@Vimes move the files out of 22388_Basic Flats and into the Test1 folder.
Vimes 8 Jan, 2021 @ 8:48am
I see this within the log....

Failed to open E:\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\784150\2312411437\test1\building.ini

Thomas 25 Dec, 2020 @ 6:14pm
Thanks.
The Simulation Geek  [author] 25 Dec, 2020 @ 5:54pm
@Thomas i figured out the problem, but until i figure out how to update files, you will have to manually crop the files out of the 22388_Basic Flats folder and into the test1 folder. @Bud_Spencer already did this, his comment is below. Thank you!
The Simulation Geek  [author] 20 Dec, 2020 @ 8:31pm
Yes @Thomas. Thank you
Thomas 17 Dec, 2020 @ 10:24pm
Thank you. You already got some change notes. May be it will update files same way. Can you ask for help in modders sub forum?
The Simulation Geek  [author] 17 Dec, 2020 @ 9:05am
@thomas im working on it
The Simulation Geek  [author] 17 Dec, 2020 @ 9:04am
@bud spencer Thank you, but i'll have to figure out the workshop mechanics first. I actually don't know how to update files without making a whole new item.
Thomas 15 Dec, 2020 @ 7:47pm
Can you fix it, please.
Bud_Spencer 15 Dec, 2020 @ 2:35pm
Gladly ;) The buildings are now in the content.
It's just one more little thing with the folder structure. The files are located in a second subfolder (22388_Basic Flats). These must be in the first (test1) to be read. The second is therefore not necessary. I manually cropped the files and can now enjoy your houses, they look great.
Thank you!!
The Simulation Geek  [author] 15 Dec, 2020 @ 1:42pm
Sure! I'd really like to. Thank you!
Bud_Spencer 11 Dec, 2020 @ 7:52pm
The same problem occurred with the modder matvey. zi. In the meantime he has managed to fix the whole thing. Maybe you want to contact him, he is very helpful ;)
The Simulation Geek  [author] 9 Dec, 2020 @ 6:40am
Weird. Some people see it, some don't. I made sure i uploaded properly, so... Maybe go under "Editor Buildings" and see if its there

If not, i'm sorry, i cant seem to figure out why.
Thomas 8 Dec, 2020 @ 9:01pm
Actually 10 pages. I don't think I can see any of you mods for some reason.Strange.
Thomas 8 Dec, 2020 @ 8:52pm
Thanks for answering. No need to be sorry. Something probably on my end . Those mods with game editor are new.I have 5 pages of residental mods.
The Simulation Geek  [author] 8 Dec, 2020 @ 7:15pm
@Thomas are you in game rn?
The Simulation Geek  [author] 8 Dec, 2020 @ 7:10pm
@Thomas i'm sorry. I am new to modding, so there will be the occasional bug. The mod in-game is called Basic Flats, I believe. At least for me. Also, how many mods do you have currently?
it should be under "residential" in the "mods" category.

Let me know if it shows up.
Thomas 8 Dec, 2020 @ 6:45pm
And I am on test brunch and downloaded required items?
Thomas 8 Dec, 2020 @ 6:44pm
I can not see this mod in the game? What is the name for this mod ?
The Simulation Geek  [author] 8 Dec, 2020 @ 5:44pm
Basic flats V2 turned into Leningrad Flats, in case youre looking for it
The Simulation Geek  [author] 8 Dec, 2020 @ 12:50pm
@Comrade Joe Thank you. i'm posting another building. if youd like i can put a discord link so we can chat!
Comrade Joe 8 Dec, 2020 @ 5:48am
I haven't tried making buildings with the editor, so I'm not 100% sure what it puts in its building.ini file once you made a building, but I think it's safe to assume it sets all building materials to automatic, and so the quantity necessary is defined by the volume of your building, and that's what makes it so cheap. It is after all pretty small.

Thanks for taking into consideration the capacity question. I think it's good for balance. Personally I won't be using the editor made buildings too much, since we have a huge plethora and variety in housing options so far. But I suppose other players will like building cities with this style as predominant, and given some capacities we've seen in some the recent workshop additions, they could easily turn their glorious socialist planned cities to tumorous overpopulated slums :P

The "quadrilatero" building is another example of excessive capacity, just to cite one whose name stuck to mind.

@Bud_Spencer i'm sorry, i'm new to modding and i can't figure it out. try my other mods and see if they work. But tomorrow i will release Basic Flats V2- slightly bigger, with 95 people, takes longer to build, and costs more, for realism. @Comrade Joe pointed out that 150 ppl in this tiny building is overkill, so i'm making a more realistic version. @Comrade Joe, I think you will like the 2nd version.
Bud_Spencer 7 Dec, 2020 @ 5:01pm
Thanks that is nice but I already use the beta v0. 8. 3. 10 test. Maybe another broken mod, I can’t explain it to myself: (
The Simulation Geek  [author] 7 Dec, 2020 @ 4:46pm
@Bud_Spencer i looked into it. You might have to update your game to the 'test' beta for now, since that is the version i made this mod on. Let me know if you don't know how, i can make a tutorial on my youtube.
The Simulation Geek  [author] 7 Dec, 2020 @ 4:40pm
@Bud_Spencer did you download the Prefab Apartments Element? I listed it under "required items"
The Simulation Geek  [author] 7 Dec, 2020 @ 4:39pm
@Comrade Joe, Thanks for the advice. I may change it or make another (more realistic) mod, but for now, why do you think the building is so cheap? Its good for starting. But i'm still working on improving my knowledge. Thanks! i have another mod too, just posted it. Check it out if you'd like!
Comrade Joe 7 Dec, 2020 @ 4:23pm
It's lovely, like most of the buildings now made with the game's editor, but I feel all of them tend to put an excessive capacity to them.
If you look at the building, it looks like it could host 12 generous apartments, or maybe 18 medium ones, or like 25 tiny ones. In any case it's hard to imagine how you can fit much more than 50 adults in it, leave alone 150.

Keep in mind the game only counts the capacity in terms of adults, then the kids come extra.
With 150 adults in such a small building, in a couple months you'd be requiring at least 2 kindergartens just for it...

I'm not criticizing you personally, since it's your 1st mod, but I've noticed many buildings with excessive capacity that is unrealistic compared to what we see.
Bud_Spencer 7 Dec, 2020 @ 4:23pm
The building looks good on the pic. Unfortunately it`s not ingame.
Have the same problem with two more buildings based on vanilla.
The Simulation Geek  [author] 7 Dec, 2020 @ 4:06pm
@bud_spencer go to mods, and go to residential. should be there
btw can u leave a rating?
thanks
Bud_Spencer 7 Dec, 2020 @ 2:40pm
