For me overall, the reason I'm using this mod is for more colorful stone types, not so much to have a stone as a fuel. The stone types are very cool in general and really bring a lot of needed color options for stones, especially since KV's stones seem to be abandoned. Thanks for the mod!

If you like, you can remove the 'JetPatch' and 'ChemfuelPatch' patches and that will remove jet's ability to be used as a fuel source.
My ideas were to add Cinnabar, Realgar, Orpiment, Dolomite, Chert, Hornblende and Pyrite. Of those I'm most likely to add hornblende and pyrite first because they're more fun. The first three are all going to be very weak structurally, and I'm not sure how much I can visually differentiate realgar, cinnabar and rutile while still looking okay as natural stone. Having three red stones might be a bit much. But I'm open to thoughts!
Possibly necessary related to them being an alternate fuel source?
Love the mod & compatibility; nice job!
I do plan to do metals at some point, but I'm not certain how I want to do it. Mods already exist for many alloys and common metals. I hadn't thought about adamantine, but that could probably be separate in case people don't want it.
Any plans on including Adamantine?
I wasn't thinking of implementing all that much in terms of the stones' constituent materials until I get to the more useful ores; I originally haven't included DF's mercury and arsenic stones for instance, but since poison isn't modelled in either game I'll probably add them now.
I don't think you really need that many different rocks unless you're collecting them all somehow, but I did put more emphasis on aesthetics for this mod because Rimworld doesn't have much in the way of colour variety and you can't really make a super colour coded colony. The whole thing started because I wanted microcline in the game. Now it's kind of spiralled.
I was of the opinion that jet is not great for building or making anything practical. But yes, it can be used as a gemstone. I haven't implemented jewelry compatibility for it yet, because I deliberately avoided most gem- and ore-bearing things for probably inclusion in another mod.
But if you're patient enough to do the DF frame-crawl in Rimworld, you can now have gorgeous bases with this mod!
Not sure why jet is 'the worst'? It's semi-precious IRL. Also Rutile is an ore containing titanium and some trace other exotic metals. Any plan to utilize this? Since Rimworlders have advanced tech and dwarves just have cheese obsessions.
