Spawn my darned custom empires already!

Interesting mod!

I'm keen on the customised Fallen Empire mechanic you've put in, that would work great for the Necrons in my current warhammer multiplayer game some mates and I are trying!

Do you know if it would be possible to custom spawn a marauder empire too? Or to increase the chance for custom to be fallen/marauder to 100%? Orks as marauders plus Necrons as fallen would actually be perfect.

Are there any mods that accomplish this already?

Unlikely. However if a mod changes the specific defines that this mod changes they will be overwritten. It's very unlikely. If you put this mod last, it should overwrite all other changes to the same defines.

Does it matter where I put this in the load order?

If force spawn is checked, my mod does nothing. I think I may know the issue however.

Do multiple of your custom empires use a special spawn system, i.e. any other system than "Random"? If yes, two factions using the same type cannot spawn for whatever mystical reason paradox has decided.

Example: Three factions using Sol starting system are on force spawn. When one is selected, the others will not be able to spawn.

As for the directory the file is Stellaris\common\defines\00_defines.txt. If you modify this it will, just like my mod, modify your checksum, meaing in a multiplayer game your friends would need to have the same modifications. But more likely than not, it's due to starting systems!

Bc i have a problem with spawning 12 custom empires in game with up to 12 AI's, with forced spawn checked.
Shade11 1 Nov, 2022 @ 11:50pm
Where did you edit the spawn chances? Can you show me the directory?
Reaper  [author] 19 Jun, 2022 @ 8:19am
If you force them on you'll have them spawn no matter what, you don't even need my mod for that.

The main reason why I made this "mod" if you can even call it that is because I had a huge list of custom empires I made and I wanted to have a random selection from all of them. If I put forced spawn on, I'd get the same list of custom empires spawning in every game.

With the mod on, you can keep spawn enabled, it'll be 90% spawning one of your custom ones and 10% to spawn a randomly generated one. It spices things up a bit. So in game with 10 empires (player not included) you could on average expect one auto-generated and 9 of your own.

if i put forced, will they show up for sure or i have to keep it just on ?

I've updated the required version now, it shouldn't give any message and should work like before.
Reaper  [author] 15 May, 2022 @ 12:29am
Does it not work anymore?
Siryphas 14 May, 2022 @ 3:21pm
Please update this mod!
Reaper  [author] 14 Feb, 2022 @ 1:00am
Ah excellent, I hope things continue to work well without any hiccups!

Oh wait a minute, now my other custom empire spawned. Disabling premade empires did the trick I believe
The Destroyer of Worlds 13 Feb, 2022 @ 7:20pm
I did. I even had to get a mod disabling premade empires and that apparently didn’t work.
Reaper  [author] 13 Feb, 2022 @ 1:41am
Did you try restarting multiple times? The current spawn rate is 90%, so there's still a small chance of it not spawning your custom empires. Although if you have multiple custom empires, at least one of them should be very likely to spawn.

I'll have to test it and see if it works for me. Did you have any of the premade custom empires enabled?
The Destroyer of Worlds 12 Feb, 2022 @ 4:45pm
Yes. I’m playing as one of them, yet the other hasn’t popped up.
Reaper  [author] 12 Feb, 2022 @ 3:24pm
It should work as far as I know. Have you chosen "Random" starting solar systems for all your custom empires?
The Destroyer of Worlds 12 Feb, 2022 @ 2:53pm
What happens if this isn’t working? What do I do?
Reaper  [author] 17 Jul, 2021 @ 10:21am
I'm the same way, created a whole ton of fun custom empires for me and my buddies to play against. Not having them spawn was driving me nuts and I didn't want to just force spawn on them. This was the best solution :)

this mod is required for my saves, as i like having presets or custom presets instead of randomly generated ai empires. thank you

For those wondering, nothing about the two parameters this modifies has changed in 3.0.1, so this mod should work fine.
Reaper  [author] 10 Feb, 2021 @ 7:21am
Seeing as this mod changes the checksum of the game, I'm not sure it's possible to change in-game in that manner.

You could modify the mod to fit your tastes :)
Bellatrix 10 Feb, 2021 @ 1:18am
90% is way too extreme
Would it be possible for this mod to add a new parameter in galaxy creation that lets you set the percentage that should be custom?
FortuneHost 8 Jan, 2021 @ 7:44am
Thanks, this will be great for some ideas I was having!

Rad!
Reaper  [author] 3 Jan, 2021 @ 7:02am
Of course :) I'd just like to point out that I'm very new to modding Stellaris, so there might still be a way to do it I haven't discovered yet. If I find something out I'll comment here.
Parker Posey's Mouth 3 Jan, 2021 @ 12:58am
Well, I appreciate you looking. All the primitives I've seen have been standard totally random varieties.

MAN WATCHERS
Reaper  [author] 2 Jan, 2021 @ 5:08pm
I looked into it a bit, but I could not find a way to change the generation or spawn of primitives.
Reaper  [author] 2 Jan, 2021 @ 5:55am
I'm afraid I don't. I didn't think of the primitives, do they just auto-generate like normal still?
Parker Posey's Mouth 1 Jan, 2021 @ 10:17pm
Deeply deeply appreciated! Now my only problem is all the randomized primitives that don't make any sense. Don't suppose you have a private mod like that you're holding out on us?
Reaper  [author] 9 Nov, 2020 @ 12:51pm
You're welcome, it's a very simple mod that I was first going to make private, but I figured I might as well make it public :)
Keukotis 9 Nov, 2020 @ 12:16pm
For those curious, the game's default values for these are 5% on both, so 90% is a huge boost. Thank you for this mod. I hadn't even been aware of this game setting before.
