Yes, I sadly had to removed this. The problem is, that as soon as you store the sledge in a shelf, you got graphic bugs with its content showing around everywhere around the shelf. If I find a way to have the content visible while the slegde is not stored and make it invisible when the sledge is stored, then I will activate this again.

Isn't craftable, shows up on the fabricator with a red thing above it that says "Requires Recipe", just a heads up.

I had two mods in development that, among other things, increased scooter speeds in some way. Since I don't have a lot of time for modding at the moment, I can't say if or when I'll finish them. If someone is interested in making an own mod, these are the ideas (just help yourself to them):
First mod included more updates you can buy at outposts, like increased scooter speed, increased sonar range, reduces power consumption of lamps ect.
Second mod added alien technology pieces (hidden in alien crates) that could be used in the fabricator together with artifacts and standard euqipment to produce hybrid technology equipment like alien scooters (super fast, more silent but runs only with fulguirum), hybrid tech diving suits (that heals the diver but worked only with liquid oxygenium) an hydro-plasma-gun (4 shots, slowly reloads itself as long as underwater) ect.

Have you considered the possibility of making an upgraded Mk2 version with perhaps increased speed and a sonar system? I'm thinking of the upgrade from the base scooter to the jetscooter from EK's mods.

Another fine mod in the 'things that should have been in the game already' department. Certainly makes salvaging wrecks in singleplayer a lot less tedious, thanks!

Can you make another 1-2 types of scooters?
Now there is a heavy one with three boxes. This is a super lot. Make it even slower, but add a fast version of the scooter, where there will be fewer slots for boxes (for example, 1 slot) with increased battery consumption.

I do not know what the reason is, but sometimes this heavy scooter continues to work, ignoring the discharged battery.

Can't put new ammo types in your sledge. Laser ammo doesn't fit for sure, dunno about other types (chaingun, railgun canisters) as i don't use them yet.

Sorry for the late answer, was busy with reallife stuff and other projects but finaly added the new diving suits to the containable items. @Logic: Till yet I did not experience the described problem with forced dequipping. If it keeps on happening just write here again and I'll check if I can find any solution.

Placing the sledge with a crate (or a few) on a crate rack makes the crate misaligned. Is it fixable?

One note though, when I'm in wrecks rarely it'll force-de-equip the sledge and drop it after I go through some doors. Unsure if it's some weird reaction with gap designation or something, but picking it up a bunch of times forces it to start working again.

Unsure if it's intended, but you can quadruple a standard crate shelf's ability to hold crates with these. Regardless it's wonderful to not take a billion years to fully loot and pull back stuff from a wreck

@Kreszny, MrBadman: Thanks for the feedback. I don't think that this is too unbalanced. With the mineral scanners from the vanilla game you can easily find deposits of uranium and titanium and can just mine them, even faster than using this mod to take a diving suit from a wreck and defabricate it on your sub.

I have some feedback. Allowing players to transport diving suits on the scooter breaks the balance by giving free titanium.

Transporting crates saves time, so saves fuel rods but that's negligible compared to free titanium... and transporting crates is the whole point in this mod, so I can't find a solution to that.

Hi Krzeszny, thanks for reporting this bug.
Actually the main purpose for this item was to allow the transport of large objects like crates and artifacts, so I haven't experienced the problem discribed above before.
The problem is, that I couldn't find a mechanism that limits the battery drain to only one slot. I will check if I can find a way in the next days, but I'm afraid at this point the game mechanics do not allow to differ between different slots on the same item.

It still works but there's another minor bug. If there's a battery in a container in the Sledge, or even a battery in an item in a container that's in the Sledge, the Sledge will be powered but won't drain that battery.

Outdated after the stacking update.

You can load multiple batteries into it but they all get drained at the same time, as fast as one battery.

Nevermind, on another one it worked fine. I guess one of the shelf in the "Explorer" sub is not flagged as a container for some reason.

But I just gave it a try and the upload worked. So now everyone should be able to transport artifacts inside the underwater sledge.

It was intended to do so and I already added the "alienartifact" to the containable items in the mod on my harddrive. Problem: since the last big barotrauma update I can't update my mods (due to the roadmap/bug fixes list of barotrauma this is a known problem - hopefully solved with the next update). So as soon as I can upload mods again, I will update it. Until then you can just open the UnderwaterSledge.xml in the items folder of the mod and add "alienartifact" to the <Containable items=...> list.

Does this also carry artifacts? Giving an option for a single diver to transport an artifact with a little bit more speed and manoeuvrability than just swimming, but less than a water scooter?

This is a bit tricky, cause both are large items and needs two hands. Since each character can hold only one large item, you have to drop the sledge, take the ammo box and drag and drop it into the sledge. If the ammo box is inside a shelf, there is also the way to drag and drop it directly from the container shelf into the sledges inventory slots while holding the sledge.

I don't know how to post a file on steam so I'll just tell you what I did:

First I assumed you wanted it to require 4 battery cells, so I added an extra inventory slot so I could have 4 batteries and a crate

Then I changed the lines formatted -- <StatusEffect> type:"OnUse" target:"Contained" condition:"math" -- and changed their format to -- <StatusEffect> type:"OnUse" targettype:"Contained" targets:"typeOfBattery" condition:"math" -- so that it only affects the durability of the batteries
