I have made an update which addressed some issues i found and also added some cool stuff.
Feel free to read the change notes. I am sadly not going to edit the discussion boards. So the new changes are in the Change Notes section above.
Hope you like it!
Sorry for the long holdup. What causes issues?
I believe it does. Normally the first mission is to fight the first army and gain some cash and alignment. Now the first mission is to hold Luoyang, which is the typical "first" mission you'd get once you hit prince. Usually in the base game, when you rank up from Noble to Second Marquis before completing your early game missions, the mission chain gets aborted. I'd assume this is the same case for Sima Ai who starts as Prince in your mod.
I had no clue.
Wouldn't ranking up Sima Ai to Prince at the start kill out all of his early game missions as a Minor Prince? Is there a way to make those available at Prince rank?
Like you say, it's the best time for huge mods and overhauls. Looking forward to whatever you do next!
The only thing I think is truly still missing are imperial courts, either for "imperial prince" or "victorious prince" rank. Particularly because it's terribly hard to maintain high satisfaction, especially for factions like Sima Ai who have no unique/unique background commanders with high authority.
Moreover, and the main argument I'd make for it: I think it would lend itself well to rewarding the player to hit those higher ranks (army limits and governors!), and allow other AI factions hitting that rank to become a much larger threat to the player. This is also a good case for making it simply "imperial prince" rank, as the AI will rarely hit "victorious prince."
I haven't really touched this mod as of late. Infact I doubt I have to.
I would love to learn how to make startpos mods. Right now is the best time to make huge mods.
Sorry fans

I may have recent found out how to make the AI utilize the alignment system. Problem is, I don't know how they will recieve alignment to the point that it feels fair. I may rework the alignment system entirely to not be too "dependent" on. So it's merely a bonus thing. That way I may not have to entirely rework the entire mod.
It would be so fun
Highlight: Sima Wei has gotten his unique skill, Champion of Fury. Sima Jiong's occupation option has been tweaked. Technology unit unlocks have been changed and certain technologies have had some number changes and added some new details to them.
Also, I hope you guys enjoy the new change note text layout. I hope it's more clear and looks better!
Highlights: Empire of Jin has gotten tweaks to it's AI and how they function economically. They suck economically, and are dependant on trade to survive. Should all trade trip from them, they will inevitably lose a heck load of income. Making them ripe targets for the ambitious lords.
Imperial units no longer require world leader (emperor status) to be recruited. What you have to do however is reach "Imperial Prince" rank and research the required researches.
Various princes have gotten tweaks to their balance and some interface edits have been made. A lot of AI personality tweaks have been edited along the way.

There is a mod on the workshop that makes peasants band and raiders recruit at full health, which help since you still need reform to unlock, and this way it makes them unique.
Also does this mod add the imperial units? Unmodded 8p is bugged so you can't get the imperial units, even with the reforms and being an emperor.
Many of the base units in 8P can feel very samey, if more base units could be added, what should be? Which should be replaced?
