I finally found the necessary files, but the problem is that this is a script, not configs. So it's not easy and quick to fix.
This mod uses FlashbangGrenadeMk2 and FlashbangGrenadeMk3
The following grenade types are specified in the StingGrenades ability code:
- FlashbangGrenade
- HunterFlashbang
- AdvGrenadierFlashbangGrenade

Also, judging by the discussion with bugs - too many abilities do not work well with this mod. I'll have to unsubscribe, the iodine hasn't been updated for a long time.

The specific item is probably spelled out in the perc terms of use.
I assume that you need to find a file that describes the working conditions of perc Sting Grenades.
I could have tried to edit it, but I couldn't find the file itself.

Well, in general, it seems that all new grenades may not work on any perks that work with specific grenades, and not the entire class of grenades.

This mod disabled the Infinite Starting Items mod once I upgraded to T3 warheads so I'm back to buying flashbangs and smoke grenades one at a time. If only they were compatible

Highly recommend Zelfana's Assorted Fixes Config. Fixes a bug in this mod where the EMP Bomb has a 100% chance to stun the target. The mod has some awesome bug fixes overall too!

Is there a way to completely remove the Flashbang upgrades included in this mod? Playing LWOTC Mod Jam, if I let the flashbangs get upgraded I can't use Sting Grenades anymore. I've tried to make them buildable and limited but it still stops me from using the tier 1 flashbangs.

Hello there! Cool mod, big booms and all. But have a little problem: proximity mine benefits from some skills of soldier - either Boosted Cores (+damage to explosievs) or Officer's skill that granting everyone +1 on all damage. And it deals 1 damage on impact when thrown. Is there any way to make it deals 0 damage so it doesn't break coancealment:?

Just as a heads up for anyone in the future who might be curious like me, this mod innately works with A Better Weaponry since this mod doesn't touch tier 1 frag grenades, and that mod doesn't effect any grenades besides the tier 1 frag or introduce any grenades past the tier 1 flechette. ABW keeps the vanilla plasma grenades as the tier 2.

You're trying to play this mod with lwotc which isn't supported, what are you exactly expecting by commenting this here instead of, say, lwotc's page or the patch's?

Getting an odd problem with my Incendiary Grenades as well as other un-upgraded grenades: ever since I researched Advanced Explosives the first tier grenades don't show up in my item lists when selecting my loadout manually. I'm able to get around this using Iridar's loadout manager as long as that grenade was included in my loadout. I also have the Superior Explosives mod with the B&T patch included. From what I gather, it's something to do with the names in the ini, but can't figure out what the issue is. If the bomb projects would automatically upgrade my existing grenades to the next tier that'd be ideal, but it doesn't seem to be doing that.

The project finally showed up after researching Battlesuits (Tier 3 armours). This is with a Mod Jam/LWOTC setup with the B/T patch installed by Interventor

In terms of using this mod alongside RPGO, would I need to do any tweaking of ini files in order to get the perks in RPGO to work with these new grenades?

I was thinking in terms of perk trees like the regular RPGO Grenadier tree, along with other RPGO plugin mods like RPGO Even More Specialisations which adds in perks like Full Kit and Rapid Deployment, and also Grimy's Classes Specialisations which adds additional grenade-related perks.

Is this compatible with Smoke Grants Concealments, which adds an effect to Smoke Bombs and Smoke Grenades to make them grant concealment to all units caught within the zone (on initial launch of the smoke grenade/bomb)? As in, does the effect apply to the tier 3 smoke grenades as well, and if not, could that be implemented?

@agape: i found your post after i figured out how to make rapid deployment work for lwotc and LW2 Classes and Perks (which is what I'm playing). Doh. This is what I came up with based on the new grenades in this mod. The mod silent throwing contains a nice list of grenades in its config which could be added as well.

I installed this mod with lwotc, completed advanced explosives proving grounds (have also done andromedon autopsy) and got the prompt for smoke and flash bombs that i can now create; however i dont have an option for the new t2 proximity mines, new t2 plasma grenade nor do i see a proving grounds for the next "Superior Explosives"

For anyone wondering, because I wasn't sure: This seems to work fine with Proficiency Classes. The concussion grenade perk that gives you an extra flashbang still works when you've upgraded to warheads.

@PreConceptor the author of that mod most likely doesn't play xcom 2 anymore

however i recompiled the mod to make those 3 abilities work with both superior explosives and tier 3 grenades and placed the link and instructions in a dedicated discussion thread on lw2 classes mod page and with the addition of those config changes it should make this mod completely supported by that mod

@Agape this is correct, but there is no way to make Bluescreen Bombs, Sting Grenades, or Dense Smoke work with the SupExp upgraded grenades (without the mod author releasing an update that changes the compiled code), and the base grenades become unavailable when the upgraded versions are researched.

So for some reason the superior explosives project isn't appearing in the Proving ground for some reason. I've completed advanced explosives and the andromedon autopsy both. I'd add the research via console but I don't know the command. Has anybody else experienced this?

If you have LW perks, in I believe adding these lines into the XComLW_SoldierSkills.ini (long war mod folder) file should make the grenades work with Rapid Deployment and Fullkit.

This mod is not compatible it seems with the Chimera Classes mod. The perks that affect flashbangs do not work with upgraded flash grenades.

Is this one safe to remove mid campaign? The upgraded flashbangs unfortunately do not work with some of the LW2 classes perks. More specifically Bluescreen Bombs and if previous comments are right also Sting Grenades.

So i got the flashbang bomb but i also have a mod that makes flashbangs a starting item, but upon upgrade i lost the flashbangs and now have only a limited amount of them... any way this incompatibility can be fixed? the mod is called [WOTC] Infinite Starting Items

If this gets an update again can you add support for Sting Grenades and Dense Smoke perks from LW2 Classes and Perks? As far as I can tell they are hard coded to only affect vanilla grenades and the T3 ones would need to be specifically patched in order to work. I can see other mods do a similar things with other flashbang-like grenades so it should be possible.

If the Flashbang Bomb (tier 2) also doesn't work with Sting Grenades, then yes. There may be more to it but from what I can see from taking a peek at the .uc files is both the Sting Grenades and Dense Smoke perks (and likely any other perk that specifically affects certain types of item or grenade) have to patch specific items in order to apply their effects, or have the exact item listed in order to apply their effects, and any items not defined don't get the effect.
