I had an Save, after loading and not pausing the error happens after some seconds.
It was hard to find the building, which causes the crash, because there is no useable log file so I must remove all vehicles, buildings, etc....
Yes, I know that economies of scale work a little bit differently IRL, but since there isn't money in the internal market in the game, making it less productive in terms of output is the best I can do and it's consistent with what the game does. For example, the large shopping centre serves 9 customers per worker and the small one - only 6 per worker. Are you going to complain to the devs that the small shopping centre is totally worthless? You'll be better off plopping the giant one in hamlet with 10 houses and only limiting the workforce. The same goes for different housing etc. Not everything has to be optimal.
What we're saying is that most of the effort and cost with component factories is setting up the supply chain, transportation, and steel supply, the building itself is basically nothing, so a small building that consumes more steel is worthless, the economies of scale come from logistical simplicity and flexibility, not from the ratio of production. The trucks that bring steel to the factory cost more than the factory itself in this game half the time.
1. For making mechanical components on my own in the early game (but after building a steel mill) when I don't need that many of them. Obviously, I don't export the excess components because that would be unprofitable, I only export steel then.
2. To avoid transporting mechanical components to a small town from far away, when steel is there anyway (for construction).
If you like to be even more self-dependent than I do, you can also use it
3. For making mechanical components on your own in the early game from imported steel.
I think this would be more realistic, why should they need more steel per unit of component just becausee the factory is smaller?
Once again, you make really good mods, super happy to get to use them
I love your work, man!
Please keep it up!
Again! Mod Monday video. :)
