After the end of the driving section, you get teleported in a hallway with the door behind you leading to some supplies, and the door at the end of the hallway leads outside. I had been in the same hallway for about 10 minutes, running out of health because there's no health recharging station and I ran out of med-kits. I died and then went into no-clip mode to see what was up, and there are way too many enemies in this section. It heavily disappointed me because the rest of this map is almost perfect.

At the moment I'm only working on part 3 when I have time, a lot of life changes and a busier schedule means I'm only working on it for short periods at a time. Currently its somewhere between 60% - 70% complete and I'll release it when its ready - which will hopefully be before the year is out! I hope to reward anyone waiting patiently with my most ambitious project yet ;)

Thankyou, that's very kind and motivating! Part 3 is still being worked on (slowly!) and the current plan is to release it before October :)

This map, and Somnolence before it, are the best abstract maps I've played through since Shadgrimgrvy's original three. I friggin' love these kinds of maps & would LOVE to see this series get its third map at some point!

Part 3 is coming along slowly, its been stuck in development for most of this year with me chipping away at it every once in a while when life isn't getting in the way. So far I have about 10 minutes worth of playable content and a plan for how the endings will play out but theres a lot more to add and improve first. I'm aiming for a release early(ish) next year, when theres more to share I might upload a screenshot or two ;)

i never claimed to be good, and while i was a little harsh, that's hardly being an asshole, when the map used to have a critical flaw, i'm definitely not the asshole here

and i said "reasonably complete" for lack of a better term, i should've said something like "to complete the map if you're as bad as i am" but you're still wrong lmao

I've fixed the soft lock. When the lasers reach the vent the entrance door will now reopen and after a short delay the lasers will turn off, allowing you to enter the vent. I've also bundled in a couple of extra fixes and changes that I had no excuse to ship an update for. Thanks D MAS for pointing out my oversight :boozehound:

I never said you needed a mod to complete the map ya wanker! Its to help you with the skills and brain cells you lack so very much of. Basically all vents are the same size in this game, yet you needed more than 5 seconds to figure out how to get into one? Haa what a joke. Its one thing when you got a problem, its another when your an asshole about it :steamsalty:

To be fair you can literally just crouch walk into that vent, but I did indeed overlook a softlock in the event that you fail at crouch walking into the vent and thus don't activate the next trigger. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, I'll see about fixing it.

oh yeah because i failed to get into a tiny ass vent when i had five seconds to do so, also that's not happening

i legit hate when people say "just download x and then it's easy" if i have to download a mod to reasonably finish a map, that isn't even designed for it in mind, then the creator of said map has fucking failed in creating an enjoyable experience

@D MAS Get the dishonored abilities so you can blink yourself into the vent, or get guud lol I can't think of a single abstract map that saves your progress. There are however, checkpoints where you can teleport yourself further into the level if you die, that is if your clever enough to find the switches that open specific doors! :melon:

Admittedly I've not tested this thoroughly on lower end hardware, that being said 2fps does seem abnormally low. Check that you don't have too many addons enabled at once and keep an eye out for certain less than efficiently coded mods. A few weapon packs and a simple effects overhaul mod would drop my rig down to 40fps on gm_construct. Nevertheless, I'll see what I can do in regards to optimisation, thanks for playing :)

Yeah, honestly the start of the map was an afterthought. Funnily enough it was actually meant to be the end of Somnolence but I ran out of texture memory and lifted it into this map instead. Nice to see that my original stuff is still enjoyable though. Thanks for playing :boozehound:

you're still copying a bit too much in the beginning, but the map improves a lot after the laser section the driving section was a surprise great job on the map overall
