Sorry I never commented - Dementia, I'm getting old.
Can't update anything anymore for related reasons. :(

If there is an existing developer though who wants to take over, I'll happily give it (and my other mods) away!

TheAvonix: I just finished implementing the stat bonuses, along with rebalancing all the weapons - that's coming in a few minutes.
There's no plans for a thrall though, I just can't make the thrall slot disappear from the bench. (I have included "thrall bonuses" in the recipes/items directly).

is that unique created in 3.0? the magic system is not impressive. we all once played skyrim, that's where the magic was. everything else in the game is fucked up. of course, developers need to spin like a top in front of the management, proving their usefulness. everything has changed and I'm extremely dissatisfied with the update. that's why i can't play the old version? I want to play what I paid for. and not in what funk imposes on me. with every update, patch, my game breaks. I'm tired of dealing with it every time. downloaded a pirated copy for my enjoyment. and funk ... yes, he went on a long sexual journey.

Love the mod so far, and finally got to using the first of the weapons, but noticed they dont have the new STR or AGI based setups on there, making them not apply the STR or AGI bonuses? Are you able to hook those into their proper stat bonuses? Any plans for a thrall to go into the bench?

Hi! In theory it is the other way around, but 3.0 messed things up a bit. The mod is getting an overhaul soon, will look into it so :)

I just spawned in the knock out bow and star metal blunted arrows to test on a single player game, the bow does more weapon damage to T4 thralls than concussive damage, they die before being knocked out. I would have thought it should be the other way round, as it is specifically designed for knocking out, it should do very little health damage and high concussive damage.

Sorry for not responding, it took me this long to understand most of your post!
- Getting textures (or other assets) from another mod: No, this is not possible. :(
- Return production to the gaming machine: If you mean, put the recipes back into the blacksmith instead of my own bench - this could be done, but I won't. Clutter-wise my own bench is better for most players, and also:
- Putting it back into vanilla benches would mean, you can use thralls with bonuses to craft the weapons. I prefer to have a flat material discount instead of the bonuses, because for those I would have to rebalance (weaken) all the weapons and tools. :)

Yes, dual swords is a mod. And I don't remember which mod adds these swords. But can you get textures from the mod and make improvements? I also want to ask, is it possible to return the production to the gaming machine? And that vanilla reinforced by slaves does not differ much in characteristics.

The base game does have dual swords I think, just not Star Metal ones.
I can certainly make higher stat versions of some other dual swords, but that will only happen if/when I ever add a complete collection of other weapons to the mod, not just Star Metal. :)
Possible in the future, but no plans for it anytime soon.

Hi Gvidon, Unfortunately I have no graphics skills to speak of - all I did with this mod was take the existing Star Metal weapons from the base game and tint them, as well as give them new values, recipes etc. I can't make the models or textures needed for new Star Metal weapons, sorry. :(

Not for the moment, so far I only modified colours on all existing Star Metal weapons - I lack the skills for anything else.
I have a friend working on a bunch of completely new weapons, but that's slow and hard work - may be a long time before we could get to a Katana, if ever.

Oh interesting, any thoughts of adding special effects like that?
I mean especially now that you have the ability to upgrade whichever colour you prefer, it could lead to some interesting extra reason to choose one over the other

Benefit of blood over venom - none. They're just 2 different colours with identical values. ;-)

Neither actually. The naming is just to describe the colours, and the ingredients used in making them.
All weapons and tools in this mod are 1:1 copies of the vanilla star metal ones, meaning they do the exact same things as those. Just with different looks, and increased damage/penetration/durability values.

Do the Starblood weapons all do bleeding damage? is there a benefit to it over the Starvenom? I assume Starvenom inflicts poison?

There are some mods that make higher damage weapons, I can't stop those, thankfully most either make them really hard to get, or are just not mainstream mods.

The only expansion plans I do have left for this mod currently are potentially adding more colours in the future, and adding some custom weapons that friends are working on modelling for me.

They will stay in the new bench. I can't stick thralls in there, but also wouldn't want to (and hate the 2.4 specialist thrall system) - this is for the same reason as I don't plan on making even higher damage weapons: They're balanced to give you an edge over vanilla gear (just like the AoC stuff), but also not make the game too easy. Easy games are boring for most people, and make them stop playing. Wouldn't want that!
So just like with the AoC Kronyx stuff the recent upgrades are mostly the final step, and the only thrall equivalent bonus is that the recipes now need less Star Metal (pretty much the same benefit as the pre 2.4 thralls gave).

excellent Mod, love it, though i wish we could place thralls in the new workbench, or maybe perhaps remove the new work bench and leave it in the old benches. Since those can be equipped with thralls. Also, any possibility of higher level weapons ?

No, no thralls at all go into the new bench. I compensated for that by making all recipes cheaper.
I should look into removing the thrall interface altogether though, reduce confusion!

The update with weapon upgrades will be delayed a day or 2.
I know how the texture bug and the Starvenom recipe results bug happened and managed to escape me, but I don't know how I didn't notice the thrall bug. So, need to implement additional testing procedures.
Won't be too long though, I expect still this week!

An extra workbench is better for most people than all those recipes in the blacksmith.
But yeah, the texture thing I just got told, looking into it and the thrall. Sorry I didn't see it here earlier!

...i like the idea BUT theres tooo many Workbenches in the Game. I dont want the extra Bench..
The new Textures from the Bench are buggy too and the Bench dont accept my Blacksmith Thrall... idk maybe you have too prove and fix some of this.

@bordiur Very sorry for the late response, been too busy and forgetting! All the tools are stronger than Star Metal tools and thus also obsidian ones. They're slightly above Star Metal for Starfire, slightly below AoC's Kronyxium for Starblood, and in the middle for Starlight. :)
