Greetings. I saw something in one of your pics above about "similar to Greenskin cooking". I'm playing a Greenskin Campaign currently. I've looked for a Greenskin cooking mod here on Steam but no luck. Any suggestions or do you have the link?

A damn shame this mod was abandoned, wish someone else could take over. It literally makes Orion playable... by the way it also sucks how the community has to create decent content to make the "vanilla" game playable, the original wood elves made by CA sucks so much, same goes for Bretonnia... factions like these two NEEDS mods

I wish once a mod has no been updated (and does not match the game update version within a few months) that they were automatically taken down. or hidden from the public. It's a pain to trawl past 5000 dead mods :/

I've got the same issue as the described by bellow commenters: the game just crashes when trying to load a save due to memory load. WIth that being said, even when it worked for the first time, most of the Ariel's Research effects (like reduced recruit time, upkeep, etc) don't work.

I still adored this mod and really looking forward to the new version.

Hey, just letting you know that the mod seems to work at large with a few errors:
- Ariel's "cooking book" cannot be entered through the button in the bottom right corner, but works through the icon in the top bar.
- The symbiosis amount doesn't display if you play as Naieth the Prophetess or Lord Daith from Mixu's Legendary Lords. The Symbiosis effect itself seems to work and go up and down, it's just that you can't see how much of it you have at the time.

Hello. I don't know if it was possibly due to a compatibility problem with another mod, but I found that upon quitting the game and then loading a save with this mod active the next day, my game would take a massive amount of memory to load which would crash my PC

Are you sure? I feel like something is causing a huge memory leak, it shouldn't use all memory on full loading, should it? Or does it actually continue? Cause I haven't tried waiting more than 1 minute and I don't know if I want to test it out if I'm uncertain :/

Hey guys, unfortunately there can be increased problems with the mod since the last CA update. I recommend "Kaedrin's Mod Manager", which alone can fix some problems. Otherwise you have to be a bit more patient when loading the campaign and just wait, even if you have the feeling that the game would have hung up. It's the same with me, but after some time the bar still runs through and everything is loaded.

On this occasion:
I am currently working on a new mod that has many aspects of "Symbiosis" in it and will probably be my last version in WH2. However, it is still uncertain when this will be ready, because I find very little time for modding at the moment.

All in all: Patience is the keyword ;-)

Aw shit I think I said that too early. When the loading bar gets full, it starts ramping up memory usage, basically as much as it can and makes the whole PC do constant freezes until WH2 is force exited.

To further elaborate: I try to play Orion, and to elaborate on the memory usage I have 16GB, and it basically goes up to 10+GB used in seconds :(

Hm, so I cant seem to research anything in the "ruins of the old world" menu? I can click and drag, and exit, out but cant seem to actually research. Any potential reasons or mod conflicts that could explain it(could note the mod order if desired)

Yes, it is not compatible with Altdorf Zoo - use only one of the two, depending on the campaign

@ everyone:
Because of the update in March, many mods were incompatible for the time being. Now it should be fixed, but I have little time for more modding at the moment.

this is great mod but for some reason I can't play it anymore, I have new SFO activated with this any game crashes during loading the Campaign, anyone have any ideas why?

@benettonkkb: For e it works with both mods, Symbiosis and Arrow Upgrades. But of course you can only choose one upgrade per unit, so it's not possible to have the ammunition upgrade from this mod and one of the enchanted arrows from the other mod at the same time.

After playing this for a while without knowing wth was going on, lately on +- turn 35 I finally noticed the mechanics. Such a great idea... the more you take from the forest, that gives you a Chaos penalty. Then you have to give it back, etc.. Really cool idea. If the symbioses could be applied for all WEF factions, not only Orion, that would be great. Also, it seems the weapons and other items are only "unlocked" after confederating with Daith? If that's so, that's awesome

I agree the research component doesn't seem needed, honestly it would be kinda neat if that was instead replaced with the unit upgrades in a plug and play sort of way. That said I still like the mod, though I wonder if it would be a nice added balance to require different trade value items ontop of symbiosis to make different items. I.e. Needing obsidian to make level 3 stuff etc. Maybe I just like the thought of a mixed crafting concept for this. Still I hope you continue to support this mod. :D

The rituals are weird, some harvests increase and some decrease symbiosis. It s impossible to keep any amount of symbiosis from the start due to the huge fading amount and you just have to quickly use the biggest harvest option. The UI is a bit cluttered. Looks like you wanted to add mechanics for the sake of mechanics. There is no need for that research button and its mechanic. I like the whole idea but not your implementation.

Has it been reported that when playing the Legendary Lords in Mixu's Legendary pack (along with his unlocker mod) you can't see the total amount of Symbiosis on the UI? I just started a campaign with Naieth and while I can use the Symbiosis system it does not let me see how much I have.

I see, but I don't think I have other modded resources in my game, so that should in theory be the only one, and it seems a little odd that it displays in SP and not MP. Thanks for the reply though. I could just artificially find out roughly how much I have by seeing what Symbiosis level I'm in and just cross checking it with an image of all the levels, so it's nothing super game breaking but yeah it's just a little odd to me.

Thanks for the reply! I think an easy short term solution would probably be to have your Worldroots 2.0 mod enable the worldroots for factions other than Durthu, or have a submod for that. I know there's currently an odd UI issue with the province edicts using SFO and your Worldroots 2.0 that would have to be resolved first though. I know all that is probably easier said than done though.

It's not on your end. Apparently the UI just doesn't seem to handle two simultaneous custom currencies well. This is mentioned in the description of the mod as well.

One way to help mitigate this issue may be to have the Symbiosis range e.g.(700-800) for the current status in the description in the status bar at the top instead of just the effect description for the current level of symbiosis. This would allow for a rough estimation of current symbiosis without having to see the exact number.

Hi there, I've been messing with this mod in a mod list with a friend of mine for a multiplayer game. There is a little graphical issue though, in that the symbiosis resource doesn't actually show up at all when we play it in multiplayer, but in singleplayer it does. Any ideas on if we're doing anything wrong here?

That's exactly how I understood it - I calculated it so that the Symbiosis cost or gain is extremely high in one fell swoop, but then due to the counteracting effect per turn, regain, or lose, something. The fact that there are only 6 per round is also intentional. These two drastic rituals are supposed to be something special, unlike the common ones.

That's right, this overlap will only work with SFO now with Durthu. I will tinker the days on a balanced solution that can fill this gap without undermining the SFO balance too much. Glad to hear it! :)

SFO has restricted the Worldroots system to just Durthu with the current release. This causes symbiosis values to be very difficult to keep up for anyone besides Durthu, even with the easy submod. I know you have your World Roots 2.0 mod which would enable it for the other wood elves, but it doesn't appear to be quite compatible with SFO either dude to province commands not all being available due to some weird UI issues. Love the mods though, they add a lot of depth to the wood elves!

I think you misunderstood the previous persons statement The largest harvest that gives you gold is also adding to symbiosis when it should be detracting and vice versa for the largest one that should add, they also only by +-6 for some reason.

Yes, this is intentional - the two big exchange rituals increase or decrease the resource enormously, but relativize themselves again after a few rounds.

One thing i noticed on first few minutes -with the crafting mechanic -> is the one (biggest harvest) that gives you 10 000 gold realy supposed to INCREASE the growth of the resource ?. All others that give you money decrease it.
Also i m starting with -33 growth of the reasource for w/e reason.

hi, new dlc units don't seem to be able to acess the upgrades on army screen, same with a couple of ror units, great mod would be nice to have even more op great stags :)

want some unhelpful bug stuff? it still has some sort of incompatibility with something to do with UI where amber and the moon crystals get removed while still showing symbiosis. useful right? sry i cant be more specific, its something I noticed with this massive mod list i have. i have no idea what mod touches what, but i figured id throw it out just in case you had mod magic,

Hi, great mod. Just a bug notification - the Symbiosis currency does not display on co-op (only tested with both players as WE). We are just working out how much we have by what we can afford in Glamourweaving!
