They have 100% vacuum resist by default, no suits needed.
I will not be making changes like that to the mod, if that is something you would like, you can change skill levels using dev-mode. I primarily made this mod so that players could have equal numbers of combat units as raiders and would thus feel more balanced, not for players to make an army of workers. But using the built in toggle you can make the soldiers also do work, and when made they will have random skills allocated to those categories.
I just updated it! I have also made it to where the clay soldiers do not need Vac Suits or Power Armor to stay alive in space, I hope you enjoy!
I have to wait on the HAR dependency to be updated, then I will have it updated, but it may take some time.
Update made, I increased their carry weight to 45kg, I think this is reasonable and not too game breaking, considering you can make an unlimited amount of them.
I will look into this over the weekend!
They can only carry 20 kg, which isn't a lot, especially if you have the 750 kg Carry Capacity mod.
In the mod options there is an option to enable work for all clay soldiers.

Freeze them when they are not in use.
If you have ideas for improvements on this mod, you can use it as a base and make or pay someone to make updates for you. I will not be doing much with this mod until the next version change. When that happens I may look into adding new features, but in that vain you will have to wait for the next dlc.
That is something I may look into in the future, I cannot promise any time frame though.
It'd be nice to have something like a mechanoid shutdown zone where if they can't find a job to do, they just walk to the zone and do nothing until something needs done. It would be such a huge QoL if it's not too much to ask...... TY. I absolutely adore this mod.

Seems to be shuttles and vehicles for the most part
10+ clay soldiers in a shuttle can make the frame rate go down into the single digits for me
Have not had any lag trouble with caravans and have only had a little with drop pods
When you say off map do you mean a drop pod or a caravan? Like is it when you are leaving your tile?
Ok I will see if Taranchuk can figure out the suspected criminal and put them away for good.
As of 1.5 Clay soldiers seem to cause a Massive FPS drop through entering anything that puts pawns "off map". Going from 165 fps to whopping 15 fps hard locked and the DevLog being spammed related to "JobGiver"
Examples:
Pawn(Any) in RimThunder Tanks
Pawn(Any) in Caskets
Pawn(Any) Drop pods
Tested with all mods one by one, final one which seemed to be the causation was Clay soldiers.
Same DevLog output related to JobGiver as @B4t4ta1.
