Please have this also affect the Tempestus scions. I want that unit to actually feel GOOD! Just give them Tempestus 12-18 as well because right now these guardsmen do more damage and live longer than the elite Tempestus Scions

Oh I'm aware, this is like one of three mods that do the exact same thing but scaled up with each iteration.

"You can now change the health of the Guardsman unit to whatever you want it to be. I suggest setting it to 10, and seeing how that affects your game. Since this game uses a "Squad" system, all unit attributes tend to be multiplied by the size of the squad. Since Guardsmen come in squads of 8, setting the hitpointsMax string to 10 will mean Guardsmen squads in-game will have 80 total health."

IF I were to make squads "purely aesthetically-speaking" bigger, I'd have to edit several parametres like individual hp and lasgun damage.
The only reason why I'm not yet picking this mod up is that I'm still going through 10-hour workshifts (with no apparent end to it yet) and I can only dedicate so much focus to even a basic modding project when my heavily-public relations job drains most of it really.

It's just not how it works as far as I know. If there are 30 guardsmen shown, the unit has thirty guardsmen. The way you'd get them to be purely aesthetic, to the best of my knowledge, would be to model, rig and animate an entire group of guardsmen.

I concur with Seras, would be great if there was a version that only provided an aesthetic change. My friends in multiplayer don't appreciate when I slice through their units like a chainsword through grox steak.

If you go through the files and you edit the stats of guardsmen you can lower the health of each individual guardsman and then increase their numbers

An all-in-one mod would limit the choice of each player. I initially made this mod specifically because I wanted to alter only the Astra Militarum, plus if I modified vanilla and DLC units together in the same mod I'd lock out a lot of people who are not interested or can't get the DLCs.

If you're asking for me to increase squad sizes for the other factions, then yeah I can but currently I am unable to dedicate time and focus to any project.

I'm considering dropping these 3 mods and marking them as obsolete, then releasing new ones for each faction with one or more alternate variants each (for example a vanilla squads mod and a DLC squad mod), if that makes any sense.

now this is classy :D i approve of this shit man :D though did you check out the others including the mainstay's of each like the tau fire warriors, the sluggahs and shoota boys the chaos cultists etc though one could say is it possible to bump up the numbers of all infantry of all factions and is it possible to pull that off with tanks and all or a select veachles like the sentinels the bikes and all?

@War Criminal....I am speechless....good work! I really appreciate it. I am just coming back to this game since these mods came out. With a new Gigantic map mod as well I can play some pretty tough games against the AI. Also the new faction mods like The Imperium and specialized Space Marine Chapters, really bring this game back to life for me. Plus the new DLC and constant game upgrades by the Devs themselves combine to make this the best 4X Warhammer 40K game out there for me! Thanks guys!

Okay so that's most of the ones I was gonna cover. Personally I'd rather you didn't take down your mod, I'll just make mine as an alternate version tbh. I'm (was?) gonna cover guardsmen, bullgryns, wyrdvane psykers, (maybe) heavy weapon squads, tempestus scions, scout sentinels, marauder bombers and thunderbolts.

You can edit the distance between individual soldiers/vehicles rather than the actual model's size. The parametres are called memberDeltaX and memberDeltaY.

yes, I did. I tweaked the sentinals to 3, the guardsmen to 20, I added two basilisks to the basilisk unit, added some more to the tempestus scions and made the psykers up to 7

Considering making a Discord so I can discuss this more face-to-face with anybody who'd want it, but then again it's just a matter of changing a textfile's numbers so I'm not that important lmao.

In all seriousness now, for full customizability I could make 3 "vanilla only" versions and 3 "vanilla + DLC" versions so that it's less cluttered for you guys, meaning you only need to choose one of them rather than subbing to multiple ones.

As for vehicles, I could start with just Sentinels and then maybe add more depending on requests.

Do you guys want increased squad sizes for vehicles as well? Should I do that in the same package instead of making two separate ones ("footmen edition" and "full package edition")?

And also, DLC units: how do I treat them? Same package as vanilla ones or a separate thingy for a broader spectrum of choice?
