JNesty 15 Jul, 2022 @ 1:29pm
This is a fantastic ship, but the Guppy doesnt fit into the hangar; the ladder blocks it

SIbb 9 Feb, 2021 @ 4:12pm
@UR_MOM i love the boat needs more emergency lights tho
BearishBull 20 Jan, 2021 @ 1:26pm
@UR_MOM. Thanks for your response. Your time and effort is really appreciated, here and when you made this beauty. All the best and I look forward to more of the fruits of your labour.
UR_MOM  [author] 18 Jan, 2021 @ 11:11pm
@joe I believe the problem your having is due to using the ship with infinte electric turned on. The sub lights are controlled by a fuse, so if infinite electric is on you cannot turn off the sub lights.

@BearishBull Thank you so much! I really appreciate that! But again, most of the credit goes to Naoened and Kranakan for their ship, the Volunteer, and the other creators whose works I brought together. I just made my own tweaks to them and found my own way to combine everything. But I do appreciate the compliment, I put a lot of thought into this ship and I am very proud of the result.
The reverse gear is controlled by the lockable button on the center console. In unlocks when the throttle is sufficiently low. I have relabeled it now and next time I update the workshop model it will appear.
Joe 17 Jan, 2021 @ 8:16pm
How do you turn the lights off on the Guppy?
BearishBull 16 Jan, 2021 @ 3:22pm
really amazing work, seriously one of the best bits of kit on the workshop. Just trying to figure out reverse gear and it will be unstoppable. beauty of a ship though.
kefept 20 Nov, 2020 @ 10:00am
thanks

@kefept no worries! First, use the big screen at the rear of the bridge to plot a course. Turn the screen on with the button next to it. It is touchscreen. You can adjust the zoom level by clicking anywhere on the bar to the left. Then click where you want your first waypoint to be. The screen will jump to the place you clicked. Then hit the "+" button at the top of the screen, this will place a waypoint there. If you want to place more than one waypoint, you can then click the area of the map you want the next waypoint to be and again hit the "+" button to place a waypoint there. Do this as many times as desired. Finally, there is a button in the center console outlined in grey that engages the autopilot (this may be all you were asking about, but maybe this info will help someone else)
kefept 19 Nov, 2020 @ 9:51am
how do you ingage the auto pilot? sorry fo bad english
UR_MOM  [author] 17 Nov, 2020 @ 1:26pm
@Roseman I haven't had that problem. Maybe you still have the 'move towards hangar' button enabled at the same time as the 'move towards crane' button?
UR_MOM  [author] 17 Nov, 2020 @ 1:24pm
@Oiad thanks for helping out the community! I am aware that the outside sled controls dont work. I havent figured out a fix just yet. You can store the sub, but the rail system inside the hangar is separate from the exterior sled system. Check the description for instructions.
Oiadine 17 Nov, 2020 @ 2:14am
and it seems you actually can't store the submarine, due to the rails getting in the way of the platform holding the sub.
Oiadine 17 Nov, 2020 @ 2:13am
btw, to the creator, the external controls for the hanger don't work
Oiadine 17 Nov, 2020 @ 2:10am
make sure to store the submarine tho
Oiadine 17 Nov, 2020 @ 2:09am
unlock the crane, and you should be able to move it forwards and backwards using the left and right arrow keys
Oiadine 17 Nov, 2020 @ 2:09am
you use the crane
leoyip2008 15 Nov, 2020 @ 9:42pm
like the sped boat
leoyip2008 15 Nov, 2020 @ 9:41pm
How do u use the boat
Roseman 15 Nov, 2020 @ 11:11am
Can't seem to get the sled to return (move towards the crane) after I put the Guppy in the hanger.
Elonovich Muskowinsky 14 Nov, 2020 @ 8:11pm
Some buttons need to be labelled but otherwise great!
Naoned 14 Nov, 2020 @ 2:15pm
Good idea for the fuse. Last time I got attacked by a meg the engines caught on fire and I didn't have time to deal with the crane... that's why I added the "meg emergency" button, with a bit more than 30 knts speed you have a chance to escape it if you spot it soon enough.
UR_MOM  [author] 14 Nov, 2020 @ 1:43pm
Okay I fixed the emergency beacon finder, I think. Anyone let me know if it still doesn't work. I removed the crane stabilization button. Now it makes a lot more sense why the ship would pitch so much when I enabled that button. I also moved the crane fuse switch to the outside because I noticed that when a meg attacked it would trip the fuse and be pretty much inaccessible because you couldn't open the canopy to get to it. So the crane would just swing around wildly, throwing off the balance of the ship. Now you can stop that if you're brave enough to go out on deck during a Meg attack.
MonkeyKing73 13 Nov, 2020 @ 8:49pm
wow!! will check this out and comment!
UR_MOM  [author] 13 Nov, 2020 @ 5:19pm
Thanks @Naoned, I will make those changes. I'm glad you said that because I tried to use it yesterday for a beacon locator mission and just gave up because I assumed whatever I was looking for was well hidden!
@Lix, I'm glad you're enjoying it! Your sub brings a whole new depth to the experience (pun intended)
@hans I believe there are light switches behind your head, but I will look into it
Naoned 13 Nov, 2020 @ 1:36pm
Hi, UR_MOM, I just noticed during attempting a mission that the beacon finder was not working properly because it is triggered by the "switch off screens" button. This is an inheritage of the Volunteer, I changed the function of this button and forgot to remove the link :-) I suggest you connect the "activate beacon finder" entry to a "constant ON" block. Also, consider removing the "stab" button in the crane (the upper on on your right) as it desactivates the stabilisation system. I did the same on the Volunteer and uploded it.
Lix 13 Nov, 2020 @ 10:41am
Very impressive ship! I feel quite proud to see my little sub as part of your creation!
Naoned 13 Nov, 2020 @ 9:54am
Hi, no problem if you want to delete the comments, but I have seen you've found the way to update the thumbnails without deleting.
DeLucas2007 13 Nov, 2020 @ 12:36am
hi it is a nice ship but can you make a button to set the lights o the submarine off she are to bright ;)
UR_MOM  [author] 12 Nov, 2020 @ 3:30pm
I found it! All good. I'm going to republish this with the new thumbnail. Mind if I delete these comments?
Naoned 12 Nov, 2020 @ 3:03pm
First you need to do a 512x512 picture in .png format. This is done easily with Paint, for example. Then you save it in your Thumbnail folder in the same directory than your other SW files, and you should be able to find when in SW editor.
UR_MOM  [author] 12 Nov, 2020 @ 3:00pm
@ Noaned I couldnt figure out how to do a custom thumbnail. I cant find the file in my stormworks folder. Any advice on this?
UR_MOM  [author] 12 Nov, 2020 @ 2:14pm
@Naoned Thank you so much!
Naoned 12 Nov, 2020 @ 1:56pm
Congratulations for all the modifications brought to the boat, giving her her own personality! All very nice and detailed. The Volunteer is very proud to have a sistership!!!
