Thank you very much! I'll try this out in the morning :)

@MobRules frustratingly, Steam Workshop doesn't seem to support distributing different mod versions for different game versions.

I can't provide support for this, but here is a super-convoluted method that *may* work for manually installing the older version:
1. Right-click Start then Run (or hit Win+R)
2. Type in %appdata% and hit Enter (or click OK)
3. Browse up a level, then down into LocalLow\Freehold Games\CavesOfQud
4. Create a Mods folder in there if none exists
5. Download https://github.com/HunterZ/qudmods/archive/fc3f3a6d7c87361b19499494e192c883789b06d6.zip
6. Extract to an empty folder somewhere
7. Move HZMapPinToggle from the extracted archive into the Mods folder (so that you have Mods\HZMapPinToggle)
8. (Re)start the game
9. Click "Installed Mod Configuration"
10. Set it so that Map Pin Bulk Toggle 1.7 is disabled, and 1.6 is enabled
11. Hit the R key to reload mods
12. Hit Escape to return to the main menu

(ETA: I couldn't copy and paste the error message, but can take a screenshot if that will help. Also, I'm on Linux, don't know if that matters.)

Thus update broke my save :(. Fortunately, I made a backup -- but the game won't load with this mod, but removing this mod corrupts the save. Is there a way to load an older version of a mod? (I'm still using the pre-spring-molting update of the game 2.0.206.78, wanted to finish my current save before updating)

Update released to restore being able to activate this on the world map after the 9 Feb 2024 update.

Minor update has been released for the new stable game version.

@The Rogue: You mean as in disabling Tiles? It seems to work for me in that mode, yes.
The Rogue 27 Jul, 2022 @ 1:41pm
do map pins work on ascii mode?
HunterZ  [author] 20 Jul, 2022 @ 6:22pm
Glad you enjoy them! Thanks for checking them out and for the compliment.

@HunterZ Thanks! Steam...steam...steam..

I have almost found it a good habit to unsubscribe from all mods, and resub once a month.
Anyway, Thanks so much for your amazing mods. Dynamic Background and the Colored Pins and this one and faction. All great stuff.
HunterZ  [author] 11 Jul, 2022 @ 6:34pm
@alividlife: This has already been fixed in the 1.4 release. If Steam won't automatically update for you, maybe try unsubscribing from and resubscribing to the mod in Steam Workshop.

Hey! Been getting this error for a couple days. Can't figure out how to fix it on my own. I am unable to start a game with the mod.

You're awesome HunterZ!

Update: 2.0.203.52 compatibility fix released.

Also added an Options menu setting to control automatic management of category toggles, because I noticed that turning those off overrides what the mod does at the individual journal note level. The three settings are to leave categories alone, always turn them on when applying a bulk toggle (default), or turn them on or off depending on whether any notes are enabled under them.
HunterZ  [author] 9 Jul, 2022 @ 1:59pm
Taking a look now... Looks like 2.0.203.52 replaced the database that tracks the list of visited zones with another solution that also captures the time at which a zone was visited.
Gokudera ElPsyCongroo 9 Jul, 2022 @ 1:23pm
Probably has to do with the new "Journal locations are now marked with a colored '?' to indicate whether you've visited that location." from the update but I don't know how to fix it. Time to start a new save :'(

I agree with Ulterior the Panzie, I'm getting the exact same error. The latest patch today definitely broke something.
Ulterior The Panzie 9 Jul, 2022 @ 2:19am
I see what it is... there was a new patch today and I'm guessing it borked something with the map.

It is throwing out this error now for whatever reason, wasn't doing so until I added the pets from patreon: === Map Pin Bulk Toggle 1.3 Errors ===

@Kinasin: Seems to still be working as of 2.0.203.42
Kinasin 4 Jun, 2022 @ 10:07pm
Does this still work?
Sshado 12 Mar, 2021 @ 7:04pm
Damn, this is a very clever and helpful mod. Love it.
