It does change generals if I remember correctly. Best option is to setup your load order so that FRA's reskins load after my mod so that they'll override the general reskins in this. Depending on how FRA has setup their mod, it may work with the load order either way around but loading FRA's reskins after is the best way to ensure you get those general skins.
Here is the version without the helot reskins: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1910167098
I have to agree tbh the helot skins really do look awful. If you encounter any problems with it I'll try and fix them as soon as I can.
In all honesty I'm pretty surprised this still gets used. I have a very busy day tomorrow and a potentially busy week. Since people still seem to use this I will try to make a separate version without the skirmisher reskins when I can. I recommend subscribing to this thread if you haven't already since I'll post a link here when I get round to making and uploading it.
There was an issue getting that to work previously. If I have time, I might try again or just see if there are new items added to the game that I can implement.
It depends on the time period actually. If I remember correctly, the lambda symbol that you're referring to supposedly was first put on shields during the Peloponnesian wars. Before that Spartans would put designs of their choice on their shields. This does interestingly mean that the 300 most likely didn't carry the famous 'spartan symbol' on their shields.
In terms of how much the symbol was actually used, historical accounts differ. Some suggest that it did become quite popular among Spartans but, like many things from the period, actual historical evidence isn't great so I've gone for a mix of shields as I would expect that to be the case and I personally prefer how it looks.
Yet again, let me emphasise that rather than simply telling me to update, tell me what isn't working even if all you know is that it is crashing at launch. Just saying update makes it seem like you haven't tested it and are just assuming it is out of date. If you simply look a couple of comments back from this, you will see that it shouldn't require an update and that you should try it.
Anyway, hope you all have fun playing

It shouldn't really need an update due to the nature of the mod. The launcher may well say it's out of date but it should still work. In case it actually isn't working (perhaps due to Empire Divided), I'll try and check it works some time this week and perhaps push an update just so it no longer says it is out of date even if it does work. I can't really give a certain dates anymore as other stuff in my life does have to take priority rn.
In addition to that, I am aware that DogSoldierSPQR disappeared with his mods a while ago (Unless my steam is completely broken). I might see if I can keep the skins for his mod in, just in case anyone is still able to use it.

As you can see I got very absorbed in it so I'll work on this frist tommorrow before I play.
