please get the update out. id love to see these works
Damocloid 28 Oct, 2021 @ 6:06am
why are these so BIG
SeikakuOtosan 25 Oct, 2021 @ 1:39pm
Now that the weapon dlc is out and there are warheads I would love to see these get some love and be updated
Kamov☭ 19 Jul, 2021 @ 8:32am
its like use cordinate of it would track on its own

The devs have made several changes to the SRBs that have affected all missiles built before a few months ago. I may get around to updating these, but in the meantime players will have to tweak them.

Ive been trying to use your Surface to Air Missles but it seems they do not work ever, there are other APN missles out there that work 100%.

Radar in Stormworks is totally hit or miss--usually miss, sadly. There are no great workarounds, only hacks to get it somewhat more functional, until the devs address it.

Im using the Valkyrie mark II and setting its engine rotation to 0.5 so it moves at an absolute crawl and the rocket cannot get a slight lock at all and I wish the lock on wasnt absolute garbage
m3 16 Feb, 2021 @ 7:27pm
he sure enjoys beating up a huey with missile ok
m3 5 Feb, 2021 @ 2:57pm
it wont track or any of these missiles
either the radar needs fixing
and the heli im using is stuck in somewhat slow circles with autopilot on
m3 16 Dec, 2020 @ 1:58pm
lol how the heli just falls after like 3 seconds
Muffin 12 Nov, 2020 @ 3:20pm
in the air to air video what was the heli used to shoot the missiles.
CaptElijahIrelandYT 6 Nov, 2020 @ 6:27pm
Can I have the link to the green Huey used?
Piesuu 2 Nov, 2020 @ 1:04pm
I used it a few times but from one moment it just randomly started Evading the helicopter (the same one) That was at the same height and gps coordinates as before
Supreme_Calamitiz 2 Nov, 2020 @ 11:36am
I have seen this on Reddit and it looked awesome!:steamhappy::enteringsteamvr:
Arthur 2 Nov, 2020 @ 10:14am
SMEclipser probably one with an external radar for better range
NuketronSweep 2 Nov, 2020 @ 10:08am
this probably sounds dumb but i wonder what a greenfin would be like

Прикольная штука)

First off, the APN part of the Lua alone uses 8 different delta calculations, but why bother mentioning it if you never even took a look at it. Secondly, APN was doesn't care about where a target or missile is in space, all it cares is about the line of sight rotation rate and the closing velocity. PN/APN was designed and proven in the early 50s where early infrared sensors couldn't even give an accurate range estimate. Thus APN doesn't even predict where a target is, just how the line of sight angle rotates.
violet 31 Oct, 2020 @ 12:38pm
I retract my statement about it going to the predicted GPS location of the target. However, I still stand by my statement that only using 1 delta is not an effective way to predict where the target is.
Bumblotron 30 Oct, 2020 @ 8:20pm
@Bobb0404021, I respectfully ask for you to retract your statement. A. You don't know how this missile works, as it's obvious that this missile doesn't go after intercept coordinates. B. Yes you are correct, APN doesn't require coordinates as line of sight is the line of sight, however coordinates are advantageous over the pure radar line of sight as the missile and target's velocity vector can be accounted for, as well as acceleration that could be interpreted as the missile's own steering. C. Our method is true augmented navigation, as we use delta coordinates between missile and target to find the line of sight angle, regardless of the missile's rotation. TLDR: This missile converts raw radar angles into coordinates, which can be used more accurately for calculating the LOS angles used in APN, and compensating for the missile's actual velocity vector. Thus it is more than fitting of having "APN" as it's navigation algorithm.
violet 30 Oct, 2020 @ 7:52pm
This is not actually APN. How this missile works is that it finds the GPS location of the target, predicts where it will be after a certain amount of time, and aims at that GPS location. APN does not require the GPS location of the target or the missile. APN works off the principle that the line of sight does not change. However, your current method of target prediction works, but only for a slow maneuvering target. I propose that you should take into account the change of the change of the location of the target, which will help it hit targets that are turning. Furthermore, using the speed of the missile, you can write a simple equation so you can remove having to put the target leading in a property. Lastly, you should remove APN from the name to avoid confusion.

It targets Rotor blades.
AegiusX3 30 Oct, 2020 @ 4:01pm
would it be possible to make a wire guided torpedo that uses sonar to control it from a submarine?
Makita_RUS 29 Oct, 2020 @ 11:12pm
Do you remember Air Interceptor?

Go for it man! Just link this original post and credit it :)

@jerry I'm toying with a means for SALCOS capability.

This man is making his own weapons DLC
jerryfanfan 29 Oct, 2020 @ 8:55pm
The missile appears to have a radio. How about extending the missile tracking range by having a huge radar on the launch vehicle that passes the targeting information onto the missile, and then have the missile's own radar take over when it acquires the target?

Or alternatively some kind "beam riding" thing where the missile keeps track of its position relative to the launcher's heading and elevation?
Inverspe 29 Oct, 2020 @ 8:06pm
I saw you made a video about this aa missile
Cursed Soul 29 Oct, 2020 @ 6:05pm
The helicopter in the second video looks ridiculous. I love it
Keptin  [author] 29 Oct, 2020 @ 5:46pm
@Yoni Yep! It's in the works!
PeakCanvas16235 29 Oct, 2020 @ 5:10pm
Could you make a variant of that truck with these for an anti-aircraft truck?
