@Sorry but I can't think of anything. When I made the changes in my mod, the UI adjusted around it itself. I never changed anything UI related. Just make sure that you have your own mod actually enabled in your playset list in the launcher. The old values being shown makes me think you've made your mod but you haven't turned it on. That's all I can think of I'm afraid.

Sorry to be a nuisance. I created the mod and it works... all apart from the fact the UI pop-up still gives the old movement cost when the pointer hovers over a mountain tile (it should be 28 but it is still claiming the old value of 12). Any thoughts on which file it is I need to mod in order to change this value for the UI?

@Mr Silly Glasses UnitProperties\Upgrades_Core_UnitProperties.rpk
Change the Category to Movement Abilities and you'll have your options to change.

May I ask: which RPK file did you edit? I might make a mod myself like this but which is more similar to Some What Impending Mountains" for AOW3.

@Mr Silly Giggles When you issue a move command, the game determines the fastest route. That includes the factor of mountains being basically impassable now. So I'm pretty sure the AI uses the same movement rules. It's not really a case of the AI being smart enough, the game will always enforce the quickest route with the map information the Player/AI has.

Does this mod affect AI players or are they smart enough to adjust to the different travel costs?

@Malorn Yeah sorry, it's rare but it can occur. It's an AI problem that doesn't seem to take into account the new mountain cost in the fog of war. I avoid auto-pathing 99% of the time anyway so I barely have this hiccup and I've played a ton of matches and I encounter the AI having a hiccup with it maybe 1 out of 20 matches.
Sorry you're having trouble there but like I said, it's an AI thing that's well beyond my ability to fix.

Hm... slight problem. The AI now gets 'stuck' trying to cross mountains, as will your own units auto-pathing. This is despite the fact that the unit will never, if it has less than 40 mp, complete the move.

@Washeek Personally when it comes to NPC faction quests that last 10 turns I never have problems unless they spawn in a really weird location but you can just decline the quest if you see that.
Apart from that I haven't played campaign really so I can't say whether it affects it too much. Moving around your empire with roads feels and is fast as it should and it's nice to feel that quick movement within your domain and then slowed movement as you enter the uncharted frontier.

Hi, haven't tried this, but thinking about it, anyone having issues with finishing quests on time because of worse travel times?
