No problem, glad I could help! You'll have to build the small ship portion first with the projector, which should be fairly easy since it isn't too big. After that you'll need to place the welder separately; just read the section in the description that discusses it + the comments below. Fly safe = )

@madame catastrophe Thank you, at first thats what I thought but it seemed to big since on the dlc page the gate is only 2 blocks tall. When I get back to my home pc ill try this blueprint out since it seems like it will work nice! Do you know if its pretty easy to build in a projector?

After I took a second look at the photos it seems like two gates put together...Im an idiot. Thank you for your time though!

@FerretForRent It's the gate block from frostbite DLC (technically vanilla).

unrelated to the blueprint, but what mod does the hangar door belong to in the last two images?

No, he's saying you'd build the subgrid manually since it's just a large grid advanced rotor head and a large grid welder. No blueprint needed.
Rilwer 28 Dec, 2020 @ 6:06pm
Oh so the blueprint will appear after those two blocks are placed?
hvalross  [author] 28 Dec, 2020 @ 5:49pm
@Rilwer you don't need a blueprint for the subgrid. Just place a large grid advanced rotor head and then build a large grid welder on it--it only needs those two blocks.

As I am new to space engineers, I do not know how to get the subgrid so I can build this in survival. Am I missing something or is there a separate blueprint I need to print it?

Instead of a sacrifice, have you tried a snackrifice?

It's probably worth a shot. I'm not sure if I'll do any extensive testing with this since, well...it really just depends as far as Lord Clang's wrath goes. Landing gears tend to be worse for me when doing subgrid attachment things, but maybe I just haven't been performing enough sacrifices ; p
Kam Solastor 22 Dec, 2020 @ 1:46pm
Ah, gotcha. I'm wondering if that might not be creating/exacerbating the other issues - maybe try holding it with a landing gear somewhere instead?

@Kam Solastor In my experience, it's hard to move the small ship onto the large grid head if the head is a ship and free to move...even using dampeners they still don't do a great job of compensating for spin. I just give advice based on what has worked for me.

Just wondering, why convert to station at all? Why not just built the welder and rotor head, leave it as is (so, large ship) then bring up the small ship, attach on the rotor base - should be done, unless CLANG decides to get ya.

good job thumb up!
