That Flare Automatically Launches, So If Its Night, You Can See
WolfyBobbo18 5 Apr, 2023 @ 8:42am
Yeah, when All the systems are on It does not drive. And a flare automatically launches as soon as it sets down
theoshuff 16 Mar, 2023 @ 5:29am
when the boat is spawned in, there is a flare that automatically launches
NotNicro 6 Mar, 2023 @ 5:34pm
how do I use the helicopter?
theoshuff 3 Dec, 2022 @ 4:28am
I see there are small fluid tanks, and with the new desalinator you could get more fresh water into it from the ocean
masoon? 30 Nov, 2022 @ 5:25pm
needs alot of things to be fixed
theoshuff 26 Aug, 2022 @ 4:26pm
There used to be alot of fire hose pumps but there is now alot less
StormPilot 29 Jun, 2022 @ 8:57am
0/10 Totally didnt use the console and it sank.
TritanicWolf 10 Jun, 2022 @ 11:10am
How do you refuel it?
A Normal Steem User 6 Jun, 2022 @ 5:15pm
So there seems to be a problem with the stab system, the ship rocks violently when spawned, even with no wing, rain, or fog
A Normal Steem User 3 May, 2022 @ 7:29pm
This is such good ship! I love the way it looks and performs! The inside is amazing! Great job
Ry3Guy  [author] 15 Apr, 2022 @ 8:13am
not sure what you mean, just tested them all again, they seem fine. make sure you flip the secondary breakers on the bridge before trying to use them
theoshuff 12 Apr, 2022 @ 6:22am
Why was the fire hose pumps removed?
Ry3Guy  [author] 16 Mar, 2022 @ 2:02pm
I've been away from the game since not long after first release of this but have slowly been back a little, will see about fixing the cooling issue, thanks everyone for the continued support
PlanetVenus 14 Mar, 2022 @ 10:14am
But please add a scuttle
PlanetVenus 14 Mar, 2022 @ 9:22am
1 year 3 months later is still an amazing ship
MysticKeiko 13 Feb, 2022 @ 6:56pm
dunno if anyones still here but 1 year later lol its a kool boat
theoshuff 6 Feb, 2022 @ 4:41am
Like connecting the engines coolant with a fluid pump
theoshuff 6 Feb, 2022 @ 4:33am
The engines keep overheating, is there any better forms of engine cooling you could use?
Joseph D. 18 Oct, 2021 @ 2:54pm
Super stable. I opened all the doors, set wind to 100%, enabled vehicle damage, disabled stabilizers and turned on all the engines. Ship took 30 minutes and 2 icebergs before sinking.
Oiadine 2 Oct, 2021 @ 8:00am
connect the cooling hoses then or something
Coolguy 2 Oct, 2021 @ 6:52am
no the heat is really an issue. they over heat in a few minutes and burn the ship
Arty_mc5482 3 Sep, 2021 @ 6:07pm
i tested it and only the 1% of the 100% makes it move faster or with more rps
Arty_mc5482 3 Sep, 2021 @ 6:05pm
u dont need 100 throttle u only need 1
Delta 24 Mar, 2021 @ 4:08am
I load this ship and cooling hoses in engine room not connected all the time
Oiadine 8 Mar, 2021 @ 6:04pm
If you really are having heat problems, try giving the engines a rest break some times, they cool off very quickly when not working.
Oiadine 8 Mar, 2021 @ 6:03pm
well the stab isn't too much of a problem, and if you really want to risk it you can turn off the stabilization from the bridge

as for the engines overheating, they don't overheat too fast, and you would be surprised by how much heat they can take. I think it took like 300 with the coolant off and throttle engaged

even then I had to stop the ship in order for them to say 'k bai'
Phase 8 Mar, 2021 @ 5:49pm
Two problems that I see: One, the engines overheat very quickly.. though this could just be stormworks being buggy. Two, the ship seems to be top-heavy which causes the stabilizer system to constantly work overtime, even in smooth waters.. or something like that..
Oiadine 23 Feb, 2021 @ 3:41pm
***heresy***
Magicraptor5114 23 Feb, 2021 @ 10:57am
i just turned the engines on then left the starter
Oiadine 29 Jan, 2021 @ 9:01am
typically works better in deep sea
philippeblondeau2005 29 Jan, 2021 @ 6:43am
I love this ship, too bad my pc can't run it really well,
Oiadine 24 Jan, 2021 @ 5:18am
the stab system does force you to use the extinguisher instead of the hose tho, because it always gets hit by the water from the hose.
williamsa1997 24 Jan, 2021 @ 4:47am
so the merlin with the folding tail does sit comfortably on the rear deck, although I did move the exhaust flue further forward to minimize the risk of hitting the rotor, also added more rope anchor points for ease of connecting a larger heli
Ry3Guy  [author] 23 Jan, 2021 @ 1:31pm
btw i have been looking at opportunities to use the new flooder block for optimization, and the problem I've noticed is that if you put one of those in a room, you can't enter that room at all, like some kind of physics forcefield keeps you out of it, and I designed this ship to reach every area for repairs. So I'll check into it more becuase it is a big ship with lots of physics, but that issue has detered me using those new blocks so far
Ry3Guy  [author] 23 Jan, 2021 @ 1:28pm
Williams, I'll look into the breaker electric situation. I don't believe I tested the ship in lightning situations. The breaker flipping can be annoying when it gets knocked out all the time but i will look into a solution for saving power in storms. It's true that the stab system can drain its own battery in extended rough weather. There are some systems to alleviate that, but i have a few things in mind to tune it up better. As for the firefighting, the systems I put in the other day can reach most parts of the ship now, but I think i'll add another system for the aft end by the helipad. i don't really like the thought of automatic systems just because I think fighting them manually even if it just means turning a system on like with the engines, to me thats more fun than having the systems run automatically
Ry3Guy  [author] 23 Jan, 2021 @ 1:25pm
So for idling, i did recently fix that, within the last day or so. It can idle and not move now if you just use the main engines, if you flip the switch next to it for the water thrusters it will move forward with those tho
Oiadine 23 Jan, 2021 @ 11:49am
Yes, but not with the main engines. You have to activate the generator from the generator room on the engine deck (floor made of pipes)

It should be easy to spot, first room on the left, with some red solid fuel canisters on it
White_Brow231 TTV 23 Jan, 2021 @ 11:46am
Is this ship able to 'idle'? engine dies without throttle but sometimes i just wanna sit still somewhere
Oiadine 23 Jan, 2021 @ 10:53am
true
williamsa1997 23 Jan, 2021 @ 9:58am
yeah, only a minor thing but in a bad storm, especially if you've taken on water or need the stabilization it would be better on most craft to have the main battery on breakers
Oiadine 23 Jan, 2021 @ 9:30am
it will have red solid fuel canisters on top of it
Oiadine 23 Jan, 2021 @ 9:30am
in the case you do not know where the generator room is (and by extension, the generator itself and the aux batteries), it is in the engine deck, go to the first watertight door you see and there should be a room just past it on the left
Oiadine 23 Jan, 2021 @ 9:29am
don't worry m'dude, there is an auxilary battery switch in the generator room
williamsa1997 23 Jan, 2021 @ 9:19am
noticed an issue, if you run everything straight off the battery there's a power loss risk in storms, for future builds it's better to have a breaker panel that will trip in the event of a surge to protect the battery charge, ideally a main switch feeding the various systems
SlimBill69 23 Jan, 2021 @ 8:33am
Oh I knew about the control room but not the unsecure button. Thanks
Oiadine 23 Jan, 2021 @ 2:10am
the control area is at the top of the ship, on the bridge (not in)

you also need to unsecure the crane (there is a button for that, it is on by default)
SlimBill69 22 Jan, 2021 @ 7:20pm
Also, I can't seem to operate the bow crane for some reason
SlimBill69 22 Jan, 2021 @ 6:03pm
With the new physics flooder block you should try and optimize this ship even more. (runs great by the way) this would really bring this ship to the next level. Keep up the good work :)
