What about custom battles? And I advise you to use Revolutionary mod for barbaric formations.

Hi, I really liked playing with your mods of PAX ROMANA, but it is so long that they don't work, the battle goes on crash. Please upgrade. Much obliged.

First i have to say that your mod is realy great.
I have installed the five parts of your mod and the game crash every time i try to start a battle with boats (naval or city assault). Also the french traduction with UPC is not complete, traits of factions and several unit ability don't show up.

I'm not expert, but I think that maybe a problem is the submod "Caesar's Legions" which is not updated, you can check? Thanks.

Congratulations for your mods, are the best of Rome II, very nice graphically, with many new units realistic and historically accurate, tactics and technologies are very advanced and much more.
A really great job, thanks for your work.

@Nobilis Now my mod have available Cretan archers and Balearic slingers from manipular reform and usually most of auxillia cheaper than legions (but is depend auxillia type)
Auxilla progress here is: manipular reform- italian socii+ Cretan archers, Balearic slingers and Numidian Cavalry
Marian (cohort) reform - unregular auxilla, Augustian (professional) reform - regular auxilla

Okay got carried away SORRY. Love your MOD, I cant play without it now. Tried others and so far I enjoyed this the most. Keep up the awsome work!

Can you add archers from syracuse because rome recieved their archers back in 217 BC?
oh and I never checked but did you make Auxilla units cheaper to maintain than legionarry units?
Ts_AubrieTaylor 25 May, 2014 @ 10:45am
Yeah I was able to figured that out. What i know of roman history is that the auxilla (30BC) was formed 103 years before the lorica segmentata(43 AD Claudius invates Britannia) were starting to be phased in. Historians believe the first variant of lorica segmentata was invented around 9 BC most likely from Germania Superior then evolved to different variants from Britannia. Which took awhile because most legionnaires were still using chain mail(lorica hamata) and had to buy their own armor from their pay. Most likely legionnaires that were below the rank of optio didn't upgrade to the new armor due to a higher price until A. They saw for them self from the new recruits that paid more for segmentata that it worked because they knew that lorica hamata has worked for them for years B. that their own set of armor started to wear or became damaged and C. The availabilites of Segmentata from blacksmiths from Gaul because if your legion supply officer didn't buy it you didnt get to get it.
Akuru  [author] 24 May, 2014 @ 4:18am
@Nobilis Regular auxilla required professional soldiery technology. Was formed from Agustus period so is contemporary of segmentata legions
Ts_AubrieTaylor 23 May, 2014 @ 3:35pm
Am I missing something? I can see auxillia infantry grayed out but cant recruit. It says I need research but doesnt tell me what research. I have a Auxillia camp lvl 4 in Gaul and only can recruit the local troops. I want the regular Auxilla Infantry unit.

Wasn't the Pax Romana a period of peace that lasted till Agustus died? After he died they had something like 20 emperors in less then a century.
Akuru  [author] 24 Apr, 2014 @ 8:02pm
@VikingsWrath Pax Romana was based on war too. Concept of Pax Romana is not related with diplomacy, it is Internal Peace (order) inside of boarders of Roman Empire. The mod name mean expansion of Roman Peace (Roman Empire controll) to all the world. And it is ancient latin concept, not my invention.
BeaverBiter 24 Apr, 2014 @ 3:34pm
thank you for responding Akuru, but i am wondering why you chose to name your mod Pax Romana (Roman Peace). does this mod greatly improve the diplomacy of the game, or is is just less (on the edge gaming) as in less hectic and more thinking of your next move rather than responding to the AI? For the title of Total War is based on war and trying to survive and expand via Military strength and diplomatic victories are tricky and difficult.

Roman peace, a state of comparative tranquillity throughout the Mediterranean world from the reign of Augustus (27 bc–ad 14) to that of Marcus Aurelius (ad 161–180). Augustus laid the foundation for this period of concord, which also extended to North Africa and Persia. The empire protected and governed individual provinces, permitting each to make and administer its own laws while accepting Roman taxation and military control. The Latin word pax, most often translated "peace," as in the nominative case in Latin, also means "treaty" or "accord." The Roman legal system, which forms the basis of many Western court systems today, unified the administration of justice in the courts throughout the provinces. The Legions patrolled the borders with success, and though there were still many foreign wars, the internal empire was free from major invasion, piracy, or social disorder on any grand scale.
