great mod. is it possible instead showing m_strEmptyUnlocks = "There is no information to display", just not display this windows/box? (hide)
Flash 10 Aug, 2024 @ 8:42pm
totally agree, so annoying
Old Man Jenkins 23 Jul, 2023 @ 5:40pm
This dude below me is on one about steam tags, he posts this crap everywhere. Everyone calls it WOTC, it's an abbreviation, like when people say USA instead of United States of America. Perfectly acceptable and everyone knows exactly what they mean. Being weirdly obsessed with steam tags is an odd hill to die on I'll give you that, taking the time to copy and paste that useless garbage over and over again.
BottomScorer 6 Jan, 2023 @ 6:39am
One Steam tag should be sufficient!

War of the Chosen

NOT war of the chosen!
NOT WotC!

@authors Just for your information. If using the Useful Autopsies mods the possibilities for experimental ammo still show the ammo that was removed by the mods.
alkurte 8 Jan, 2022 @ 5:11am
is this mod also compatible with the legacy/ vanilla game?
Kiruka 14 Dec, 2021 @ 8:25am
Follow up regarding the arrTechToHide variable, I finally got around to looking in the code, and it's set up to only check for TechTemplates, not ItemTemplates. So it wouldn't be able to do what I want it to.
TeslaRage  [author] 11 Oct, 2021 @ 8:12am
@Gas yea take a look at the config files on how to obfuscate. There are some samples in there. You will need to look up the autopsy names in XComGame.int of base game.
Gas 11 Oct, 2021 @ 6:26am
Is there a way to Obfuscate autopsies as a reward?
Rossocuore 8 Oct, 2021 @ 8:50am
@TeslaRage great explanation. Thank you very much again for this amazing mod and for your support.
TeslaRage  [author] 7 Oct, 2021 @ 6:18pm
@Rossocuore In base game, Purifier Autopsy unlocks Reinforced Underlay but technically the way it has been coded makes it impossible for this mod to detect. I would hate to hardcode this bit into this mod so let's leave it as limitation for now.
Rossocuore 7 Oct, 2021 @ 10:08am
Hi! First of all I'd like to thank the authors for this amazing and much needed mod. Then I have a question: why the advent purifier autopsy shows no unlocks in my playthrough?
Kiruka 5 Oct, 2021 @ 8:58am
@TeslaRage Regarding XComLW_Overhaul.ini, when using it to disable an item, I do so by making it unable to be built, and adding a ridiculously high Science Score requirement to it (99999).

I have not tried arrTechToHide, because the name implied it hides techs, not items. Does it also work for item templates?
TeslaRage  [author] 5 Oct, 2021 @ 7:43am
@Kiruka, on your 2nd point, have you tried to use arrTechToHide config entries?
TeslaRage  [author] 5 Oct, 2021 @ 7:23am
Welp, Gene Mods has its own custom template. I will add to my to-do list.
TeslaRage  [author] 5 Oct, 2021 @ 7:15am
I will take a look at Gene Mods. Not sure why it would not show up actually.
About disabling rewards, what happens when a reward is disabled via XComLW_Overhaul.ini? Does it not remove the required techs of those items/techs?
Kiruka 4 Oct, 2021 @ 11:21pm
Is it possible to add Gene Mods to the list of rewards that are shown?

Also, is it possible to disable certain rewards from showing up at all (i.e., even no ????)? The reason being that even if certain rewards have been completely disabled (via XComLW_Overhaul.ini for example), they still show up in the rewards list.
Zyxpsilon 25 Sep, 2021 @ 6:26pm
Yep.. already got both!
And, comment applies @TeslaRage too, then.
RustyDios  [author] 25 Sep, 2021 @ 6:14pm
@Zyxpsilon
Thanks for the kind words :)
However, this project here was the work of TeslaRage (and by extension Oni ).. I just collaborated here to clean up/streamline the code. I am glad you like the result. For Psionics Ex Machina there is a standalone plugin that we made that you might like also.
Zyxpsilon 25 Sep, 2021 @ 12:17pm
@RustyDios

WoW!

This *is* far better implementation than my oldish attempt at limited (one or two unlocked elements only) details via direct INT strings edit below the "Cost" sections.
You smoothly integrated everything into a neat sub-panel with clearly marked symbols.

Love this.. more so now for the complex SOCI mod & PsiExMachina stuff.

As reference from WC_INFormApps (09/2017) == (( https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1136937041 ))... check it out, just for kicks, buddy!
XpanD 26 Aug, 2021 @ 1:16pm
Just finished a campaign with about 280 mods, this one included, and had no major issues! Thanks for putting this up, this is super useful.
RustyDios  [author] 14 Jul, 2021 @ 12:16am
This should work fine for LWotC but will not work for vanilla xcom/lw2 due to requiring the WOTC Highlander.
vrndll.g 14 Jul, 2021 @ 12:11am
do you have this mod for long war 2? thanks
Mustang0524 26 Jun, 2021 @ 6:34am
HOW have I never seen this mod, so useful....TY!
TeslaRage  [author] 5 Apr, 2021 @ 2:46am
@Brain_is_Back Thank you, will load it for the next update :)
Brain_is_Back 4 Apr, 2021 @ 11:51pm
I translated this mod into Korean. I want you to add this file to the mod.

@modifieda4 You're welcome.
modifieda4 17 Feb, 2021 @ 3:31pm
thank you for this awesome mod! I'm using this with LWOTC, so far so good.
RustyDios  [author] 8 Feb, 2021 @ 11:22am
This mod works with everything. It -finds- the information the same way the game would find the next upgrade/unlock. So there isn't a list of 'supported mods' ?
lolcatjunior 8 Feb, 2021 @ 10:33am
Do you have a list of all the supported mods?
Planewalker 7 Feb, 2021 @ 1:11pm
It is really weird that the rewardcard doesn't update when scrolling the list with a controller.

-i did find a workaround however: after selecting a researchitem, pressing "Pause Menu" (opening and closing it)will update the rewardcard.
(i'm guessing it needs an extra screen listener)

Idk if this tidbit is useful; it's how i make it work anywho.

cheers
Gladiator 3 Feb, 2021 @ 2:12pm
Doesn't work with controller. Shows only the 1st research reward for all researches.
RustyDios  [author] 14 Jan, 2021 @ 4:08pm
:( damn, sorry to hear this. I though Tesla and I had managed to come up with a working solution.

I had the stuck info with a keyboard and mouse though, which does seem to be fixed. And neither of us own controllers to test it.

Can you try it with only THIS mod, just to make sure that we're not introducing a compatibility issue with both ?
RedDobe 14 Jan, 2021 @ 3:53pm
I just loaded the game again with his update, and it is still not scrolling properly with a controller.
TeslaRage  [author] 14 Jan, 2021 @ 3:41pm
Yes that one
RedDobe 14 Jan, 2021 @ 1:47pm
@TeslaRage - Are you referring to this mod published by Rusty? If so, then yes I am running it. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2353302262
TeslaRage  [author] 13 Jan, 2021 @ 8:00pm
@RedDobe
Are you running PExM's version of this mod too? Rusty had same issue as you and he made a fix on that mod. Works for him, can you let us know if it fixes for you too?
RedDobe 13 Jan, 2021 @ 5:30am
No worries, just thought that I would let you know.
TeslaRage  [author] 12 Jan, 2021 @ 8:18pm
@RedDobe Yeah probably, I will have to get help from UI experts to fix.
RedDobe 12 Jan, 2021 @ 8:01pm
Hmm. When I enter the research facility it only shows the unlocks for whatever research is on top, even if I scroll down. I am using a controller so maybe that is why?
Jan 9 Jan, 2021 @ 1:07am
I've been waiting for a mod like this for a long time. I finished the story a long time ago, how am I supposed to remember each and every research unlock.

just seeing this... GREAT MOD!
Vegeta002 8 Jan, 2021 @ 10:59am
@Yeetimus Prime - XCOM 2 should have a second launcher (ModLauncherWPF.exe) in the main directory of both the vanilla and WotC game.

Mods work fine when using that, I've been using it since the devs messed up the regular launcher and refuse to fix it.
TeslaRage  [author] 7 Jan, 2021 @ 5:22pm
You should use Alternative Mod Launcher. The standard launcher does not work well with mods. https://github.com/X2CommunityCore/xcom2-launcher

Please follow the installation instructions. If you run into problems, please reach out on XCOM 2 Discord.
Yeetimus Prime 7 Jan, 2021 @ 4:40pm
hey guys general question here. how can i get vanilla xcom 2 mods to work with WOTC? i have some voice packs that i want to use that say they're WOTC compatible but i cant use them in game even if i try to turn them on.
TeslaRage  [author] 4 Jan, 2021 @ 6:37am
You're welcome
