Here's my sloppy save if you want to see how it looks for yourself.
https://www.mediafire . com/file/10d6xrjq5abawcr/TS_Save_111.json/file
Requires manual setup.
- Shuffle the hard monsters and use as the monster deck
- Shuffle the easy monsters
- Draw the first 2 easy monsters that have different fighting styles from each other and from the top hard monster
- Place the 2 selected easy monsters on top of the deck
- Place the remaining easy monsters in the unused components bag
The end result should be a deck where:
- The top 2 monsters are easy and the rest (at least 3) are hard
- The top 3 monsters (2 easy and 1 hard) all have different fighting styles
I saw a Machi Koro mod that did something like this, but it was very fiddly and it confused the people I was playing with. I don't like scripts that get in the way of people that are trying to just play manually, or that will make it harder if people don't perform the correct voodoo magic inputs, so I would be pretty picky about what I come up with. Maybe a card-splayer tool that people can place down however they like, or something like that.
I was also considering doing some kind of automatic total score calculation, which might eliminate the need to splay them out at all if you don't care about the other information on them (you could just have 3 decks).
One thing that would be nice to see added (since you seem like a very competent scripter) would be a way to tuck completed challenges under the playerboard. I have a mod for Spacebase that does this same sort of functionality so I know it's possible, but I have no idea how.
Anyways, keep up the good work!
