No, dismembering your character does not induce the growth of new limbs. There are items in the mod that enable the growth of arbitrarily many limbs on any non-esper mutant; these are presumably what the character in the blurb uses to replace their hand.

I've been pretty sick lately so can't really investigate that bug. If you can use the Player.log to figure out exactly what's wrong I can probably make an update with the fix though.

Either the update didn't do what it was intended or I'm just lost. I am able to properly butcher brooding (color)puffs and collect their spore sacs but when I select the sacs in my inventory there's no option to apply it to myself nor by extension a select body part to infect. Also, is my character supposed to spontaneously sprout new limbs upon dismembering a preexisting fungal-infected limb like in the description?

I was able to reproduce the bug by saving/loading, so the latest update should fix it. Let me know if still gives you any problems!

It does look like a serialization issue. Azure, rose, and gold all give distinct fungus when used immediately, but save and quit + reload causes them each to give glowcrust. And that makes the way mine was broke and suddenly fixed make a lot more sense, it was bc I had originally tried using old sacs, but when testing did it immediately.

I did update the mod to use the fallback code I linked below so spore sacs should do *something* even if the color is bad.

Hrm, now I'm wondering if there's a serialization issue? Is this a freshly-butchered spore sac, or have you saved/loaded since you butchered it?

Can't grow extra body parts unless you're a chimera. Injecting the limbic fluid instead of preparing it can help with that if you'd like to be one.

Is there a restriction on growing body parts with drop of limbus? I'm just a normal mutant but I grew 9 body parts that immediately fell off when "Your meager body rebels at the ontological strain!"

Ok, just to make sure, you're killing a brooding <some color>puff, and butchering the mycelial remains it drops into a spore sac? The color comes from the species name of the mushroom you killed and is propagated to the spore sac.

Yes, the mod does not work with only limber enabled.

If I had to guess, ParentObject.GetPart<LimberFungalGasGrenade>().Color is returning null and being passed into GetFungusInfectionFromColor, which calls ToLower() and throws nullrefexception. I can't really tell any other way something in GetFungusInfectionFromColor could throw null.

Jade, but I think I tried gold as well. All that you listed happens for me, it just doesn't do anything after. Doesn't consume the sac and I couldn't get it to cause any fungus.

@Promethia, it seems to be working for me still? Selecting [a]pply from the menu gives you a choice of direction to apply it in, then gives a choice of body part to apply it to. What color broodpuff did you get the spore sac from?

@Greed, I've taken the opportunity in the latest release to switch over to the new merging semantics for population tables - I worry the other mod's impact on the tables may still make your game not play right, but Limber shouldn't crash you anymore

Yes, someone else mentioned stilt merchants standalone was their problem, so I'm now thinking it's a compatibility issue

I found the issue and fixed it. An extra </group> floating in another another mod was causing the problem. But only when this one was ran in conjunction. Weird.
Sorry for the false alarm.
I can't believe someone would be so lazy as to forget that </group>. What a lazy modder. (It was me)
