually I think Roman legionnaries are the only units with good shields and swords and armor and good stamina all at the same time, AND be recruited by 3rd pop. So you should take that into consideration. It could be that you simply do not need my mod at all.
Chrissant  [author] 14 Apr, 2022 @ 2:24am
Ok. I'll do it when I have time. I am on hiatus for now and have to travel abroad soon. :(
Devil May Cry 13 Apr, 2022 @ 11:39am
I'd appreciate that if you could.
Chrissant  [author] 13 Apr, 2022 @ 1:30am
The fatigue resistance cannot be reduced, unfortunately. Perhaps I can just create a lite version that has no buffs in Rome itself, that way the additional stamina bonus is removed from Rome. I'll keep the AP damage changes and the stamina bonus to the post-marian units themselves, and the vassalization addition.
Devil May Cry 12 Apr, 2022 @ 12:19pm
Do you think you could make a secondary much simpler version of the mod? One that simply adds maybe a slightly reduced version of the fatigue resistance. Just a request, as i Wanna feel the legendary discipline of Rome in my campaigns without too many other advantages. Basically a more player friendly version
Chrissant  [author] 8 Mar, 2022 @ 5:25pm
Upon testing, it turns out the buffs are just way too strong for the Romans. So I removed charge deflect - the Romans get it from disciplined formation anyway. Also their shield bonuses were removed since their shield is already extremely good. The Roman gladius' weapon length was also slightly decreased to account for the use of Roman Shieldwall mod. I did buff their movement range bonus and gave the Romans even more fatigue resistance to make up for this. Worry not though, the Romans will still be very powerful whether you fight as them or against them. Legionnaries WILL NOT die.
the_moon_wolfy 28 Feb, 2022 @ 8:54am
It's fixed now. Thank you!
the_moon_wolfy 27 Feb, 2022 @ 6:07pm
Nono, it's just that I can't access the Modpage

This comes up anytime I try to enter: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2768070125
Chrissant  [author] 27 Feb, 2022 @ 5:23pm
Oh, is there an issue with Persian Glory?
the_moon_wolfy 27 Feb, 2022 @ 12:50pm
What happened to persian glory? It was awesome
Rocketsocks88 28 Dec, 2021 @ 5:39am
Oh i see. That makes sense, thank you!
Chrissant  [author] 27 Dec, 2021 @ 12:57am
The bonus applies only to the faction which owns Rome itself. Not all Latin factions. So if you have a civil war, that faction has no bonus against you. Only you have the bonus against them. It's meant to let the AI squash civil wars everytime without issue. You can however take advantage of this. Let's say you are Carthage. If you somehow managed to blitz through italy and take Rome itself, you will have that morale bonus against the remaining Roman forces. It's a double edged blade, basically.
Rocketsocks88 26 Dec, 2021 @ 6:16am
the part that adds morale vs Latin factions in rome just makes rome weaker because:

If Rome is fighting another Latin faction (very rare) then they're both buffed the same so it doesnt do anything except draws the battle out longer and cause more casualties on both sides.

In the much more likely scenario that ANY other faction is fighting rome in central italy then they have a buff vs the Romans.

Guys, feel free to use this mod with this for extra shits and giggles. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2640925337
Chrissant  [author] 30 Oct, 2021 @ 5:52pm
I could, but there are lots of ways to reduce attrition in the game already.
butters 30 Oct, 2021 @ 8:13am
can you make it some rome does get attrition as bad so gernals dont die all the time
Chrissant  [author] 28 Oct, 2021 @ 4:35am
By all means, feel free to share your opinion and make suggestions in the DEI discord channel. Mind you that early Rome is not that strong. Their strength comes in the late game.
Taeostine 27 Oct, 2021 @ 8:04am
rome isnt strong enough. Epirius has 3 stacks with one territory.
Chrissant  [author] 27 Oct, 2021 @ 2:37am
Read the description please.. this mod does not affect recruitment times. Also, in DEI all units take 1 turn to recruit.
Taeostine 26 Oct, 2021 @ 1:52pm
does this make recruitment times 1 turn each?
Chrissant  [author] 26 Oct, 2021 @ 3:22am
there are no public order bonuses in this mod. As it says in the description, it is save game compatible.
MunsMoney 25 Oct, 2021 @ 10:45am
is this compatible mid save in DEI?
Taeostine 25 Oct, 2021 @ 7:23am
thanks. what are the public order bonuses?
Chrissant  [author] 17 Oct, 2021 @ 2:00am
New update lets the Romans forms satrapies, and also gives the Roman region +10% bonus morale against other Romans. If Rome holds their capital, they will have a big advantage against other Romans during a civil war. However, if Rome has lost its capital to an enemy, that enemy faction will instead wield that +10% bonus morale against the Romans.
Chrissant  [author] 15 Oct, 2021 @ 9:34pm
Also fixed the fortification stance issue and buffed it overall.
Chrissant  [author] 15 Oct, 2021 @ 9:32pm
@Rupan Thanks for letting me know about the issues. Turns out the whole part dealing with weapon damage was missing for some reason. I must have made a mistake on a previous update and missed it. I added the weapon changes again, and I also increased both the number of stakes and barricades to 3 each, both for fortification stance and garrison stance for the Romans. Furthermore I updated the description on the regional buffs of Rome to include a universal stamina buff and a 15% movement bonus rather than 10%. The mod should work now.
